Get stuck into some decorating!

Advantages: Great adhesion, easy to mix, great range
Disadvantages: Need to keep away from children and pets

...I quite enjoy a bit of DIY and one of the things I like to do is hang wallpaper - it is great way to get a new finish to a room and the results don't take too long to achieve. I live in a house where the walls are not perfectly finished so wallpapering is useful to cover up the odd imperfection. Adhesive mistake

Disadvantages: The disc no longer works and we had problems with the cable

We have now owned the HP Scan Jet 4400c for about 3 years now and it served us well until we bought another computer. The problem occurred very stupidly and was nothing technically wrong ? just adhesively wrong. The disc to install this scanner onto a computer had a paper casing which had been glued down. When we installed it into our first computer, we tucked the flap inside and unfortunately the glue stuck to the disc and ruined it. Paste for a job I hate.

Advantages: good bonding
Disadvantages: I hate wallpapering.

But if we do it ourselves (probably will as little cash left) we will use solvite wallpaper paste made by Henkel adhesives.. This paste is available in my favourite store (B&Q) as well as many other D I Y shops. I expect we will use the extra strong all purpose solvite. It comes in a bright yellow bag or box enough for 5, 20 or 30 rolls of wallpaper costing £2.18, £4.48p or £4.98p respectively. Advantages: Does what it says it does.
Disadvantages: None.

Solvite also produce a ready mixed paste, although I do not find this an economical alternative at £11 a tub, and as the mixing is so simple, find that the dry mix is sufficiently easy to use for most enthusiasts. They also make a border adhesive in a tube with a built in brush for ease of use. I use this for borders because if you use ordinary paste, it really is not made for any overlap of vinyl on vinyl and where there is an overlap, the ordinary paste is not sufficient. The tube costs £3.98 and is handy because it also serves at the end of the job to stick any edges that were missed on glueing. All in all, I am satisfied with the product and would not use another now, having already compared products and knowing that solvite does what it is supposed to do....

Fixodent neutral denture fixative

Advantages: tasteless, holds well, cushioning

...THis is a review for fixodent denture cream neutral. This was the sample given to me by my dentist after having an immediate temporary upper denture. I am completely new to dentures and have not used anything like this before. SO how do you use it. Wash and clean denture and dry it. I put small dabs of adhesive in the required places, palate, gum area etc. Then pop denture in mouth, press for a minute and avoid food and drink for 5 mins. This fixative has held for me for over 8 hours. It is tasteless as it is the neutral version which I prefer. I find the flavoured ones off putting as you can be eating food and then get a taste of bland mint, not nice. It also cushions the denture which is important in the early days.
