The perfect short story

Advantages: Short, compelling, powerful
Disadvantages: It's not a novel

...I've come across this paperback when I was sorting out my books to keep or sell on or give away. Having read it a couple of times, I decided to read it again and write a review. 50 pages and about half an hour later I turned the last pages of this exceptional tale that was first published 75 years ago, in 1938. A short story that has never lost its remarkable edge and remained the one and only fictional correspondance that despite its tiny length has had enormous repurcussions long after it was written. About the author Kressman Taylor is the pseudonym of American author Kathrine Taylor (born Kathrine Kressmann in 1903, Portland, Oregon) who married Elliot Taylor, the owner of an advertising agency in San Francisco where she worked as a copywriter.   Socializing Just Got Better

Advantages: New interesting features, Easy to use, quite secure
Disadvantages: Strangers tend to add you to their friends list without your permission

...about friends, there is also an option on your profile which lets you chose top 16 friends. These will be the friends that are going to be displayed on your profile so you better chose them careful. You can change them anytime you want so don't let me scare you lol. You can also chose top 100 whom will be shown on your mail compose page and they are the ones you can see changes of their profiles etc. When you want to add a friend you can either send them your URL, go onto your profile page just under your top 16 friends there is an option of putting someone's e-mail address so that they can be invited. On your home page there is also the same option were you just put someone's e-mail address and they will be sent an invitation by bebo. There is a new feature on friends called "friends stories". ...What is Bebo???? Social networking sites have been the internet buzz for a while now. You will no doubt have heard of the popular Myspace network, and others like 'Wayne' and Ringo where users get to make new friends, get in touch with old friends and generally hang out and talk about whatever. Bebo is the next generation of social networking sites. I believe Bebo.com to be one of the best sites for social networking, even better than Myspace.com. Once registered members can stay in touch with their college and school friends, connect with friends from other sites such as MSN, share photos that you have uploaded onto the site, and discover new friends and new interests.   You never know who is lurking from your past!

Advantages: Easy to use, easy to maintain

...to and who with, you know when all those suspicions as a pupil were actually true all along? Scary but true. If you are not a member of Myspace (where have you been) and are wanting something easy to use, easy to find your friends on and easy to maintain then try Bebo. So what do you do to register? Well you do have to be over 13 years old for a start and you do need to have an email address. Then you simply go to www.bebo.com and click on ?register? and fill out all of the appropriate details such as name, username, gender, date of birth, country etc? read the terms and agreement and voila that was the registration part. Once you have confirmed your e-mail address you are free to start using your own Bebo space. Now initially when I signed up for Bebo I did find the whole thing rather weird, the homepage does look very amateurish...

Bebo: the social networking site

Advantages: loads of features good safety/privacy easy to use massive, ever growing community
Disadvantages: decreased photo/video quality in profiles

...and sent comments/mail to friends. In the photos side of things, you can have as many albums as you like. Each album is limited to a maximum of 48 photos. Only your top 12 albums will be shown on your immediate page. The only downside to the photos is that Bebo now automatically lowers the file size of your photos to x kb. This allows for faster uploading but far worse quality at the same time. Videos Videos are shown in the "Video Box" on your page. Videos can be uploaded in 2 ways; A URL (web address) from Youtube, or from your computer/camera/phone etc. Recently a new feature has been added to Bebo which allows you to edit your videos which have been uploaded from personal means. Like the photo albums, you can choose your top videos in order. All of the videos will be in the "video box" but only the top 3 will be shown immediately...

This is usually where you get loads of random people adding you because they've just clicked on the top box which select/deselects all the friends underneath ... it's a good feature because people who you chat to may not know you have bebo and your be able to have a look at their page unless it's private. Finally, the other way of finding friends on bebo is by searching. This feature allows you to type in the first name/surname/full name/address of the person you are trying to find, and it will tell you if they have bebo or not and you are able to add them through there. ...I love argos and have shopped with them for many years. Its handy to order over the internet without having to leave the comfort of your own home. Order over £125 and get free delivery and if you have an argos card spend over £195 and you can have 6 months interest free. My problem with argos arose recently when we moved house. My husband is in the army and we now have a BFPO address. I spoke to Argos and was told they deliver BFPO, but when trying to place an order via the internet it does not accept this as a postcode. I then tried to place the order over the phone, same problem. An extremely rude lady at argos direct then imformed me they don't deliver to BFPO addresses.
