Death on the Nile - Deathly Boring

Advantages: Used up a couple of hours on an otherwise dull Sunday
Disadvantages: Nothing challenging about it

...I've played a few of Agatha Christie's puzzle games, one of which involved Hercule Poirot and I really enjoyed them. This one however I found dreadfully poor and I'm not really sure what the creators were thinking of when they dreamt it up. Advantages: Wonderful cast, great to look at
Disadvantages: None that I can think of!

To Egypt and to death

Advantages: Rich, sumptuous setting
Disadvantages: Some characters a little over the top

...characters are way too over the top though. This is just one of the many adaptations of Agatha Christie's Poirot starring David Suchet. Thank goodness it is not the last. David Suchet will be a hard actor to replace. Highly recommended. I have seen the film version of this adaptation, but the DVD is available from Amazon for £12.99 . The DVD is also available as part of a collection of Poirot adaptations starring David Suchet, published by Agatha Christie Limited (A Chorion Company). Death on the Nile is the first adaptation available and is available for an introductory price of just ₤2.99 from most newsagents for a DVD and a magazine with information about the film, actors and Agatha Christie herself. I haven't seen the magazine, but the DVD alone has to worth that price!...

Advantages: Great idea, artistic graphics, and superb music in an addictive game.
Disadvantages: It might be a game that one plays only once.

...Agatha Christie ? Death on the Nile (pc game) The objective of this game is to find the murderer(s) of a married woman called Linnet Doyle and other victims later on. This murder took place on a board ship and so players are shown different rooms on the ship and asked to find certain objects some of which turn out to be clues. A certain time is given at the end of which if not all the objects were found, the player repeats the stage they failed in. Five hints are also given to help the player. The number of objects one is asked to find varies; it starts with 18 in the first stage and end with around 50 in the final stage. What adds to the beauty, and difficulty of the game, is for instance having to find 12 pieces of a torn picture or letter, 6 roses and put them in a vase, numbered balls and put them in a jar in a certain...

Agatha Christie Did It In The Clouds!

Advantages: very entertaining film
Disadvantages: not exactly true to the book

The film was adapted from the Agatha Christie book (of the same name) by William Humble and directed by Stephen Whittaker. The film runs for 1 hour 40 minutes, is rated PG and was first released in 1992. My Opinion I had read the book Death in the Clouds some time ago and vaguely remembered who had committed the murder and how (or maybe there are murders, I'm not telling you) but couldn't remember exactly why. The Book For The Trip

Advantages: a cosy thriller
Disadvantages: none

...with you, I follow all red herrings, fall into each trap and read the final pages of an Agatha Christie murder mystery in utter bewilderment: indeed, it could have happened only like this, why didn´t I see it from the start? Poirot follows his own rules, he doesn´t break any laws, but occasionally looks the other way and turns a blind eye, this happens invariably when he notices romantic feelings develop among the people he has to deal with, then he does everything to make them blossom. ´Death on the Nile´is a fine example of this attitude, three proposals are made (two accepted), one can only come about because Monsieur helps a crook get straight. Agatha Christie in her own words, ´I think, myself, that the book is one of the best of my ´foreign travel´ones.´ I have nothing to add....

...Death on the Nile is a 1978 British feature film based on the 1937 murder mystery novel by Agatha Christie. Cast I am not describing the performances of the whole cast here in detail, but only the ones that really made a lasting impression on me. Sir Peter Ustinov as Mr Hercule Poirot - 5/5 Sir Peter Ustinov has his first appearance as Poirot here - and he certainly doesn't disappoint. My second favourite Agatha Christie ever...

Advantages: Keeps you intrigued until the end. Surprising ending, quite takes your breath away.
Disadvantages: Just that the ending is so good, you can't forget it, so re-reading means it has to be done knowing the ending.
