THE EXPRESS HOLIDAY INN GLASGOW AIRPORT !

Advantages: location,clean and comfortable,great value for money ,plenty of facilitys.friendly staff

...Holiday Inn Express at Glasgow Airport. Me and my girlfriend booked this hotel 3 weeks before hand and got a great rate of £55 for one night including full breakfast.We got the free airport bus from buchan bus station which takes to outside the main terminal at the airport .When we arrived we were amazed at how close it was actually to the main terminal of Glasgow Airport less than 2 minutes which was very handy for our morning departure.We checked in around 1630 and were told in detail the facility's , restaurant opening times , breakfast times and all check out details by two friendly staff receptionists one lady also helped us with the masses of luggage we had to the room. We were surprised with the quality of the hotel with it just being a budget hotel the entrance to the hotel resembles the same look in decor as any 4 or 5 star...

Good airport hotel, but not so good customer service!

...I spent two nights at this hotel with my partner recently when up in Glasgow to see a concert at Hampden Park. It was the second time I have stayed at this hotel, the first being a couple of years back when again I was attending a concert. The hotel is very easy to find and ideally situated just off Junction 28 on the M8 at the airport itself. The hotel is visible from the motorway, and it just a case of driving into the airport, turn right at the roundabout, and it is straight ahead of you. There is a car park at the hotel, which was free the first time I stayed here, but you are now charged £5.00 per night. If you are going on holiday, you can also leave your car here. I have stayed in Express by Holiday Inn hotels quite often over the last few years and only once had a problem, which resulted in me receiving a refund so all was well...

Poorly Expressed

Advantages: It tries to bring a little known hero to light.
Disadvantages: It's hackneyed in all respects.

The majority of the arrangements centre around warm, hopeful string refrains. There are also insistent piano arrangements that set the scene, deep bowed cellos and electric guitar with rising brass and drums for Ernie?s first high school game and the usual triumphal brass for victories. However, there seem to be passages of music for virtually every scene, so you filter it out after a while. It also feels as though the composer is trying to blackmail you into feeling whatever emotion he?s pushing. The other soundtrack choices include popular music of the day from black artists, including ?Mojo Working?, and ?What I?d Say?. They add a historical context, but overall the music feels overzealous. ?The Express? is a serviceable...

Alicante Airport

Advantages: Good location, decent amenities
Disadvantages: Can't think of any

...I use Alicante airport for my annual break in Spain and find it is convenient and fairly easy to use. It is situated just outside Alicante on the Costa Blanca, around 46.5km from Benidorm. It is within driving distance of Valencia, around two hours and 179km. Arrivals You would probably fly to Alicante if you were staying in Benidorm, Torrevieja, Altea, Calpe, Moraira or Teulada. It is popular with budget airlines such as Easyjet and Bmibaby and there are flights from many regional airports in the UK such as East Midlands, Liverpool, Bristol, Newcastle and Stansted to name a few. There are around ten car hire companies who operate out of the airport including the big names like Avis, Europcar and Hertz, these desks are located in the arrivals hall and can get busy at peak times. ...Chicago airport. On a recent visit to san Diego, we had to have a stop in Chicago airport for a couple of hours...most of my travelling seems to be spent in airports! It was the busiest airport in the United States until Atlanta became the busiest and it was apparently voted best airport in North America in 2000...that's 8 years ago so i don't know which airport has been winning since then. The airport is 20 miles from downtown Chicago but since we weren't actaully going to Chicago we didn't actally leave the airport so I can't comment on the transport links. **The Terminals** Of course when stuck in an airport these are the places you see most often. There are 4 terminals and strangely enough these are Terminals 1, 2, 3 and Terminal 5 which is the International Terminal...whatever happened to number 4? All of the terminals are...

East Midlands Airport

Advantages: Easily accessed, not too busy
Disadvantages: Not a huge range of destinations

...or are going to be going airside anyway. Going through security there are lots of shops and places to eat. Everything is mainly all on one level, with shops on one side and the departure gates on the other with lots of seats for when you are waiting. There is a Boots, Dixons Tax Free shopping, Duty Free Shop and Accessorize for anything you need on your journey. There is a bar and places to get something to eat (including cafe Ritazza, Burger King and Pizza Hut Express upstairs). I've had breakfast there before early morning flights and while it's a bit expensive, for an airport it's not too bad. There are plenty of screens around so you can check on the status of your flight, and the tannoy system is pretty good so you can hear all the announcements quite clearly. What I love about East Midlands is that there are never huge crowds...

Express around the Nation?

Advantages: cheaper than flying/trains at short notice
Disadvantages: much slower than most other transport options

...the chance i would have changed seats but all were filled. The coach stop at Hythe isnt easy to find from the information on the website, but the stop itself is on the one way sytem and goes have the National Express logo on the stop sign. Victoria in London looks run down and is very busy. For those that dont know you arrive at one side of the road and depart from the other- confusing if you didnt know as I didnt took a little while to work it out. Bolton the National Express stop on the main road next to the Great Moor St bus station a short walk from the train station so it is easy to get around from there. The trip from London to Bolton was on the service that called at Manchester Airport but as that is popular it was split in to two coach loads, one terminating at the airport and one doing all the other stops after the airport. Limited Facilities, Nice Enough Airport
