Aiwa HS-TX486 - Fantastic Walkman
Advantages: Lots of great features, very durable, good price
Disadvantages: Disadvantages? Yeah right!
...NOTE
************
For background on Walkmans in general and why you should still use them today please see my opinion on “Aiwa Walkmans in General” with the title “Walkmania – Walkmans in General”.
INTRODUCTION
**********************
A few years ago I was looking for a new Walkman as my old one, a very outdated Sony model, had broken. So where do you begin when looking for a Walkman? Well, I personally decided to look in the Argos catalogue for a bargain Walkman made by a brand I could trust. I opted for the same manufacturer as my Hi-Fi, Aiwa, and this attractive little Aiwa HS-TX486 caught my eye at a very affordable price.
PRICE
*************
I forget what the price was back then, but now after some research I can tell you that this little gem can now be bought for just £20.00, which is...

Motorola HS810 Review..
Advantages: Good Sound Quality, Very Light
Disadvantages: N/A
...using Hands Free, you can reject incoming calls and can make the phone redial the last number without the handset this is the feature i like the best u dont get many headsets that do this that are the same size.
The other benefit to the design is that it very compact. When the boom is folded away, the headset is one of the smallest i have see in the stores. With it extended you get a normal sized headset. In the end you get the benefits of small size when you need it, and a microphone that is a bit closer to your mouth when you need that instead.
And the headset weighs less than 20g and it fits all those excellent features in.
Overview:
Up to 5 hours of talk time
Up to 100 hours standby time
Connect with up to 8 Bluetooth devices
Weight 21 grams
Frequency band: 2. 45 Ghz
Whats in the box:

Aiwa NSX-V70 Stereo System.
Advantages: Good tone quality, good tape recording quality
Disadvantages: Needs longer leads on speakers - needs frequent CD lens cleaning
...1995 seems like a long time ago but that's when we bought our Aiwa NSX-V70 from Comets and, although I am aware that others seem to have given this stereo system bad reviews, we have found ours to be really excellent. Maybe it's something to do with acoustics but we find the tone very rich, particularly on its equalizer settings - I purchased a couple of phono leads and connected to our nicam Sony VCR and/or DVD player. Another thing that must be said, is that we have not "hammered" the system to maybe that's why is has given such long service.
Although the original price was near to £400, I have since seen the same unit going on Ebay from around £50. The prices have come right down on these units now.
Facilities:
The two speakers have two sets of cables, one (twin) set for standard stereo and another (quad) set...

Aiwa NSX-V400 Mini Sound System - Great buy
Advantages: Price, sound quality
Disadvantages: None
...Aiwa NSX-V400 Mini Music System
I bought this system just over a year ago and I am all praises.
At PDS135.00, at the time, it was a great deal. Prices for this model or the equivalent new model are probably cheaper now.
This one has a single CD player but I could have got almost the identical model with 3 CD player for about PDS50.00 more.
It also has a double cassette player with continuous play, FM/MW/LW digital radio, 70 Watt speakers (although I was disappointed that these we’re made in the Czech Republic instead of Japan), Surround system, 4 preset graphic equalizer and a host of other specs.
The sound quality and output are very good. Do you really want other models and brands, which give you unusable amount of watts per channel, if you’re using it at home? Would you ever use this maximum output? Well...

Delonghi HS20/2 - a cheap and cheerful convection heater
Advantages: relatively cheap, little noise, instant warming
Disadvantages: only 1 dial, slightly burning smell on starting
...With the winter drawing in I decided to buy one of these heaters to save myself some money over the escalating gas prices by not using central heating. For about £25 one can choose between a mid-range fan heater, a low-range convection heater, or a very-very-low-range oil filled heater. So I choose the Delonghi HS20/2 - a convection heater and I am not disappointed. I will be analysing the advantages and disadvantages of each of the above later on.
BASICS
The HS20/2 is a convection heater. This means that it works by having a coil in the centre which heats up. As the air is heated it gets less weight and rises, sucking in colder air from below. This results in a convection flow (if you remember your GCSCE physics!). The theoretical advantages are that these heaters starts warming up very quickly, and they will be very quiet as no...

HS820 V3 SPECIAL EDITION BLUETOOTH HEADSET
Advantages: Light weight and easy to use
Disadvantages: durabillity may be a question but don't be put off
...Hi all
The best companion for the Motorola V3 by far has to be the Motorola HS820.
As I do a lot of travelling spending most of my time on the road it is essential that I have very good hands free communications. I purchased the HS820 from eBay for just over £21 a snip as they are currently retailing in the shops at anything up to £70. The seller though got his as part of his contract but didn't drive so was of no use to him. Lucky me though.
THE DEVICE ITSELF.
It is both compact and stylish and extremely light weight. It has a reversible ear piece for both left and right use and unlike some other Bluetooth headsets on the market sits comfortably and stably next to the ear for perfect reception. It has three function buttons when worn the top and bottom buttons control the volume the centre button is for placing and receiving...

Ace Aiwa
Advantages: Sound quality, value for money.
Disadvantages: Only single tape deck and single Cd player.
...Having previously owned a Phillips micro system which was very poor I was looking to Aiwa for a vast improvement. That is what I found when I bought one of their mid-range micro systems.
The system contains a single tape deck, single CD and 3 band digital tuner.
The range of features on it are wide and useful, while not being overcomplicated. The sound quality is excellent, at all levels. The powered sub-woofers on the speakers allow revenge on any annoying neighbours!
The system is also very reliable. I have owned it over a year now and have experience no problems, as opposed to with my previous Phillips system which was fixed 3 times in its first year....
