Tesco's Finest After Sun Lotion was on offer for half price so i though that I would purchase it and give it ago and I can honestly say that it worked. Packaging It comes in a blue 200ml pump bottle which is blue in colour with little stars on it. Product: The bottle says that it rehydrates your skin for 12 hours, contains antioxidants, nourishes, soothes and calms your skin, and it did exactly that for me. ...of the islands2 as advertised on the sun tan oils and lotions. Instead it has less of a summer holiday smell, and whilst it smells fruity, it smells more like my usual moisturisers. Not unpleasant, and not disappointing, just a bit unexpected. Anyway, I don't think i want to be smelling so fruity after a day in the sun- maybe a bit neutral after a shower is a good thing. The after sun itself isn't really thick and creamy, because if it was, it would probably clog up the pump. However, partly because of the fact that it's not incredibly thick, it does soak easily into my skin and doesn't need lots and lots of rubbing in. A Non Peeling After Sun

I usually take my leftovers of suntan lotion and after sun on holiday but I read an article last year that the stability of sun protection lotions is unknown and as a result the shelf life of these products may have been over estimated. I quickly binned the dregs and half empty bottles that were lurking in my cupboards. New lotions and after sun were bought for my recent holiday to Kos, Greece. I bought Garnier Amber Solaire moisturising protection spray and Garnier Amber Solaire After Sun hydrating tan maintainer. Disadvantages: bad packaging, not hypo-allergenic

...on sun cream refers to its UVB protection. The Johnson’s cream is SPF30, which theoretically means that it gives you can stay out in the sun for 30 times as long as you normally could without burning, but these factors become a bit meaningless after 15. The Vichy cream is SPF 60, but I don’t think it is actually double the strength of the Johnson’s – factor 30 is enough for anyone really, although you do get a bit more protection from higher factors. UVA on the other hand is thought to cause some ageing and also some types of skin cancer, so you need to look at a cream’s UVA protection as well as it’s SPF. Johnson’s sun cream does protect against UVA, as does the Vichy cream, although there is as yet no international standard for rating it, so I can’t compare the two. Everyone should also know...
