Advantages: Very comfortable, easy to inflate
Disadvantages: Bit large for little old ladies, bit smelly when new

They didn't, however, say anything about getting it through a caravan door! Once inflated, this little monster was going nowhere. Dad and my brother tried for ages, squeezing it at different angle to get it through the door, but it just wouldn't budge. By this time, it was getting dusk and dad was in a vile mood. Review of Outwell Classic Flock Airbed

Comfortable, quick to inflate and doesn't leak.

Advantages: Each side inflates separately allowing for different weights and preventing sinking in middle.
Disadvantages: None really

...We are now on our second Coleman comfort bed as the first one sustained a puncture and we were too lazy to repair it! The best thing about this airbed is that you pump each side up individually. This prevents the 'sinking into the middle' effect that normally happens after a couple of days. It also means that you can inflate each side to your individual needs (softer on one side for example). The last time we used our airbed, we needed to top it up halfway through the week but that was all - we use an electric pump though so it's not exactly hard work! The other thing I like about this airbed is that it is flat, i.e. no raised pillow bit so you can use your own pillows more comfortably. For those who want to be a little different!

Advantages: Great family size, compacts into a reasonable sized bag,
Disadvantages: Could be more ventilation

.../awning, depending where the wind is blowing from etc. Having opening vents with fly nets in the doors would be a good idea, to prevent you having to part-open other doors to gain a draught on a hot day. The four of us found this a good size - plenty of space for safe cooking inside, chairs and table, etc. To be honest, 12 would be a tight squeeze unless everyone uses a rollmat rather than an airbed or camping bed. Judging by other pictures I've seen, Wynnster might have altered the design of this a little over its lifespan....

...Camping Panoramico Fiesole is over priced and over-regulated. More expensive than the average youth hostel is abroad, the ground is so hard it is impossible to even break the surface with a tent peg. The ground is also very stony and therefore deeply uncomfortable unless you have an air-bed or similar. Don't plan on camping unless you have something to weigh your tent down with! For those who do not enjoy camping in tents, there is the facility for taking a caravan/campervan or renting a bungalow, but I do not know whether this option is good value for money in terms of quality. The campsite facilities are relatively decent, quite clean but not really of the standard one would expect for the money you pay. As well as doing big snuggly bags for people who have cars, they also do small compact bags for people who only have rucksacks. There's a selection of airbeds in store, and you can get ones that inflate themselves, although they need batteries and are currently £40, where a normal double airbed is half the price. Still, an interesting innovation. Millets do an excellent selection of impedimenta, ideal for camping or picnicing - cooking gear, cups, plates, cunning things so you can do toast on a single gas ring, water bottles, torches and all the other bits and pieces a camper might need.
