I usually prefer to use public transport to and from the airport but when the flight returns quite late I like to drive back. To book visit their website (www.airparks.co.uk), select the dates that you are looking to park for and they will quote a price. For 6 days this is in the region of £27 or £4.50 per day, so is not too bad. They are listed on several cashback sites, such as quidco and topcashback, so you can get around 10% of this back. You can pay by credit or debit card (credit cards have a £1.50 fee) and once payment has gone through you are sent a confirmation email with a reference number that you have to take with you when you go. ...Chicago airport. On a recent visit to san Diego, we had to have a stop in Chicago airport for a couple of hours...most of my travelling seems to be spent in airports! On The Doorstep Of Heathrow Airport

...I stayed at the Sheraton Skyline hotel near Heathrow airport in September 2007 before I flew out on my annual holiday. I booked this hotel because according to their website, it is literally on the doorstep of Heathrow Airport. Room Our room was located on the 10th floor but sadly the room overlooked the hotel car park but to be honest this wasn?t a problem because we weren't staying here for the view! Our room was very large, much bigger than I expected for the price I paid. The bed was extremely large, probably about 6 feet wide and very comfortable. It certainly left us both feeling like we had a decent nights sleep. The room also had two wardrobes, an office desk and chair and a lamp on either bed side table. There was also a fully stocked mini bar but to be honest the prices were so extortionate that we didn?t even bother...

I was recommended by a friend to look for a company called Ace Meet and Greet at Gatwick Airport, on finding a site that advertised Ace I entered my details but on the results I couldn't see Ace any where. I decided to find them directly There website is called www.ace-parking-gatwick.co.uk and on talking to a very friendly lady, she informed me that the large websites charge a big commission to them to give them bookings. They have decided to let the customers come direct and get a better deal. I personally paid £45 for 1 weeks parking. These brokers where charging £60. holidayextras have a guarantee they wont be beaten but very easily they where. ...I was persuaded by rachel1431's comprehensive review from 2005 to give Europa Goldcar at Palma airport a try. But as she suggested, I booked directly through their website (http://www.europa-rentacar.es/en) rather than using the broker Carjet. Before booking A couple of things made me hesitate before going ahead. First I'd never heard of them. Not surprising as they only seem to operate in Spain and the Balearic islands. However, their website says they have a fleet of 16,000 cars, renewed every six months. So evidently they're not exactly a small operation. The other thing I wasn't initially happy about was their fuel policy. When you pick up the car they charge you for a full tank of fuel and you get no refund when you return the car, so you should try to leave the tank as empty as possible. I found a lot...

Exactly how an airport hotel ought to be

Advantages: So close that you can almost feel the breeze as the planes come in to land
Disadvantages: It's more expensive than the more distant airport hotels

...of a very early flight being made slightly less painful as a result of staying so close to the airport that you really do just roll out of bed and stroll into the departures area. The entrance to the hotel is directly in front of the main airport building and the hotel itself sits on top of the multi-storey short-stay car park. Take a look at the photo that Ciao provided - basically, the Sheraton is the top floor of that oval building and all the lower floors are car parks. Sure enough I later discovered that the Arabella had 'morphed' into the Sheraton (a more internationally recognisable hotel brand) so I was very pleased. What I remembered from my previous stay was that the hotel had a turfed roof garden and when I'd opened my curtains to see how the weather was looking, I'd been charmed by a mother duck and a group of young ducklings...
