Reviews of acoustic solutions speaker
Acoustic Solutiuons AS222
Review of Acoustic Solutions AS222 by
weavern
Advantages: Small compact speakers
Disadvantages: Limited connections
...Great DVD sound system. Cheap, easily connected (it took me 5 mins!) Comes with all the cables you will need (speaker terminall connections) and fully usable instructions which you can follow! (Thats rather rare these days) Comes with a A3 colour sheet explaining how to connect and positions in the room for the speakers.
Speaker wires are colour coded so you can easily connect up. You can connect 1 5.1 (seperate channels) or 1 stereo input. It could do with maybe 1 more oudio input for another device, but thats probably just me!
Great little kit, sub is very bassy and you can adjust the volume seperate to the other speakers. They are compact but the sound they prodduce is amazing quality. Would recomend...

A GREAT PAIR OF SPEAKERS
Review of Mission 771 by
jcneil
Advantages: Bass performance, All rounders
Disadvantages: None
...After selling a pair of Acoustic Solution floorstanders I was looking around the internet for a pair of speakers. I ended my search by paying £62.50 on ebay including postage, packing and delivery on a pair of Mission's highly rated 771 standmounters. Once I had won the item I couldnt wait to receive these speakers and I received them last friday.
These speakers are very stylish looking and are part of the award winning Mission 77 series. which also includes 772,773,774 and centre and rear speakers. These 771 speakers which were released in 1998 may look small even for stand mounters but I can assure you that the sound is anything but small. There is a great amount of scale here and great detail.
Whatever you throw at these speakers they handle with a great passion and verve. From bass heavy dance music to soft piano led music by Tori...

Still A great pair of speakers
Review of Mission 702e by
jcneil
Advantages: Bass Performance, Treble performance
Disadvantages: You have to really look around to find them.
...I'm looking for a new hifi, I sold my old Acoustic Solution AV120 Floorstanding speakers on ebay and I am currently looking for a pair of new speakers to start with and these Mission 702e floorstanding speakers are very high on my speakers list.
Released back in 1999, these floorstanders are the Mission 702e's carrying on the great series of the Mission 700's including standmounters 700 and 701. These speakers were given a five star rating by what-hifi sound and vision and have been very popular since they were released.
The overall sound of these floorstanders is very good indeed. Bass performance is the most impressive thing about these speakers. You get a huge amount of solid taut bass here. The bass never sounds unruly or out of place.
The treble performance is also fantasic with vocals and instruments sounding very natural...

Excellent centre speaker for home cinema
Review of Liberty Centre by
dobieg
Advantages: Sounds great, looks good as well
Disadvantages: 'Unobtrusive' it isn't !
...Home cinema is becoming increasingly popular, but do you buy a package, or 'roll your own'.
For me, it was a 'no brainer' I'd spent quite enough on a new amplifier and speakers for the hi-fi and wasn't prepared to lash out on another set of boxes just for the sake of it.
Besides, 'all in one solutions' anr notorious for cutting corners to keep the price down, and speakers have always been one of the first components to suffer.
Eltax only make speakers, so their reputation is on the line if they try to hard to cut costs.
Complementing my Eltax Liberty 5 speakers perfectly - this unit marked my transition to proper 'home cinema'
The single biggest difference between 'Stereo TV' and 'Home Cinema' is the centre speaker.
Home cinema extracts film dialogue and plays it through the middle speaker, leaving the outside speakers to get...

Hear it to believe it
Review of Acoustic Solutions DS1033 by
Abracadabra007
Advantages: Posh Look, High Quality sound
Disadvantages: Delay in charging up, cannot read LED from distance
...I bought the Acoustic Solutions DS1033 speaker system from EBay for just £65 around an year ago. When it was delivered, I could not believe the heavy weight of package.
Frankly, I did not have too many expectations for a home cinema system at this cost, but the DS1033 has impressed me a lot. Read below for the reasons!!!
Till date we had no problems what-so-ever with the system.
Dimensions:
(D)36.5, (W)20, (H)38cm.
System Setup:
The instructions are pretty simple to setup the whole system. We set the back speakers behind our sofa and the front speakers at the corners of the wall. The bass lies right in the middle of the front speakers. All the wires are colour coded so it is very simple to plug them in. You can have 3 different inputs - Optical (Used for DVD), Coaxial (spare), Aux (Used for satellite).
4 discreet 2 way...

Review of Acoustic Solutions DS133 by
fatmatt06
Advantages: good sound quality, cheap, durable
Disadvantages: default rear speaker volume is low
...A friend of mine origianlly brought this 5.1 system from Argos for around £60 a good few years ago now. He purchased some better speakers and sold these ones to me for £30, i am have had them just over a year now and am very pleased with them.
There are 5 speakers and one bass cabinet.

BEST AMP SO FAR???
Review of Acoustic Solutions SP100 by
cokemusic2009
Advantages: loud, good sound, looks nice
Disadvantages: over heats, when really loud, does sound distorted
...it all started, when me and my friend went to cash converters and looked for an amp, he brought the acoustic solutions sp100, for £45, it didnt come with a box, or instructions but it is very easy to use when you get use to it and is very light for transporting. He only used it for around two months, then desided to sell it to me, for £30, and what a bargin it was.
Ive had this amp now, for around two years, in its time, it has been connected to many speakers, ranging from 12 inch subs, to floorstands, both with brilliant sound qaulity.
this amp can be used to connect many things, i have had my mixer connected to it, and used it to do gigs, as this amp definatly has the power for a small party, or garden party. The amp only has 2 speaker outputs, which use bare-wire speakers, so you can use a wide range of speakers on this amp...

Acoustic Solutions DS534
Review of Acoustic Solutions DS534 by
Mophandleman
Advantages: Cheap, Decent Quality
Disadvantages: Speaker Stands, Remote
...I was looking for a surround sound system for under €200, and with prices in Ireland that is no easy feat. After shopping around and finding plenty of Home cinema systems with no Optical in and maybe one anaolgue in I was giving up and was gonna start saving the €380 (approx $550) on the Sony equivelent when I saw this for sale in Argos for €150.
It has one optical input which is perfect for the XBox 360 and 2 x Analogue which was perfect for Sky box & DVD player. There was also a COAX digital input which I did not use.
Setup: Any system where you're wiring in 5 speakers will be fiddly work but with all the speakers clearly labeled with their positions it wasn't too bad. I had all the speakers wired and positioned in about 15 mins. I was quite lucky as I have a small room and the rear speakers had the perfect length cable...

Great value for money, but could be better
Review of Acoustic Solutions DS533 by
alexp999
Advantages: great value for money, perfect for game consoles
Disadvantages: not good for music, no settings memory, subwoofer quiet
...This is my first and current surround system been going for a few years now being used about 10hours a week so very durable. This is a great little surround system, it is absolutly perfect for gaming the sound quality is perfectly sufficient, and if you fiddle with the settings reasonable bass. There are a few things though that I would want improved. The first is standby is not standby, the sytem remains on with low level buzzing from the speakers, so you turn it off at the switch which then wipes the settings menu. I have got it off to a tee now when you turn it on to get the settings I want, but it can be slightly annoying. On the upside compared to a 250 pound JVC system downstairs it auto detects the incoming signal so it will auto switch itslef to dolby digital mode when you turn on you xbox, or pro-logic II for playstation...

A great bit of kit for the money
Review of Acoustic Solutions PORTAL1 by
Jonesthesteam
Advantages: Incredible value for money
Disadvantages: Not much
...This model was available for £29.95 in ASDA and I bought it there and then. For that sort of money you normally get an FM version although you don't get an alarm facility.
I got it home and the first thing that I noticed is the great build quality. This feels great to hold, and the tuning and volume knobs have a good tactile feel (it's quite heavy in the hand). I loaded up the 6 x 'C' batteries and the two-line, backlit display anounces itself. I pressed auto-tune and after several seconds it had tuned itself in to all of the available stations. You use the left hand knob to scroll though the stations (presets would be nice but at £30 I'm not complaining) then press 'select'; thats it!
The sound quality from it's mono speaker is quite acceptable and suits speach very well and the bass is fine for a kitchen/ bathroom etc. The right...
