...I think it's time for another review again! This time on my favorite loyalty card from Boots, The Advantage card. And yes, it really is an advantage. So what is the Advantage card for anyone who doesn't know. The advantage card is a way of collecting points in Boots. For every £1 you spend you gain 4 point of the card. One point is equivalent to 1p. Doesn't sound much but believe me it soon adds up. The points can then be spent on any item around the store with a * on the price tag. There are over 27,000 products to redeem your points on. A lot of mums use the card to buy nappies with, but please note that you can only spend points on Huggies and Boot's own branded nappies. If it's dinnertime, why not treat yourself to a free lunch? Or maybe you wanted to save up a little more and purchase something from the make-up counters...

Advantages: It's worth it, easy to collect points, four points per £1 spent.
Disadvantages: There should be more choice in products you can get with your points.

...The boots advantage card is a loyalty scheme. You get 1 advantage point for every 25p that you spend in boots. To get the advantage card, all you to do is fill in a form with your name and address. To get a form, ask a memeber of staff in boots, and they will give you one. The card is free and will be delivered to your house through the post, when they have received your form. You can get points on most products, apart from medicines and prescriptions. No idea though why you can not earn points on these. Items that have * on the shelf, next to the product, are one's that earn you points on your card. You can see how many points you have on your receipt when you have bought something. There is also a machine in the store, where you put your card in and that will also tell you how mnay points you have on your card as well...

...Boots Advantage Card - You can apply for an advantage card by asking in store, you will get a form you need to fill out and you will get a temporary card which is just a bit of cardboard really, this is just until you receive your permanent card through the post. This can take up to 4 weeks to receive. Please note that you can collect points with temporary card but you can't spend points until you receive your permanent card. The card is just the size of a credit card and is white, it has the blue boots logo on the middle of the card with your name and account number on the left side and on the other side it has advantage card - time to treat yourself wrote on it. On the back of the card it has details on what to do if your card has been lost or stolen. It also has a signature strip which you need to sing and has a gold chip...

...£102 is the amount of money I have on my Boots advantage card. Yes, I'm a bit of a hoarder and a bit of a scrooge! It's taken about 3 years to build up to that amount. Before that I saved up enough points to buy goods from Boots kitchen ware section and an alarm clock. There's a Boots near where I work, so it's easy to shop in there for toiletries and cosmetics. For every £1 you spend in Boots you get 4 advantage card points, this excludes prescription charges, gift vouchers and baby milk. 1 point equals 1 penny that can be spent instore. ...After always being stuck for cash and never knowing where my next mascara or "Meal Deal" was coming from I decided to look into the Boots advantage card scheme. Currently any advantage card holder can claim four points for every one pound they spend. Later these points once accumilated over time can be used to purchase other products in store beit food, cosmetics, shampoo; just make sure you stipulate you wish to pay via your reward card at the till. ...The Boots Advantage Card is a real loyalty card. I think you should get one, now. I base this on the fact that I have had my Boots Advantage Card since the very early days. In fact, my Boots Advantage Card is so old that Moses issued me with it! Joking apart, a member of staff at Boots commented one day on the fact that my Boots Advantage Card was one of the earliest issued. Over the years I have saved a substantial amount of money by using my Boots Advantage Card. At first, due to incredibly stupid and antique rules, Boots could not add Advantage Points to medicines.
