Larnaca wow what an experiance

Advantages: you won't get lost
Disadvantages: too few seats!!

...I have used Larnaca airport a number of times, as at one time due to my husbands job we were living in Cyprus. I can best describe Larnaca airport as a warehouse with a few slight upgrades. If you arrive early for your check in you will be hard pressed to find a seat to rest your tired bones, but you will find quite a nice little shop where you can stock up on a few sweeties for the flight, but be warned the shop is only big enough for about 3 people so don't take your whole family in to choose goodies. You will also see a few security men standing around looking important, my most scarey exerpiance in Larnaca airport was when the sercurity men were standing around being busy looking powerful and I was sat (yes sat I was one of the fastest to the seats)watching a man empty his suitcase of certain items of clothing all bunched up...

Alicante Airport

Advantages: Good location, decent amenities
Disadvantages: Can't think of any

...I use Alicante airport for my annual break in Spain and find it is convenient and fairly easy to use. It is situated just outside Alicante on the Costa Blanca, around 46.5km from Benidorm. It is within driving distance of Valencia, around two hours and 179km. Arrivals You would probably fly to Alicante if you were staying in Benidorm, Torrevieja, Altea, Calpe, Moraira or Teulada. It is popular with budget airlines such as Easyjet and Bmibaby and there are flights from many regional airports in the UK such as East Midlands, Liverpool, Bristol, Newcastle and Stansted to name a few. ...Chicago airport. On a recent visit to san Diego, we had to have a stop in Chicago airport for a couple of hours...most of my travelling seems to be spent in airports! It was the busiest airport in the United States until Atlanta became the busiest and it was apparently voted best airport in North America in 2000...that's 8 years ago so i don't know which airport has been winning since then. Belfast International Airport

Advantages: Internet, Cheap car parking
Disadvantages: Can get boring after 18 hours

The day before we where to depart to orlando the shoe bomber came on the scene! So the airport secuirty was put up. But the airline I was travelling with most of their planes had Technical difficuilties. So I was delayed for 30 hours and had to stay in the Hilton over night. So I should be able to tell you enough about it as I was in it for 24 hours. Area... The Belfast airport isn't in belfast, it is closer to Antrim a city near belfast. The airport is around 12 or 13 miles away from Belfast. So I don't know why they called it Belfast International Airport. But there is a hotel beside the airport. Doha International Airport

Advantages: Clean, loads of seating areas, all flights were on time

...Arriving At Doha Airport When we arrived at Doha airport, we were taken by a shuttle bus to the main airport building. As you enter the airport, you will notice that there are two directions you can take which are well signposted. One path takes you to the main part of Doha airport and the second route takes you to any other connecting fights. Facilities There is a small food court in the departure lounge at Doha airport. East Midlands Airport

Advantages: Easily accessed, not too busy
Disadvantages: Not a huge range of destinations

...East Midlands Airport is a regional airport located in Castle Donington in Derbyshire. There are flights available to many European destinations, as well as Egypt, USA (Florida) and the Caribbean with charter airlines. I have flown from this airport many times and it is my favourite airport mainly due to it's location, ease of access and relaxed atmosphere. It is easily accessed by car from the M1 (Junction 23 and 23A) or the A50 which is the road I use when travelling from Staffordshire. I live around 50 miles from the airport but the A50 is a relatively quiet road so it's a nice 40 minute drive and I can start my holiday. Exactly how an airport hotel ought to be

Advantages: So close that you can almost feel the breeze as the planes come in to land
Disadvantages: It's more expensive than the more distant airport hotels

... When is an airport hotel not really an airport hotel? I have spent a stupid amount of time in airport hotels in the past year and have learned that the term 'airport hotel' can be very misleading. Some, like the Sheraton Dusseldorf Airport really are right at the airport whilst many can be a 10-15 minute cab ride away. As for shuttle busses that take you almost an hour to get from the hotel to the airport, there are far too many of those knocking about. My advice - for what it's worth - is to make sure you know exactly what you are getting when you book an airport hotel. A good price can be spoiled by discovering that the shuttle bus only goes once an hour and a taxi can cost you half the room rate just to get there. Advantages: Easily accessible to main town Heraklion. Good transport links to rest of island. Staff friendly
Disadvantages: Slow check in procedure with scanning bags after check in with tickets. Tour operator queues.

...Me and my family all decided to go to Cyprus for a week, so we got a flight to Larnaca Airport, The east side of Cyprus. When we began to land we went around in one big circle as we went straight past the airport and went all the way to Protaros then we turned back round. We then began to head for the runway and I thought the airport was an old factory-like place as it was nothing ive ever seen before. The terminals were very small and it didnt look modern like most other airports. We then got off the plane and we saw these young airport workers wizzing around the airport on motpeds.
