...Act of Faith by Erica James The story begins with Ali visiting the cemetery where her son is buried and there she bumps into Elliot her former husband and you begin to feel the emotional tension between them As the story develops you find out more about how their son died and why their marriage broke up. This is one element of the story. Intermixed with this is the relationship between Ali and her school friend Sarah who is in a very strange marriage to Trevor, a rather pious Christian man. He wears his Christianity like a proud badge but is a rather petty dominating husband and old fashioned disciplinarian father. Trevor and Ali do not get along at all but Ali as Sarah?s best friend is godmother to Trevor and Sarah?s daughter, Hannah and this relationship mix provides another element to the story of Ali and Elliot and their problems...

Get in on the Act

Advantages: Excellent structure, raises interesting issues, isn't afraid to be complex
Disadvantages: Some of the similes were a little off-kilter for me

Prior Bad Acts is a fast paced thriller involving the police department, Kovac and Liska, the advocate?s bench Chris Logan and Kenny Scott and the judge Carey Moore. The police partnership of Kovac and Liska can be traced back to Hoag?s previous books originally forming in her 1999 novel Ashes to Ashes. However despite the working relationship having developed over the novels, there is no romance to watch out for (yet) between these two cops. ...These are the best films ever. They have a sound track each and you jsut want to get up and sing and dance. Sister Act 1 Sister Act is about a Reno lounge singer named Deloris Van Carter who witnesses her mobster boyfriend killing an employer. She is then hidden in a convent under a witness protection program. She soon makes friends with the nuns especially Sister Mary Robert, Sister Mary Lazuras and Sister Mary Patrick. After the Mother Superior catches Deloris going out to a bar in the night time followed by Mary Robert and Mary Patrick she orders her to join the church choir. Only to find her coaching the choir and turning them into swingin' singin' sisters. The choir proves to be a big success with the surrounding neighborhood, but will Deloris' boyfriend track her down... Songs in the film are a great Melody...

The newly talented choir attracts great attention for the church, which is slightly concerning for the Reverend Mother as sister Mary Clarence is supposed to be in witness protection. This film had me laughing from start to finish. Whoopi Goldberg is fantastic in this part. It's well worth watching and the second sister act is just as good....

Acting 1 - Script 0

Advantages: It takes the p*** out of Americans who can't write films
Disadvantages: I really could have been better

...So yet again I have to correct a couple of small yet important flaws in people's review writing. Churchill - The Hollywood Years is not a side-splittingly funny film and it does have elements of John Cleese in Clockwise only without John Cleese, but it does have one thing going for it. The character acting is brilliant. To run through the story to make sure we are all absolutely clear on it is: Churchill was really an American GI and the Churchill we know was a character actor called Ray Bubbles. Churchill goes on to win the war single handedly and at no expense to life, limb or liberty of anyone he encounters. He falls in love with Queen Elizabeth (Princess at the time) and George VI is unwittingly made to see Hitler without knowing who he is. We can clearly see that this is a p***-take and not another film like U-571. I...
