Samsung PS50B451
Advantages: Brillaint TV
Disadvantages: Hard to get used to
...One of the TVs in my house has just been replaced, we was lucky enough to get a deal on the Samsung PS50b451 instead of it costing around the £700 asking price a friend of ours used her staff discount and along with some vouchers, the TV cost us around £350 which is brilliant for what it is. bit of a bargain actually.
I thought I would review it to see if it is actually worth the £700 asking price to those who aren?t as lucky as us to have a friend who works in a shop that sells them.
Why choose this one?
The reason that we choose this particular TV is that we wanted one in the 50 inch size range to replace the old one, and when we had a look at the range available we found that this one was not only the cheapest for what it is, but also we found that this one was the better looking of the three we narrowed our choice down to...

AEG Electrolux Fridge
Advantages: Looks good, full of room, big doors, big shelves, easy to clean
Disadvantages: None
...I moved into my new house about a year and a half ago and as it came unfurnished needed to buy a fridge pretty quickly. Being half American I had always loved the big American Fridges that hold enough food for a family for about a year with a water filter on the front and an ice machine so I had this in mind when I went to Currys.
However as I found out these fridges are also quite wide and the space I had to put my fridge in was quite small which is when I came across the AEG Electrolux fridge/freezer. IT was £650 at Currys which I didn't think was too bad.
The first thing that attracted me to this fridge was the look and design. It's a free standing, chrome fridge so it's not plastic looking like some fridges. The outside is very easy to clean as it is just wipe clean. It has two section, the fridge portion and the freezer...

Tthe AEG L74810 is quietly impressive
Advantages: performs brilliantly and quietly.
Disadvantages: more expensive than some.
...Here I am about to write a review on a washing machine! I can?t quite believe it. A few months ago the most I could tell you about a washing machine was that if you put dirty clothes in and worked it properly clean clothes would come out, however being that I don?t like to spend a lot of money without checking into things I can tell you I now know a lot more.
My tuition on washing machines started in February when my old washing machine started having real problems. Not prepared to part with a large sum of money for a new one without knowing what I should be looking for I started to read a bit about them and when I start reading I can?t stop. The washing machine I eventually chose is the AEG L64810 and I will now endeavour to tell you why.
The AEG L64810 has many functions that you will find on most modern machines but also a few...

AEG means Always Excellent Goods
Advantages: Reliable, Easy to use, Excellent results
Disadvantages: Slightly noisy during the spin cycle
...UPDATE:
I just read a review of an LG washer that someone just bought. My comment to them was - I wonder what you'll think of this in a year or two. Then I thought, perhaps I should update my own washer review. After going over what I wrote below, I can safely say that this machine is still going very strong, and cleaning our clothes very well. Yes, we have accidentially opened the door when there was water inside and started a flood, but that's our fault, not the machine's. All in all - AEG make really good, strong, lasting machines. Highly Recommended - once again!
*****
While this machine is no longer on the market, I've asked Ciao to add it so I can give you all an idea of the quality of AEG machines in general, through my long- term experience with this particular model. And you never know, someone looking at this op...

The Hottest Around!!!
Advantages: Great Reliable Oven That Looks Great
Disadvantages: No Self Cleaning
...MY AEG
Being a lover of cooking and trying different dishes all the time the one really important part of my kitchen set up is my oven, I recently bought a new one to replace my free standing oven. I choose the AEG as it was perfectly matching to my kitchen being built in and chrome it really matches the rest of my kitchen perfectly. I paid £259.00 for the oven and a further £115.00 for the gas hob but this review is based purely on the oven part of the package. The entire package does look great in a fitted kitchen.
**INSIDE**
I have always stuck to electric ovens and the AEG is no different it has a back element that heats the oven and a fan that circulates the heat around the oven to give even cooking especially good when using more than one shelf in the oven for cooking. The inside consists of three different levels which...

Samsung B3310 - but its pink!!
Advantages: Cheap, performs core functions well
Disadvantages: No data cable, location of memory card slot
...Introduction
Whilst out shopping my wife suddenly decided that she needed a new phone as she wasn?t happy with her LG Cookie that she had only had for six months. As she is on a sim only contract, it meant that we would have to pay for a new phone for her. Previously she has always liked Samsung phones so when she saw the newly released B3310, she decided it was the one for her.
Purchasing the phone
We bought the phone in-store from the Carphone Warehouse for £49.95 but we also had to buy £10 airtime on top of this. If we had chosen not to buy the airtime then the phone would have cost £99.95 instead which seemed a bit strange but evidently all phone manufacturers do this. We had the choice of 2 colours, light blue or pink. Unsurprisingly my wife went for the pink phone which will pretty much ensure that I...

AEG L16830 Washer Drier..but not necessarily dry
Advantages: good value, plenty of features, great space saver
Disadvantages: the drier is not a patch on a stand alone machine
...The first thing to say is that if you don't need to combine the washer and drier for very practical reasons - ie space, then don't. Don't get me wrong, the AEG is a very well put together machine that does what it's supposed to do - wash and then dry your laundry. The problem is that it doesn't perform these combined tasks as well as single function machines.
A house move left us with little option but to get rid of our Bosch washer and Hotpoint drier and we opted for the AEG L16830 on the back of consumer recommendations. It looks good, it's easy to install, it's incredibly quiet on wash cycle, the controls are relatively user friendly and it washes pretty well. But........the drying cycle is very disappointing. You have to significantly reduce the load to get an adequate drying cycle and even this takes forever. Because...

AEG Lavamat Update machine
Advantages: excellent washing performance, energy efficient
Disadvantages: none
...Oh the delight!! I recently bought an AEG Lavamat Update after 12 long trusted years with a Zanussi.
How glad i am! The AEG is a superior machine, with functions abounding, yet it is so easy to use, my boyfriend can finally wash clothes with ease!!
With this machine you can just wash, rinse or spin separately at varying temperatures and spin speeds, you can delay washes, rinses and spins too as well as the usual start to finish programmes.
There is no need to tell the machine how heavy or light the wash load is, as it weighs the clothes in the drum and alters the water usage accordingly. The machine also displays the amount of wash time left to go on the front of the machine.
Lavamat Update machines are categorised as being extremely energy efficient. They have full child safety features, water drainage in case of a breakdown...

Bun B Tha Trill
Advantages: Lots of big tunes
Disadvantages: A couple of tracks let it down
...The Port Arthur, Texas rapper Bun B released his debut solo album, "Trill", in 2005 due to the fact that his band mate, Pimp C, was incarcerated, and therefore couldn't work with him to make another UGK album at the time. Together, they have been in the rap game since the late eighties, and were part of the movement to get the southern sound out to the masses.
1. "The Inauguration" (Intro)
2. "Bun"
To get things underway you have him dropping a track, which after he has told us about his role as the president of the H-Town Rap scene, finds him showing exactly why he deserved to take up this position (despite not actually being from here) as he is one of few to make the H-Town sound go to all the far reaches of the globe.
**Four Stars**
3. "Get Throwed"
On this one you have the single collaboration of Bun with his partner in...

The 'B' Word
Advantages: Good story, quite witty
Disadvantages: Possibly not for male readers
...territory, not only in the form of the private investigators themselves, but also as authors of the genre, and it seems that as a species, they're going all out to give the men a run for their money. Sue Grafton, Kentucky-born author with a mystery-writing heritage, brings us a thirty-two year old P.I. with the androgynous handle of Kinsey Millhone (what's wrong with giving a female detective a feminine name, I wonder?) who ticks most of the qualifying boxes, knows how to handle a gun and has no qualms about using it.
In B is for Burglar, the second in the so-called 'Alphabet' series, Kinsey (let's be chivalrous and call her by her forename) is approached by a woman anxious to trace her sister, of whom nothing has been heard for six months or more. There's no love lost between the siblings, but the two women are among a number...
