AEG Electrolux Fridge

...I moved into my new house about a year and a half ago and as it came unfurnished needed to buy a fridge pretty quickly. Being half American I had always loved the big American Fridges that hold enough food for a family for about a year with a water filter on the front and an ice machine so I had this in mind when I went to Currys. However as I found out these fridges are also quite wide and the space I had to put my fridge in was quite small which is when I came across the AEG Electrolux fridge/freezer. IT was £650 at Currys which I didn't think was too bad. The first thing that attracted me to this fridge was the look and design. It's a free standing, chrome fridge so it's not plastic looking like some fridges. The outside is very easy to clean as it is just wipe clean. ...I have been using dishwashers since 1976 and the Aeg F80860 has to be the best one so far. The installation instructions included in the manual are comprehensive and are easy to follow. The machine was ready to use, as soon as the salt had been added and run through empty. The only sound that can be heard is the water running through the pipes when the machine draws water or lets it go down the drain. It has a short cycle of 30 minutes for those rinsed, less soiled dishes. There is also the option to have an economic wash which can be programmed to run at night. 2 PCB failures in a month

Advantages: Choice of programs, 20 min wash, large capacity

...Owned this since April 09 purchased at John Lewis with free 5 year warranty. Not a huge choice of washer dryers and this seemed a reasonable price particularly with 5 year warranty. Good array of programs, 20 min wash very handy for lightly soiled clothes. Pretty quiet in operation but can be noisy winding up for spin, not bad at 1400 just makes a racket getting there. Dryer is ok, washer dryers are never that quick at drying but this one is reasonable but auto dry function leaves clothes slightly damp and always needs an extra run. My issue is that it has now required repair twice in a month, both times it's gone dead and both with PCB failure, this is very disappointing for a £500+ machine to break twice in 5 months. I'd read reviews saying AEG wasn't what it used to be as it's now part of electrolux, could this be proof?! The latest...
