...I hate shaving, and aftershave hurts but I find that wearing aftershave balm is excellent, you should try it. The cooling effect of the above balm quickly takes away the sting from my face, and I very rarely get the dreaded 'red neck' syndrome. This particular aftershave is excellent, the smell isn't as overpowering as 'normal' aftershave, but it seems to last longer throughout the morning. Although the balm is green in colour, don't let that put you off, try it, I know you will like it, and it is not too expensive.... Read review

...The title being what I usually release from my lips as I frantically rub the balm in! I have used other aftershave products which make my skin still like sh... well, they make my face hurt a lot! Nivea aftershave seem to have come up trumps with this formula, which both smells and feels nice once rubbed in. It is very refreshing once it is on, and makes my skin feel very smooth, and does seem to last until the next day. At about five pounds per bottle, it's good value for money, as it will last for a couple of months if you don't go overboard when using it! ...this Aftershave is probably one of the best kept secrets out there. I recently aquired a bottle of this for my birthday and decided to wear it for our visit to Manchester to celebrate this. I was not aware that this has a great effect on the opposite sex with girls asking me what aftershave I had on every time I went to the bar. You can imagine the look upon my friends face when his girlfriend even said she liked it better than his hugo boss. Issey is probably the best aftershave for people with sensative skin as there is a version out that has a built in moisturising system and therefore keeps the skin smooth and does not irratate as much. ...Call me an old woman (which i'm not, by the way), but i've always been a big fan of the normal, old-fashioned Nivea Cream. Unfortunately it's just not really suitable for use as an aftershave balm. So when i learned that Nivea did various aftershave balms as part of their "Nivea For Men" range, i got quite excited. I was hoping that this would mean i could experience fantastic Nivea skincare, whilst using a proper, manly shaving product. I wouldn't say i have particularly sensitive skin, but when i shave there's generally a lot of burning and soreness. Ideal to test an aftershave balm on then. Nivea aftershave balms come in 100ml glass bottles, which look quite stylish (if you're interested in that kind of thing). You're advised to apply a small amount after each shave, so a 100ml bottle should last quite a long time. The balm... Read review

...Do you feel like shouting at the top of your voice when you apply aftershave after shaving? I do, and sometimes I look just like that kid from Home Alone. I have found an excellent alternative to aftershave that not only does it not sting, it actually leaves your skin feeling smooth and refreshed. Nivea has been a notourious brand name in costmetic products for women. Now they are producing a range of products for us men too. Their after shave balm is the best thing I have ever used after shaving. It is enriched with vitamins and other various things that help to soothe and calm your skin, minimizing the risk of further skin irritation. Its completely alcohol free, which means it doesn't sting. It cost me about £5 for a 100ml bottle, that should last you 6 months I would think. ...I love this aftershave..... it is sex on legs. I found it last year in the Duty Free in Heathrow hiding in a corner & I took a quick sniff. I was blown away!!!! It is in a gorgeous silver box, nice bottle & incredible effect. I had to buy it for my boyfriend.... luckily he felt the same way about it. In fact, he is now on his third bottle. I even keep the old bottle just to get the smell when he is away (how sad is that !!!!). Incidentally, the other D&G Masculin products smell divine (aftershave balm especially).... Read review

Advantages: soothing, moisturising after-shave balm
Disadvantages: fairly expensive

...of the aftershave balm on the sore areas after shaving, and after only a few minutes, the redness has gone down and your face feels less sore. Nivea for men aftershave balm also acts as a moisturiser so essentially it is like purchasing two products in one - there is simply no need to go and purchase a seperate moisturiser as this product works a treat. Within 20 minutes of using Nivea for men aftershave balm after shaving, the redness on my skin has all but completely dissapeared and I am left with a smooth and soft clean-shaven look which I love. I have tried a number of other aftershave balms and gels available on the domestic market, but I have to say that this is the most effe
