False Advertising?
Advantages: taste nice
Disadvantages: high sugar content, high colourings, high flavourings
...Proctor and Gamble the makers of Sunny Delight advertise it as a healthy alternative to the usual soft drinks which children buy. They claim it has added vitamins and is therefore good for children and depict advertisements showing kids turning down coke etc. in favour of their product.
However this is all a complete sham! Sunny Delight is little more than water with a ridiculously high sugar content which is packed with colourings and flavourings and very little fruit juice at all. It amazes me that they are allowed to advertise their product in this way when it is far less healthy than many fizzy drinks and other fruit juices. Yes it may be 'the great taste kids go for' but at the same time it is liable to leave them with tooth rot and gum disease.
If you care about your kids at all you'd be well advised to steer clear from this...

Is This Advertising Ethical
Advantages: Raises money for an excellent cause
Disadvantages: Unethical? Bad timing prior to watershed
...I'm a firm supporter of the NSPCC, please dont get me wrong but I have got to speak up about the recent advertising campaigns they have been putting out on our TV's, especially one I saw at prime time - with child viewers still watching!
THE CHARITY:
Before going into detail about the adverts, I feel it important that I first provide you with some basic information about the charity itself. The NSPCC (National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children) isa charity geared towards helping and supporting children who are suffering poor surrounding and/or child abuse. It has help lines and allows children to call themselves or for adults to report suspected child abuse. The money also pays for workers to go out and check the cases and find their validity, involving the social services if necessary to have the child removed...

virgin mobiles tv advertisement
Advantages: gained attention from public, mainly youth
Disadvantages: i cant find any disadvantages in this
...I am the user of this virgin mobile.I have found it interesting than other services,i have used many other services and i am having lot of experience regarding this. What exactly made me to show interest on virgin mobile is it's television advertisement. The advertisement they showed in the televisions is very interesting and new.It attracted the attention of most of the youth with its naughty advertisement. The credit goes to the creator of the virgin mobile ad director. The whole package of the advertisements released by the virgin mobile are very very interesting and funny.I love those advertisements.I can surely say that these advertisements are the main key for the success of the virgin mobile service.I give 100marks to the creator's mind....

I like this advertisment of pepsi
Advantages: Funny,good product presentation,long
Disadvantages: -
...Hello, all who don't know, iam a german pupil who wants to get a better english here;).
We all see advertisment in tv every day, in every documentation, every sports event and every movie.
The most advertisments are boring, but there is one advertisment from UK, i saw in a german show which shows the best advertisments arround the world.
I really laughed about this advertisment so i want to write about it, you might know this spot.
THE SPOT
We are in Manchester stadium, David Beckham just flew out of game cause of a red card, he is going to the locker room but on the way to it he see a young boy with a Pepsi in his hand.
After this had game Beckham is thirsty of course and asks the boy if he could have a little bit.
Of course the boy says yet and it seems he is a big fan of Beckham.
Beckham drinks the Pepsi and enjoys it...

The power of advertising!!
Advantages: A good healthy drink
Disadvantages: A bit expensive
...I don't generally think of myself of someone who is swayed by advertising, but I did find myself being drawn towards Actimel after seeing quite a few adverts for it on TV. The adverts centred on a rather cheeky looking young lad being totally embarrassed by his mum who was so full of energy she was almost swinging from the trees!! According to the advert this was because she drank Actimel every day! These adverts appeared about six months after I had had my second daughter and my energy levels were at an all time low! In fact I was falling asleep almost as soon as I had put my children to bed! So I thought - what the heck! I'll give these a try!
The Actimel yoghurt drinks are made by Danone and come in a variety of flavours. The ones I have tried are orange, pineapple and vanilla so I can only comment on those. All three flavours are...

Advertising slogans
Advantages: See op
Disadvantages: See op
...The boss called a spontaneous staff meeting in the middle of a particularly stressful week. When everyone gathered, the employer, who understood the benefits of having fun, told the burnt out staff the purpose of the meeting was to have a quick contest.
The theme was Viagra advertising slogans. The only rule was that they had to use past ad slogans, originally written for other products that captured the essence of Viagra. Slight variations were acceptable. About 7 minutes later, they turned in their suggestions and created a top ten list. After all the laughter and camaraderie, the rest of the week went very well for everyone.
The top ten:
10. Viagra, Whaaazzzzz Up!
9. Viagra, the quicker pecker upper.
8. Viagra, Like a rock!
7. Viagra, When it absolutely, positively has to be there overnight.

...Advertising Fact Sheet
Advertising is the promotion of many things such as goods (coca cola), services (AA insurance), companies and ideas (government don?t drink and drive ads)Marketers see advertising as part of the rest of the promotional strategy for example s of publicity, public relations and sales promotion. Advertising is big business it can create all kinds of opportunities for companies creating brand awareness, brand image a product lifestyle or personality.
Maslow has created a hierarchy of needs which advertiser use too appeal to potential customers more accurately, the most important of these needs are at the top of the list (Physical needs) working the way down to less important needs (self -actualization needs) for advertisers it is very important to have a knowledge of Maslow?s hierarchy as it is literally ?what...

Sucker for advertising
Advantages: Don't have to buy 2 seperate products
Disadvantages: Bit on the expensive side
...I must be a marketing man's dream, advertise this on telly in the middle of Hollyoaks and I'll buy it!! They are obviously trying to appeal to the blokes too by having Kristin Kreuk from Smallville as their "face" of choice. Seriously though, I am always on the lookout for a good facewash as I am quite prone to oily skin and all that comes with it.
I love a face mask although I am never especially convinced that they actually do anything other than bring out more spots. I do tend to use them from time to time though so I thought my prayers had been answered when I saw this advertised as it is a facewash and a mask in one.
I will start with the face mask. I find that some masks can be quite difficult to apply as they are too thick but this is nice and light and easy to apply and smooth over the areas of your face where you...

The joys of Advertising
Advantages: An is insight into how I earn a living
Disadvantages: It's work!
...I've seen this work challenge everywhere so I thought I'd give it a go on a quiet Tuesday afternoon, and share with the world the highs and the lows of working for News International. Enjoy!
[ 1 ] WHERE DO YOU WORK?
I work for a little newspaper you may have heard of called The Times & Sunday Times. It is a national newspaper, the highest selling quality paper in the country, and a mighty good read, even if I am biased! Our office is based in London, near Tower Hill and I am based in the Times House site. It's one big office with over 100 people on my floor, and a work site with over 5,000!
[ 2 ] WHAT IS YOUR JOB TITLE?
TNL Classified Motor Sales Executive. It sounds a lot fancier than it is!
[ 3 ] WHAT DOES YOUR JOB ENTAIL?
In a nutshell I sell advertising space. I handle accounts with media agencies whom I call...

Ads nowt to do with what they're advertising
Advantages: the drink's lack of sugar, the advert's humour
Disadvantages: single handedly aimed at women
...Diet Coke have recently began yet another lucrative advertising assault on British Television and follow they're previous attempts at being kitsch, cool and alternative while simultaneously targetting their product solely at women. Whether it be Etta James blasting out the immortal "I just wanna make love to you" while a scantily clad hunk sips diet coke to the orgasmic gasps of an office full of women or the latest gang of women acting bizarrely to the slogan "live it", the advertising brains at Diet Coke seem to think that only women are capable of drinking it. What about the clinically obese who want to lose a bit of weight or those people who just prefer the taste?!
The new adverts are admittedly quite funny, with a group of girls pleading with a park ranger to allow them to stay in the park after closing time by enticing him...
