The Perfect Wireless Adapter For Me
Review of Linksys Wireless-G USB Adapter WUSB54GR with RangeBooster by
burns2007
Advantages: Installation, Size, Reliable
Disadvantages: None
...Introduction
*************
I had this wireless adapter bought me at Christmas to go with my wireless router which I have already reviewed. The idea in mind was to set it up on another computer in another room so that I could go on the internet with no need for cables to be trailing any where.
Installation
************
The installation is very simple and quick. The wireless adapter is connected to the computer through a USB (Universal Serial Bus) cable with one end going from the adapter and the other into the back of the computer into a USB port. One of the best things about this adapter is that power adapter is not needed because the adapter can get its power through the USB cable.
When the computer has loaded the adapter will have been detected. Using the CD that came with the adapter insert it into the CD-ROM and wait...

Britain's Bloodiest Serial Killers
Review of Britain's Bloodiest Serial Killers DVD by
kimhumphreys
Advantages: Incredible insight into serial killers
Disadvantages: Freaked me out a bit!
...Now, without sounding too much of a "freak" I have a secret passion for serial killers, British or otherwise, it amazes me how someones mind can work in justifying these terrible crimes.
This DVD, which I bought myself a little while ago, is priced at approx. £13, and if you are into crimes, especially murders, I would say you would not regret paying it to watch this.
Let's start with the packaging, with a title like "Britain's Bloodiest Serial Killers," you would expect it to be a bit graphic. The front of the DVD box also reflects that, being covered in blood, with a gun, syring, rope and a meat cleaver. Now, personally, I prefer a bit of blood, the more gruesome, the better! (I'm not really a secret murderer I promise!)
It was released on the 7th June 2006, and I was surprised because before seeing this on the website I...

Affordable wireless adapter.
Review of Belkin Wireless G USB Network Adapter Network adapter by
DragonflyWales
Advantages: Wireless connectivity - Supplied with stand - Fast data transfer - Good Price
Disadvantages: Temperamental Software, Stand Falls Over - Installation hit & miss
...I currently have 3 of these adapters installed at my home connecting 3 PC's wirelessly to a BT Voyager2500V Router.
I purchased the first one after suffering months of problems with an intermittent broadband connection using an extension cable.
The adapter comes well packaged in a far larger box than is necessary (minus points for environmental responsibility) and is supplied complete with software drivers, software to manage the wireless network, a desktop stand for the adapter and an instruction sheet.
1st impressions were that the build quality is adequate although with the adapter being very light the stand could definitely have done with being heavier.
I have never installed a network before but the installation sheet made all seem very straightforward.
1. Install Software.
2. Plug in adapter when prompted.
3. Away...

BELKIN USB Adapter (10M)- Connect PC to Phone
Review of Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter by
ky_9988
Advantages: Small, Sleek, Connects to Phones, Good Coverage, Slim, fast, easy install
Disadvantages: Cap can get lost as it is quite small
...I have had this little product for about 4 Months now and I can say it is a wonderful little thing.
The model I have is the:
Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter * Class 2; v1.2 10m
This model is currently available for £8.99 on amazon (£3 cheaper than what I paid for it) and I can say it is the best thing I have bought.
The reason why I bought this adapter was to connect my phone to my laptop and PC.
<<*What it Does*>>
This small and sleek adapter enables you to connect 2 or more bluetooth devices to each other wirelessly. This includes devices such as Mobile Phones and PDA's.
I have connected both my Samsung D500 and Sony Ericsson W800i to my Laptop all at the same time. The coverage distance for this particular device is 10 metres therefore it makes it easy to pick up the bluetooth signals easily, although a much...

Colour Adapt
Review of Max Factor Colour Adapt Skin Tone Adapting Make-Up by
jooleee
Advantages: Natural looking, smooth even coverage, feels nice
Disadvantages: Makes fine lines more obvious
...Max Factor Colour Adapt foundation was the first skin tone adapting makeup on the market, and is probably still the best known. You can get it from beauty retailers, as well as some chemists and online for around £11 - £12. It comes in 9 shades, from 'creamy ivory' and 'warm almond' right through to 'toffee' and 'soft sable'.
The foundation contains Colour Adapt Particles which adapt to your individual skin tones to give a flawless but perfectly natural looking base. It's supposed to even out your skin tone without masking it and blend away imperfections. It's also oil-free so suitable even for oily skin types.
It comes in a 34ml bottle with pump action dispenser and a pull-off lid. The lid fastens really tightly so it would be fine in a make-up bag. The pump-action dispenser is good in some ways but not in others. It's good...

belkin wireless adapter
Review of Belkin Wireless High Speed Mode USB Adapter Network adapter by
techno_man_37
Advantages: works great most of the time
Disadvantages: none, except for the first few months for me.
...This little wireless adapter is designed to plug right into laptop of pc’s usb ports so that it enables them to be wireless and therefore can pick up a signal from a network.
This can plug into your pc or laptop 2 different ways, firstly it can plug in much like a usb memory stick and just the stick itself can go straight into a usb port on your laptop or pc. The second way is to plug the holder into the pc of laptops usb port, this holder conveniently holds the wireless stick in place and has a wire leading out which can plug into the usb ports.
This lead can go about a meter so is handy if you need to position it somewhere else on your desktop, also it looks quite good in its little holster and doesn’t look out of place.
I bought this one a while ago from comet for I think around £20, I bought it mainly because...

Adapting To The Internet
Review of Belkin Wireless 125Mbps G+ USB Adapter by
Reposter78
Advantages: A Great Starter Pack
Disadvantages: Its A Wireless Product That Has Wires
...the adapter in. The PC must also have Windows 2000 or XP (including home edition). Been as how most systems have this, I doubt it would be a problem for many, if not all.
Specifications
Interface: USB 1.0, 1.1 and 2.0
Network Standards: IEEE802.11g, IEEE802.11b
Security: WPA, WPA2 64-bit, 128-WEP encryption
Operating Range: Up to 300ft/100m
Even though the product is capable of transferring data up to 125Mbps using the 2.4 GHz band, I have yet to see it reach that speed. This is because I am picking up somebody else's Wireless from quite a way away. If you had your own Wireless Connection then these speeds should easily be reached depending on the actual speed of your Wireless Connection.
My Overall Opinion
I guess the question I should be asking myself is, 'Was the risk worth taking?' it was indeed as I can now surf...

Useful Blutooth Adapter
Review of Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter by
Surj1
Advantages: For Blutooth Enabled Devices, 100m Range, Plug & Play
Disadvantages: None
...The Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter is very useful technology which you simply plug into your USB slot. I actually got this about 2 years ago because I wanted to transfer photos and videos from my mobile phone to my PC and I didn't have a mobile phone cable to connect to the PC. So this was ideal rather than purchasing a cable which would have cost the same, but with this I can use it for other Bluetooth enabled devices such as my PDA or Laptop.
Main features:
- Bluetooth connection capability via USB
- Works with any device which is Bluetooth enabled
- Has built in security using 128-bit encryption and authentication, allowing you to securely access any Bluetooth device without wires
- Easy installation with Plug-and-Play convenience
- Allows you to connect at a range of up to 100 meters
The Bluetooth adapter is well...

Olympus 55mm adapter.
Review of Olympus CLA 4 - lens adapter by
kirkby100
Advantages: Light. Compact. Durable.
Disadvantages: None found.
...The CLA-4 is a simple adapter ring which allows optional telephoto, wide-angle and macro conversion lenses to be attached to the camera, plus filters with a 55mm thread.
I use the CLA-4 lens adapter, with my Olympus SP500-UZ camera, to fit the TCON-17 and WCON-07 lenses. The diameter on my camera thread is only 45.6mm, with the CLA-4 however this is stepped up to a standard diameter of 55mm, allowing the lenses to be attached securely to the camera. in addition I use a number 55mm filters including polarisers and NDs with great results.
The CLA-4 can also be used with other Olympus models including:
C-700 UZ
C-720 UZ
C-730 UZ
I have been using the CLA-4 with my Olympus digital camera for around a year now and have found no faults to date. I usually keep the adapter screwed in at all times and use a 55mm lens cap...

Linksys Wireless-B Media Adapter WMA11B
Review of Linksys Wireless-B Media Adapter WMA11B by
matt_fantastic
Advantages: Access all yoru photos & music on your TV / stereo via WiFi !
Disadvantages: Can be a bit temperamental, won't play movies
...I bought the Linksys Wireless-B Media Adapter to allow me to play digital music and pictures stored on my computer to my TV/Stereo in the living room, without running cables through the house.
The WMA11B box contains a setup CD; an AC adapter; Ethernet, RCA, and S-Video cables, and a remote control (including batteries), plus, of course, the WMA11B itself, whose vertical profile and compact size (50mm wide x 152mm deep x 177mm tall) make it easy to tuck into a small space. A set of LEDs on its front show power, network connectivity and activity.
The WMA11B can connect to your network either by 802.11b WiFi - 11mbps rather the 54mbps .11g standard - or by standard 10/100 ethernet cabling. Mine is connected to my WiFi network using MAC address filtering and WEP encryption, but it does not support the more advanced WPA encryption...
