...I found this gym suitable from birth onwards, as advertised by the makers. When my baby was small, he loved looking at the black and white patterned arches. As he grew, he looked at the mobiles and tried to grab and kick them. As he grew, the gym still holds fascination for him. Aged nearly nine months, he enjoys dismantling it and he studies it intently. When he is older, the gym converts to a tunnel which will give him more pleasure. Therefore it is a gym with longlasting appeal. The only negative aspect of the gym is when he started to roll, the red plastic bases were hard for him to roll onto, and would prevent him rolling over. ...This Little Tikes Activity Gym is great for young children and creates a fun environment which is also safe. The activity gym comes in a large box which contained all the parts. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. Looking at the gym all you needed to do is slot in the pieces. This was true as the pieces did have to be slotted together but getting them together was the hard bit. You need someone strong who can force the sections together but at least the instructions are easy to follow so you don't go wrong (imagine having to undo it and reassemble it!). The activity gym is brightly coloured meaning more fun for the children. Be warned that the colours do not remotely blend in with any surroundings so don't be alarmed when you have this bright coloured object in the middle of your garden. The slide is quite short which... ...I bought this gym from Mothercare when the twins were a month old. Although it was quite pricey at 40 pounds, Thomas and Naomi definatly got my moneys worth!!! ...My friend had a new baby last year so she saw this and thought it looked good.This play gym is suitable to use from birth upwards, it has loads of activities, different types of materials,velvety to the touch ,it has rattles and it also has a Tigger that hangs with his tail down to where you put your baby in the centre of a hollow material covered ring so that when your baby reaches Tigger his tummy squeakes.There is a bright yellow beehive that has a mirror on it so baby can see his reflection.There are also crinkley leaves and loads of bright colours. ...As part of one of the leisure activities we under take at University, a group of friends and I decided to join a local gym. We got free membership for a year so that wasn’t too bad. But, guess what we hadn’t been to one before. It’s not that we are fat are anything like that but because we thought it would be embarrassing going into a gym and doing exercise. And the people there would be a lot fitter than us. Being conscience of what we wore, we went to the sports shop and got all the gear. Trainers, tracksuit bottoms, T-shirts, having the right clothes wouldn’t make us feel out of place. So, we went about 6pm to the gym. We slowly walked in to see all the latest gyms with people from all ages and sizes pumping away. Since, we were new members a trained instructor came to advise us what equipment to use... Advantages: Great for teaching babies to sit up, easy to keep clean

...plastic rods that fit into cloth covers. The pictures on the box make it look as if this is a modern style spring-loaded fabric gym (like the Gymini or Activity Arch), but it's not. It's hard to set up, and the rods are prone to popping out at inconvenient moments. It's not strong enough for your baby to pull themselves up on. I found that my daughter had lost interest in baby gyms by the time she was learning to sit up, so two separate products would have worked better. The nest itself is perfectly useful for about two months; between the point where your baby starts sitting up, but can't quite manage it, and the point where they begin to crawl. It allows them to fall over softly, over and over and over again. No tears, just a vague puzzled expression. I found that once my first child could crawl, she became frustrated by the nest because... The activity gym as shown in the picture is made up of four side panels, each with holes in for the child to climb through. There is a small bright pink slide and a blue floor, which the children can go under or climb on to go down the slide. As we unpacked the activity gym it looked relatively simple to assemble, as it was really just a case of slotting the panels together but don’t be fooled!
