...What can I say but superb. I first heard a Bose system in a Hi Fi shop in Cambridge and the demo blew me away. Admittedly it was not the wave music system but the acoustimass but I knew straight away I was going to be hooked on Bose. I have a Bose concert system installed in my Audi A4 and this is phenomenal but another story. The Bose Wave music system is a small unit only 106mm high, 368mm wide and 219mm deep and weighs in at 3.9kg. It comes in platinum or graphite grey. A credit card sized remote is supplied and functions well although some may find the buttons fiddly but you can get a full sized remote if you need one that is backlit, mine was supplied with this as an offer but I have never needed to use it. The unit itself is as simple as it gets to use, just plug in and play from the word go. No messing about with speaker... Read review

...of the speakers, fade etc. I then played the last song on the Eagles album ‘Hell Freezes Over’. This song was written and performed for this 5.1 DTS system. Each voice can be heard uniquely in each of the 5 speakers. There is no bleeding (i.e. background noise, or noise from another speaker channel). Superb!! Also you have the option of adding ‘zones’ onto the system, so you could have speakers outside, controlled by the one remote, and the signal is relayed back to the Lifestyle system. The remote control is a little big, but easy to use. You can change the system to run off 2, 3 or 5 speakers. All the usual controls. You do have the option of several types of Bose speakers that are compatible with the Lifestyle 35. ...As a regular flyer, who finds the cabin noise intrusive, and is unable to hear the movies/music when using the airline headphones, I decided to take the plunge and buy the Bose Quietcomfort 3 headphones. I have to say though, not without a good deal of consideration, as these are very expensive headphones. However, now that I have them, what an amazing difference they do make. Noise reduction is suberb. When I put them on, it sounds like I have closed the window on a noisy street. Engine noise and crying babies disappear in an instant! They can of course be used for noise reduction alone, if so desired, although I connect them to my IPod. The sound reproduction is excellent. All the songs from my IPod are crisp and clear. Docking the ipod is also a bit of a fiddle too, it feels a bit loose which makes you think it isn't docked properly. when you switch it on the remote works fine but the buttons don't always activate it first time. My biggest gripe however is.... the sound quality.... poor, total disappointment. Obviously you are playing mp3's and mp4's so they aren't the highest quality tracks, but the Bose shaped speakers just don't seem to have the usual Bose ooompff you would even get from a Bose radio. Since buying the system it has had minimal use because of this, it was bought to use in the office but we have gone back to using our stereo system or playing mp3's via our computer speakers. This may just be a dud unit I've ended up with but other people I know who have bought the Bose Dock don't seem particularly blown away by it either.... Read review

...Anything made by BOSE can be trusted. Its sound quality is always at its best, no matter what soundsystem you use from bose, and it's true... you get what you pay for. Jus plug it in and press "ON" and you're set up! IT'S THAT EASY! bose is a big brang name, and everyone expects the best from, and how right they are. The sounddocks simplistic design brings out the best of your mp3 player, making it the whole music experience that much better. For (at most) £300, you are getting exactly what you pay for AND more! The bose soundock has an inate wonder within itself, which brings you to appreciate the minor details embedded into whatever track you are listening to. ...I did not expect this level of sound quality from such a small speaker! The Bose SoundDock is a small, compact speaker system for the Ipod range. It has great looks, amzing sound quality and suprising power! There are two different sound docks.. the first one was basically a plug in speaker system just for use with the ipod, perfectly good for anyone who is looking for amazing quality. This one costs £199. The second one they bought out, which i have also got, is the same system apart from it has few extra features. It has a rechargable battery so you can listen to it on the move, it has a carry handle built into the back for ease of transportation, the dock is on a rotating platfrom so it can be made to fit flush to the dock and then open at a touch and then most importantly it has a 3.5mm Aux input that now the user is not limited...
