AEG Electrolux Fridge
Advantages: Looks good, full of room, big doors, big shelves, easy to clean

...I moved into my new house about a year and a half ago and as it came unfurnished needed to buy a fridge pretty quickly. Being half American I had always loved the big American Fridges that hold enough food for a family for about a year with a water filter on the front and an ice machine so I had this in mind when I went to Currys.
However as I found out these fridges are also quite wide and the space I had to put my fridge in was quite small which is when I came across the AEG Electrolux fridge/freezer. IT was £650 at Currys which I didn't think was too bad.
The first thing that attracted me to this fridge was the look and design. It's a free standing, chrome fridge so it's not plastic looking like some fridges. The outside is very easy to clean as it is just wipe clean. It has two section, the fridge portion and the freezer...

Put the freshness back in the kitchen
Advantages: does a great job removing smells and grease
Disadvantages: needs an outside vent either through the wall or ceiling
...When we changed our kitchen one of my priorities was to have a decent extractor. I generally dislike strong cooking smells working their way through my house but some smells are worse than others; a decent deep fat fryer took care of the fried foods and a gas barbecue on the deck near the back door took care of grilled meats so that left us with general cooking smells from cabbage to curries.

Great fridge... If you're single.
Advantages: Energy consumption
Disadvantages: Space
...I bought this fridge mid last year (2005) because I'm a student on my own, which is fine. I picked it because for what it is it has a reasonable price tag of around 250 pounds and it has a low energy consumption, class A on the A-G scale, which is the best.
I would recommend this fridge to uni students and single people because it is the perfect size for your needs, it doesnt cost much to buy and to run, and its a good runner, lo maintenance, thus a good investment.
This fridge has many good features for a small and inexpensive one, for example it has an anti-bacterial coating on its inside, which is good if you're a student because we're not exactly the most hygenic of people! And its about the weight of half a person, so again, if you're on your own you're going to be able to get it about all right.

Don't buy it
Advantages: None.
Disadvantages: The bleeping, it's incessant.
..., rang them and they wouldn't simply answer the question "can I turn this stupid noise off". The only way they will answer this simple question is if I write to them with my life story beforehand.
Surely you can do better AEG/Electrolux? It was quite a simple question. The fact they wouldn't answer tells me either a) they don't care or b) know it's a stupid invention but are powerless to give me some peace.
I hate this machine. I don't just mean I don't like it, I'd prefer another model, I mean I HATE IT. I'd love to smash the brute with a sledgehammer to shut it up.
Just picture it; it's Sunday, you're relaxing in bed with the Sunday papers and breakfast, the birds are chirping, the sun's shining through your window. Next thing you know you have your stupid washing machine going off like a house alarm.
Don't buy it!...

My fridge smiles at me all day!
Advantages: Easy convenient photo displays for all the family
Disadvantages: Might have to look at yourself first thing in the morning.

Rather oddly named, the Pixel is designed as a fridge magnet frame.
It holds 3 photos each measuring 6'x4'(x1) and 2.5'x3.5'(x2).
Its vital statistics are: Width:160mm; Height: 210mm; Weight: 57g
All you need to do is choose your print; insert it into the pocket behind the frame and snap it onto your fridge (or other metallic flat surface).
Now you have a great point of interest or even an ice breaker in your kitchen. I found these incredibly useful when my children were small - an instant distraction from the "will you play with me?" whilst trying to make dinnner and a chance to develop speaking and interactive skills using an interesting event or person as a starting point.
(And you thought it was just a boring old fridge magnet!)

New Found Glory
Advantages: quick, quiet, efficient

...Right well, I have just recently moved house and this little number was sitting in the kitchen ready and waiting. I didn't think twice about it because in all fairness - its a washing machine, you know? But when the time came to use it, I was quite impressed.
This electrolux machine has a very easy to use control panel (and I'm useless at trying to make things work!), it seems a lot quieter when spinning than other machines I've heard and it has a high energy efficiency rating.

My fridge

...Normally my fridge is practically empty but I just got the shopping delivered today from Tesco so it is full.
In the main section of the fridge there is 3 shelves and 2 salad drawers.

On the top shelf of my fridge there is:
15 x 200ml cartons of mulipa aptimel forward ready to drink baby milk - thought I would have a lazy weekend.
6 apple, apricot and strawberry frutapura pots.
4 pear and apple fruitapura pots.
500ml bottle of cow & gate tropical fruit juice.
500ml bottle of cow & gate summer fruits juice.
1 pot of lamb, carrots, cauiliflower & broccoli mash (homemade for the twins).
2 Avent bottles with 6oz of milk in to go with their breakfast.
