...This mat was given to me as a present and on first impression I thought it was gorgeous. It has a plush fleece padded mat with an annoying tune mechanism in the lambs head (it plays you are my sunshine which does get to you after a while!). It is not that easy to put together as the arches are extremely springy and you have to try and hold it together while clicking the clips into place and threading the very large buttons into the not so large holes! I've found the toys to be a bit on the large side and all a bit samey for my son. They all make a noise but about three of them rattle or have a chime which is not terribly exciting. The duck does have a quacking sound but they were too high up for my son to reach and wiggle them. It would be more useful if ELC supplied a few extra links.... Read review

...i bought one of these for my son when he was first born but he didnt really get into it till about 3-4 months and when he did he loved it The side-to-side flip blanket provides age-appropriate, self activated fun and fascination for facilitating baby's development. The instant feedback when she activates the touch pad will encourage her to increase her tummy-time and lift her head, strengthening her arms, neck and shoulders, as well as further developing her motor and cognitive skills. this gym hearing with the 10 minutes of relaxing classical pieces by Mozart, and a variety of well-loved nursery tunes, as well as the other sounds found on the mat and toys. ...but the logic3 dance mat does not so you have to be careful not to lose your balance and fall off. The logic3 dance mat is black in colour with 8 pads which come in four colours there are 2 red,two purple,two green and two blue pads. When you step on the pads correctly they light up with red lights around the edge of each pad which makes it great fun for the kids as they think they are at a disco. The dance mate is a large square which is a metre wide by a metre long there is two small black buttons at the top of the mat near the cable one that says select and one that says start. This dance mat although designed for the playstation 2 can be used on the playstation 1 also. This dance mat is a great way for exercise for those mums who cant get to the gym. ...My friend had a new baby last year so she saw this and thought it looked good.This play gym is suitable to use from birth upwards, it has loads of activities, different types of materials,velvety to the touch ,it has rattles and it also has a Tigger that hangs with his tail down to where you put your baby in the centre of a hollow material covered ring so that when your baby reaches Tigger his tummy squeakes.There is a bright yellow beehive that has a mirror on it so baby can see his reflection.There are also crinkley leaves and loads of bright colours. ...Reason owned........ This was kindly given to me as a gift for my son in Spring 2006. You can buy them from kiddicare.com for £44.99. The mat is square and is 1 metre square. It is made of 100% polyester. Positive points....... I really like the way that the arches clip together with a central popper and that it folds so that it can be stored flat behind or under a sofa, meaning that it doesn't clutter up the floor spaces. There are various toys that come as part of this play gym including a mirror and various animals. Extra toys can be purchased from the intial retailer or anywhere which stocks this item. The toys (animals, mirrors and horn) dangle from clips that attach to the arches which have holes along them - the toys can be moved to different points so that baby's hands can reach and feet can kick at the toys... ...We purchased this product as our 5 month old son was getting board with his activity mat. As he seems to be constantly moving and kicking his legs about this seemed like the perfect purchase. We lie our son on his changing mat under the arch and let him kick away at the dangly items! The centre can be changed to allow an older child who can sit up and play with it, the balls which are on the moving circle are detachable and when the arch is pushed back the balls can then come down the chanels at either side. There is two volumes, so if you are feeling a little delicate and not wanting loud chirpy music blasting out then it is easily remedied! A worthwhile purchase for a kick happy baby!... Read review

...Fisher price sparkling symphony gym Imagine this a 3-4 month old baby lying on a mat on the floor, a happy baby lots of smiles and gurgles. Erected over him is the fisherprice sparkling symphony gym. The gym is brightly coloured, He kicks out at a dangling moon and sun, they move and music plays he stops to listen and then his arm bats at the star and he gurgles happily when it moves and plays Beethoven. He is excited now both arms bat out at the danglers and Sparkling sound effects are played he chuckles with delight and hits it again and again watching the movement of the dangling moon, sun, and stars. ...I decided to get an activity mat when my little boy became more interested in his surroundings and wanted more stimulation. I'd heard good things about the Tiny Love range and settled for the Lights & Music Gym as it had all the things I wanted. I had a look around for prices online and the average new is around £44.99 (not inc. p&p) from stockists such as Mothercare. I thought that was a little expensive and had a look on eBay, where I found several exact same gyms, and loads more similar ones by Tiny Love. After a couple of losing bids I secured myself a second-hand gym for £15 inc. p&p. I think the average price was around £18-20, which is very reasonable. The gym itself is fantastic. There are so many things to keep my little one amused. Several dangling toy animals that shake, rattle and roll. A mirror, lots of touchy feely areas... Read review

..., get some breakfast and a brew without her so much as making a peep. I've found that she loves being on her mat more than any of her other toys. Infact she is on it right now laughing away to herself! I have seen these in Mothercare now for £35 and I think this is money well spent as you will get loads of use out of it and it is well built enough to last through a good few children! On the two arches that cross over the top of the mat there are lots of holes where you can attatch other toys, if like me u have lots of other gyms you can just add the toys off these to the mat or you can buy extra connector rings from Mothecare and attatch other toys to them. If you buy one toy for your baby I would recommend this be the one!... Read review

...Letts Literacy – KS1 10 Minute tests are a GREAT way to get kids to focus on a task at hand. The range of skills tested covers everything from letter patterns to punctuation. Conjunctions, Rhyming and Antonyms are also covered. Each test has a score card – “testometer” which the child can colour in to gain a sense of achievement. Personally, I think these are a great way to both test the current level of understanding as well as ensuring that the child really understands the concept. Best of all, there are others to cover the compelte cirriculum.... Read review
