Aiwa NSX-V400 Mini Sound System - Great buy

Advantages: Price, sound quality
Disadvantages: None

...Aiwa NSX-V400 Mini Music System I bought this system just over a year ago and I am all praises. At PDS135.00, at the time, it was a great deal. Prices for this model or the equivalent new model are probably cheaper now. This one has a single CD player but I could have got almost the identical model with 3 CD player for about PDS50.00 more. It also has a double cassette player with continuous play, FM/MW/LW digital radio, 70 Watt speakers (although I was disappointed that these we’re made in the Czech Republic instead of Japan), Surround system, 4 preset graphic equalizer and a host of other specs. The sound quality and output are very good. Do you really want other models and brands, which give you unusable amount of watts per channel, if you’re using it at home? Would you ever use this maximum output? Well...

Review of Aiwa - Aiwa

Aiwa NSX-V70 Stereo System.

Advantages: Good tone quality, good tape recording quality
Disadvantages: Needs longer leads on speakers - needs frequent CD lens cleaning

...1995 seems like a long time ago but that's when we bought our Aiwa NSX-V70 from Comets and, although I am aware that others seem to have given this stereo system bad reviews, we have found ours to be really excellent. Maybe it's something to do with acoustics but we find the tone very rich, particularly on its equalizer settings - I purchased a couple of phono leads and connected to our nicam Sony VCR and/or DVD player. Another thing that must be said, is that we have not "hammered" the system to maybe that's why is has given such long service. Although the original price was near to £400, I have since seen the same unit going on Ebay from around £50. The prices have come right down on these units now. Facilities: The two speakers have two sets of cables, one (twin) set for standard stereo and another (quad) set...

It's Creative with speakers!

Advantages: Tiny, FM radio, voice recorder, speaker
Disadvantages: Quite some, read the review

...I never had a great respect for Creative?s audio quality, in a sense they are know to have at best ?above average? and normally ?average? audio quality. None of their audio products has ever reached, forget about over running, the standard set out by the best up there. This new Creative ZEN Stone Plus is no exception only that you get a speaker system, whose sound quality is not more than what you can expect from speaker so tiny, as a bonus and only that. The Upgrade to Creative Zen Stone plus, keeping the same price tag with upgraded accessories without charges. Providing silicon skin and detachable clip for the skin plus the standard ear-bud, instructions and of course the USB cable. I thought it was an inch from the Shuffle and Clip. The skin is a quality one providing openings for USB cable and the speaker. The new Zen Stone...

Ace Aiwa

Advantages: Sound quality, value for money.
Disadvantages: Only single tape deck and single Cd player.

...Having previously owned a Phillips micro system which was very poor I was looking to Aiwa for a vast improvement. That is what I found when I bought one of their mid-range micro systems. The system contains a single tape deck, single CD and 3 band digital tuner. The range of features on it are wide and useful, while not being overcomplicated. The sound quality is excellent, at all levels. The powered sub-woofers on the speakers allow revenge on any annoying neighbours! The system is also very reliable. I have owned it over a year now and have experience no problems, as opposed to with my previous Phillips system which was fixed 3 times in its first year....

Great HiFi for a great price - the Aiwa LCX-150

Advantages: Great features, reliable, good speakers and remote...
Disadvantages: None

...if the system is damaged during the set amount of time (I'm almost sure it was 1 year), and it has not been tampered with, then if you have proof of purchase you can get the unit repaired for free. Enough about the purchase, let's move on to have a look at what the system has to offer. WHAT DO YOU GET FOR YOUR MONEY? In terms of hardware, the Aiwa LCX-150 package includes the system itself, allowing you to play CDs and cassettes as well as listen to the radio. Also included are two speakers, described later, a remote control, an FM radio antenna, a MW/LW radio antenna and paperwork including a manual, warranty info etc. FEATURES I will list the features under four main category headings, which will be marked with an asterix (*). *Playing a CD* Obviously this compact disc stereo system will allow you to play CDs, this...

Speakers Corner - The Real Thing

Advantages: a British institution
Disadvantages: not as good as it used to be

...Does everybody who uses the words 'Speakers Corner' (from now on SC) know what they're talking about? That this is really a location: the north eastern corner of Hyde Park, near Marble Arch, London, UK? The words have left the location, aren't only the name of a place any more, they have become a term and are now used worldwide to describe . . . what actually? Certainly politicians in Singapore hadn't studied the subject closely when they decided to allow a SC on September 1, 2000. According to Reuters news agency: "The Singapore government announced it would launch the forum because it wanted greater public involvement, conducted in a 'mature, non-agitated way.'...Speakers must register for a permit and speeches may be recorded by the police . . . The police department said before the corner's opening that uniformed officers...

-Philps desktop speakers-

Advantages: Includes mini amplifier and bass boost
Disadvantages: quite chunky

...I got these speaker is 2004 and they are still going strong. I have taken them on holiday, to school and they are now my computer speakers. They can be used about every where. Amazing peice of kit. ( been half way around the world) Hardley dented at all. Unlike normal computer speakers or portable speakers these include a small amplifier with the volume control and added "bass boost " controls. This is really great as the speakers can be on another shelf and the amplifier can be on your desk so you can control them without moving all the time. -The speakers- The speakers are really great quality and can deliver a vast range of tones easily. Although they are maybe just a little too big to be taken on holiday in hand luggage (they could be) they are still great. They are silver in colour and have light blue mesh over the speaker...

Put Your Trust In These Speakers!

Advantages: Audio Quality, Price, Remote Control, Good Bass
Disadvantages: None Really.

...I had borrowed my fiancés expensive / 100 watt speakers for my computer in the living room whilst he used some small PC speakers and his headphones on his computer upstairs as we are partial to having guests over and it's nice to have decent speakers to play music on whilst they're here. I also like to have music on when we are doing housework as I feel that it makes it less of a chore when you have some music to keep you going. However, after a few months he asked for them back, and to be honest once I'd bought my new desk, there just wasn't enough room and they didn't match in terms of their style either. I was faced with a problem, in that I still wanted decent speakers that had a decent volume to them (without it being a problem for my neighbours of course, especially as one of those neighbours just happens to be my dad); but I...

Aiwa XP MP3 A REALLY Good Buy

Advantages: Sturdy, cheap, feature-filled.
Disadvantages: Burns through batteries, but all these things do.

...the real world. Eventually I found a store that had both of them, and at a price for cheaper than both of them, the Aiwa XP MP3. The Aiwa XP MP3 portable MP3 player looked like it had all the features I wanted. Anti-skip protection, it reads the filenames off of the disc, plays both audio CDs and MP3 discs. I wasn't asking for much, just that it work, and it play all the stuff that I had, which it does perfectly, and at 12000 yen ($93.75 at the exchange rate back then, now it'd be around $88.89.) it was a steal, considering the TDK Mojo was going for $130, plus shipping and tax. This thing has been great. I have had no problems with it so far, except for the fact that I can't figure out how to make it shuffle the MP3 tracks. I know there's a way to do it, I just haven't figured it out yet, and the manuals aren't in English/I've thrown...

The revolution will not be televised - XMI X-mini II Mini speaker

Advantages: Great sound, bargain price, sleek look.
Disadvantages: The kids listening to happy hardcore at the back of the bus might find out.

...Revolutions: they aren?t usually very good, are they? Big promises by ego-crazed dictators, resulting in the butcher of millions of innocents. No, I?m not a massive fan of revolutions, so I was sceptical when the X-mini arrived on my doorstep, promising ?audio revolution in a box?. On the back, the big promises continued: ?Delivering on the promise of ?sound beyond size?, the X-mini II capsule speaker is petite in size but massive in sound?. By this point I was becoming very suspicious. The look of the thing worried me a little too. Not because it looks bad - it has a very slick look; the vivid red of the speaker poking out from the round, black casing like some demented 8-ball. It?s also very small, which is obviously handy. It?ll easily fit in your back pocket. The packaging too is very attractive (although if you lose sleep over...
