Cheap RAID card is perfect! (but slow)
Advantages: online capacity expansion, deals with hard disc problems better
Disadvantages: slow compared to software RAID
...recommend upgrading to current firmware and 2.16 storcon utl (both are on www.intel.com. There is a linux version of the 2.16 storcon, but it was hard to find!)
With initial installation on a Gigabyte GA7 motherboard and Adaptec 2940AU SCSI controller, the problems with onboard intel BIOS / adaptec 2940AU and mobo BIOS reared it's ugly head.
I could not for the life of me with all the PCI juggling, IRQ remapping and BIOS remapping options get it to boot with a Adaptec SCSI card and Intel RAID card. I asked a friend about his setup, and he had no problems (he was running a Intel serverboard with his SRCS14L)
My problem was solved by removing SCSI from system completely and migrating to IDE bootup drives (which was such a pain on linux!)
Current drivers are 2.05 which are included since the 2.4.19 kernel.
As with all RAID controllers...

Raid Fly & Wasp Killer
Advantages: Gets rid of flies
Disadvantages: The smell
...We have recently done quite extensive work on our home and have knocked a wall down to make the kitchen and conservatory one large room. As it gets quite hot in the summer, we leave the conservatory door open and the only real problem we have found with doing this is the amount of flies we have circulating around the conservatory as I presume they can smell the food cooking now it is all one big room.
We decided to get some fly spray to try and combat the problem. I hadn?t a particular brand in mind when purchasing and went for the Raid Fly and Wasp killer. There was no particular reason I went for this one, it just happened to be the one that stood out on the shelves when I was out shopping.
The spray comes in a metal canister similar to that of a hairspray. The canister size is 300ml and the can is quite generally a blue colour...

Raid and You are Dead Flies
Advantages: works fast
Disadvantages: smell
...We went on holiday to Wales a year ago and the place was lovely but the downside was that here were so many flies as soon as we entered the self catering cottage that we were overwhelmed with them and they started to make the holiday unpleasant.
We bought a tin can of Raid Fly and Wasp Killer from the supermarket for £1.70 for a 300ml can. It is designed for killing all flying bugs inlcuding wasps, flies, mosquitoes etc. We had got desperate the day before and my other half had spent half the night trying to swat them but she missed most of them and just got worn out and angry.
This Raid stuff is very easy to use. Shake thecan vigorously beforehand to disperse the contents then spray into the room. Close all the doors and windows afterwards and stay out of the room for around ten to fifteen minutes to let it take effect...
