Well as you may know X men 3: The last stand is already out in cinemas this summer but if you're thinking you missed the first 2. Well buy this great DVD and if you want buy X men 2 as well to fulfill what you've missed out on. A great action and adventure film based on the long-running Marvel comic book series; X-MEN which takes place in the near future, as certain humans are evolving into mutants with magnificent powers.
It's a rare comic-book movie that doesn't fall over its cape introducing all the characters, and this is the exception. X-Men drops us into a new world that is closer to our own than Batman's Gotham City, but it's still home to super-powered goodies and baddies. i can assure you that its better than your everage superman, Batman or other comic movies...

3 x Adventure with Indy
Review of Indiana Jones - The Adventures Of Indiana Jones (Box Set) by
kiss_me2070
Advantages: Action, Adventure, Humour,
Disadvantages: Violent at times,
...but unfortunately lost. Sean Connery received a Golden Globe nomination.
***OPINION***
This is one of my favourite films, there is a lot of humour with Sean Connery and Harrison Ford acting together and throughout the film I was laughing, gasping and smiling. Definitely my top Indiana Jones film for action and adventure and my favourite part is when we see Indiana as a child running away and ending up in a circus train, which is how we come to lean about his fear of snakes! An addictive film, and I was sad to learn it was the last one (until the release of this year's Indiana Jones film!)

***BONUS MATERIAL***
One-of-a-kind, treasure chest of bonus material. Enjoy over 3 hours of all-new documentaries created exclusively for the DVD collection and supervised by the series' acclaimed film makes, Steven...

X-Tremely good!
Review of The X-Files Game (PC) by
mmclcukie
Advantages: Great "video" graphics.
Disadvantages: Possibly too challenging for some.
...The X-Files is a great adventure/puzzle PC CD availiable now, the game in itself is action packed with lots of guns, evidence files, and everything which you’d expect to be bundled up in the life of an FBI agent. The Storyline – Mulder and Scully have been kidnapped in a old warehouse, you play an FBI agent called Willmore have to progress through this action packed game solving mysteries as such as cracking passwords and codes on computers etc…
The game is a video all the way through – the graphics being faultless and the only way I could describe it is as a DVD where you decide where to go and what to do – also affecting the way the story unfolds.
With all of these videos all the way through, a pretty nippy CD drive will come in handy, you’ll also need a fair deal of RAM and Hard Disk space – So I’d recommend a high specification PC...

Action, adventure and a canine comic.
Review of Dark Rivers of the Heart - Dean Koontz by
frizzball
Advantages: Great action
Disadvantages: Could make you paranoid
...novels and one of the reasons I kept buying them was his ability to keep the ‘space fillers’ to a minimum, in this I mean the descriptions of people and places that I would prefer not to drag on for several pages. Koontz gives just enough to create atmosphere and mood, but doesn’t go overboard. This applies to 'Dark Rivers of the Heart', he drags you into the adventure and gets you loving every terrifying minute of it.
Well, enough of my rambling. I bought this book as part of a book club offer a few years ago, but you can get it at Amazon from as little as £2.50.
Thankyou for reading. Louise. x...

After ten years, Sonic needs no introduction
Review of Sonic Adventure 2 (DC) by
a_leeming
Advantages: errr... well its sonic
Disadvantages: ...
...Introduction
After mediocre outings on some of Sega’s failures during the mid-90s (Saturn, Sega CD, 32X), the Sonic Team took on the task of revitalizing the Sonic franchise and bringing it back to its former glory of the Genesis days. Once a rival to the all-time video game greats like Mario and Link, everyone’s favorite hedgehog had dropped under the radar of mainstream gaming consciousness. With the launch of their new console, the Dreamcast, Sega unleashed a brand spanking new Sonic for the next generation. While Sonic Adventure was revolutionary in its unbelievable sense of speed and thrilling action, the game had glaring flaws, and many gameplay elements were quite poorly constructed. With Sonic Adventure 2, Yuji Naka and the Sonic Team set out to correct the wrongs of their first effort. Playing off the feedback...

******************
Like most brothers, Danny and Walter don’t get along and their teenage sister Lisa rarely registers their existence. With their parents recently separated, it can be a lonely world, particularly for Danny, the youngest. When a squabble results in their father having to leave them to return to the office to print some ruined work material out, Danny discovers an old board game in the basement and pleads with his brother to play with him.
Little did he know that by pressing the go button just once, both Danny and Walter...

A fun flight in a plane leads to adventure
Review of The Valley Of Adventure - Enid Blyton by
shorn_the_sheep
Advantages: Adventure, excitement and intrigue
Disadvantages: Can seem a little outdated by today's standards
...I am a huge fan of Enid Blyton books, but out of them all there's none I like better than the "Adventure" series of books featuring 4 children and a parrot.
Unlike the Secret Seven and Famous Five series, I've always thought of the Adventure series as being more "grown up." For a start, it doesn't feature jolly adventures in caravans, and there's no meeting up with loveable gipsies who help the children out in their time of need.
Instead the adventures are darker, and more dangerous, with the children often finding themselves in life-threatening positions and facing seemingly inescapable dilemmas.
THE PLOT:
In the Valley of Adventure the four children - Jack, Lucy-Ann, Philip and Dinah, and Kiki the parrot stumble upon an adventure when they try to go for a night flight with a friend of their mother's. Unfortunately for them...

The X-traordinarily X-treme X-Men X-perience
Review of X-Men: The Last Stand OST - John Powell by
berlioz
Advantages: A great powerhouse of a score to reckon with
Disadvantages: Incohesive action music not the best way to go about
...to problems with the scoring process (uncontentedness from the studio that is), Kamen was forced to write the score almost completely anew, which resulted in a very atmospheric and low score that made for a pretty uninteresting listen overall. Most unfortunate was that this didn't give the film much of a strong thematic anchor and indeed X-Men was strangely devoid of a proper "superhero" theme (even though the entire film was running wild with one superhero after another). A slight correction came when John Ottman was hired for X2: X-Men United. For the sequel Ottman completely distanced himself from the previous score and wrote an admittedly very good theme for the heroes. The problem was that Ottman decided to underuse the theme to a significant proportion, rather opting to write some much less than interesting action music that in no way lived...

A Big Red Adventure in Russia
Review of Big Red Adventure (PC) by
Davius
Advantages: Good sound and graphics with an attention-grabbing story.
Disadvantages: Not the best adventure, and is becoming dated.
..., with the general adventure game actions such as pick up, open, examine and talk as well as an inventory where the main items are stored. Sometimes it is possible to combine items from the inventory in an attempt to create a new item. However, the game can become quite difficult at times as there are points where it may not quite be clear what you have to do next, or which items should be used/combined with something else!
When it was first released, it was seen as a very detailed game that made excellent use of its high resolution graphics, and it boasted over 100 locations to visit, and over 50 people to talk to. Although this is not the best adventure game (it does not beat games such as the King's/Space Quests, Monkey Island or Simon the Sorcerer) it is still quite enjoyable and is a decent point-and-click adventure. It is certainly worth looking...

Sonic Adventure 2, Level Extrordinaire
Review of Sonic Adventure 2 (DC) by
DBZKing
Advantages: good game | its on other consoles | it has sonic and the guys
Disadvantages: it is not as good as the original's | its not adventurous like the first Sonic Adventure
...this by completing the level when you have to race in the karts. Also you can do regular 1 player, by doing the levels to complete the game.
In 2 player, you can do kart racing, once it is unlocked, or you can do Action Race, which is you racing your friend to get to the emblem coin. You can also do Treasure Hunting, which you have to find the 3 parts of the mega crystal. Or you can do Action Battle, which is other words; destroy the hell out of your enemy.
This is a good game; it is for the Dream Cast, which I own, as you will know by reading my review on the Dream Cast. I loved this game, it has many different functions, and easy controls which is very, very good. I hope if you own this game, you will like it also. I must admit that it is not the best Sonic game that has been made; it’s sort of like the first Sonic Adventure, without...
