...I stayed at the Sheraton Skyline hotel near Heathrow airport in September 2007 before I flew out on my annual holiday. I booked this hotel because according to their website, it is literally on the doorstep of Heathrow Airport. Room Our room was located on the 10th floor but sadly the room overlooked the hotel car park but to be honest this wasn?t a problem because we weren't staying here for the view! Our room was very large, much bigger than I expected for the price I paid. The bed was extremely large, probably about 6 feet wide and very comfortable. It certainly left us both feeling like we had a decent nights sleep. The room also had two wardrobes, an office desk and chair and a lamp on either bed side table. There was also a fully stocked mini bar but to be honest the prices were so extortionate that we didn?t even bother...

...I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights in November 2008 before I flew out on holiday from Heathrow. On arriving at the hotel it was a bit chaotic as the lobby seemed to be full of people leaving for the airport but there wasn't enough porters or luggage trolleys to go around, at one point a fight nearly broke out over the last trolley! After standing and watching with ammusment for 5 minutes we reached the front of the queue for reception and were checked in quickly and efficiently by a friendly receptionist. We then made our way back across the crowded lobby and into the lift (complete with mood lighting). We had a room on the second floor with a view of the airport. Pre-eminent? Not Quite (UPDATED)!

Advantages: Looks nice in parts
Disadvantages: Poor lighting in room, lack of sound proofing, lack of ventilation

...offer good facilities but we did not feel we experienced them. My overall rating of this 4 star hotel which claims "For sheer quality and total convenience, the Skyline at Heathrow has reclaimed its status as the pre-eminent London airport hotel. Business is easy and leisure is a pleasure." (which I would have to disagree with on all counts apart from the business viewpoint which I have no experience of) is a pretty poor 4 out of 10. And before you ask or recommend me to do so - I have already fed back my concerns over our stay to the hotel - let's see what, if anything, they do about it. Advantages: Close to airport and shuttle bus runs frequently
Disadvantages: Bad service, dated rooms

...I've stayed at this hotel as I attended an event held in the conference centre. Parking was difficult, mainly because this hotel offers a park and stay facility for Heathrow Airport and after driving around each area of the car park we ended up parking at the side of the exit road. It was good job that we stayed on site for the time we were there as I wouldn't have fancied my chances at parking up again if we left and came back. When we checked in we were told that a pre-authorisation charge would be put on the account until we checked out. This is fair enough, obviously they don't want people charging items to their room and not paying, but our pre-authorisation charge was £400 - nearly three times what our total bill would be. Sky high prices for the Skyline hotel

I booked the hotel through priceline.co.uk and got the room for £51 including taxes, which I though was quite reasonable for a 4 star hotel. Location We found the Sheraton Skyline fairly easy to find. The hotel website allows you to print off a map and this made it quite easy to find the hotel if it wasn't for my boyfriend taking a few wrong turns! The hotel is on a large road that is absolutely heaving with hotels. Literally the whole road consists of hotels, some very large and impressive ones such as the Marriott.
