Advantages: Very effective at cooling the room
Disadvantages: A little noisy

...it on and it takes about 5 seconds for the compressor to come on (the thing that cools the air) and then just sit back and feel the cold air blowing. Now i have stupid windows that mean i have to have one slightly open for the hose to stick out which is a pain but it doesn't appear to have much effect on the rooms temperature. I first switched it on air conditioner mode, left my bedroom for about 10 minutes, went back in and it was like a fridge, even with the big window slightly a jar. Its very powerful at cooling the room down quickly and has 2 fan speeds. It is on the other hand quite noisy but all air conditioners are, it is not too noisy but i wouldn't recommend trying to sleep whilst it is on. I put it on about half an hour before i go to bed and then switch it off and put the fan on as the fan then blows the cool air around the room. It is 9000BTU... Read review

...We do not have any fixed choice for air fresheners. If we need one, I buy anyone see in the shop but generally try to buy from the brands, Air Wick, Oust and Dettol. The freshener may be aerosol spray, plug in or any other type. Last time I bought Air Wick aerosol 2 in 1 Peach & Jasmine. When the product is almost used up, I remember of writing my experience about this air freshener and so started searching the product in Ciao product list but this wasn't there even though its in the market for quite a long period. ...My partner and I booked a holiday to Paris in August, partly for the World Athletics Champs, and partly because being from the other side of the world, we'd never been there before, so it seemed like a good opportunity to go. I booked the flights directly on Virgin Travel (online travel agency). The return economy tickets from Heathrow to Charles de Gaulle cost £65 each, which was cheaper than the Eurostar, and other airlines. We booked these in late June or early July, I cannot remember which. Looking at Air France's website, they do have last minute specials if you are one of those people who decides to travel at the very last second. About the flight itself, it was fine (both ways). ...Before I discovered Nougat Room Mist, I used to use Glade Air Infusions Violet and Ylang-Ylang air freshener. I spotted the air freshener in Tesco's about a year ago because of bright purple lid on the tin. The use of colouring and the curvy shape of the tin made it stand out from the rest of the other air fresheners on the shelves. It was a little more expensive than the other air fresheners costing £1.99 per tin; where as all the others were retailing at under a £1; but I decided to buy it regardless of the price. I love the scent of this particular air freshener because it has a really unusual scent which I think smells similar to perfume. ...I bought this fridge as part of a fitted kitchen from B & Q. Within the first year it had broken down and the compressor was replaced under the terms of the guarantee.Just over a year later, the replacement compressor also packed in, and I am now faced with a repair bill of £300. I also had to pay a call out charge of £46 just to find out that the compressor was broken. The compressor has the model number: GD36AA and is made by Electrolux, so it may be fitted to other manufacturers' fridges. Anyone thinking of buying a kitchen from B & Q should consider taking the extended guarantee on the appliances. I should mention that the freezer has given no trouble so far.... Read review

...I absolutely HATE Air France. I recently took my partner on an extended weekend (5 days) for her Birthday to New York. My only mistake was booking with Air France. The hotel was great, weather, food everything but the travel. We had a 6 hour delay at Manchester which meant arriving late into Paris CDG. We had missed our connection and were told that we wouldnt be getting to New York today !!! Easily said, very hard to take. They suggested that if we did want to get to NYC today then they could fly us to Montreal CANADA !! We took this option because we really wanted to get to NYC and the accomodation was already paid for (5 Star Manhattan Hotel) We left Paris and arrived in Canada (but our luggage didnt) we ended up being delayed again and staying in Montreal overnight then onto NYC in the morning. ...I had an nice portable ex-hire air conditioner, which I used all year. It made our bedroom cool & the air quality was lovely. Then it developed a leak, no-one would fix it (it was a very old unit) and in the end we disposed of it very reluctently. This summer's heat wave has proved to take its toll on us and our house! We have odd windows which, don't allow much air in- and our bedroom reaches 42c! Our front room also gets extremely hot, but this time I couldn't find an ex-hire air con unit, nor can I afford right now- to spend at least £200 for a new one. We had two fans on the go for a while, but as our house is very dust prone, and my eyes are sensitive- sleeping with a fan on just gave me dry sore throat & puffy sore eyes. I didn't think an air cooler would be any good, due to the fact it won't cool an entire room... Read review
