The meter is swift and reliable, producing results that are frequently bettered by knowledge of the manual mode and histogram, but nevertheless excellent. Review of Canon EOS 450D

Canon EOS 450D - Superb!

Advantages: Extremely easy to use, fantastic picture quality, long battery life.
Disadvantages: I haven't found any!

...Introduction I bought the Canon EOS 450D a couple of months ago as my first SLR - and i can honestly say its an absolute pleasure to use. For someone like me who is a total novice in photography terms (but very willing to learn!) this camera is superb. Ease of use My friend and I researched SLR cameras for hours to try to find a camera for me. I can only be described as a beginner but I wanted to take the plunge and do some 'real' photography. The EOS 450D seemed to have everything I was looking for - and it is everything I was looking for. It is a very light, yet sturdy camera that fits comfortably in my hands. The large LCD screen is very sharp which is especially useful when you are trying to change settings, and i was surprised by how quickly i learned what all of the buttons did and also how quickly i was able to take a half decent...

CANON 450D

Advantages: TOO MANY TO MENTION
Disadvantages: NONE

...Excellent picture quality, especially regarding the colour reproduction. The 450d's ease of use enhances the overall quality of the product. User defined functions are simple to set and use. The software supplied with the camera provides brilliant and simple guidance and manipulation of photographs can be made easily, if required. This software also compares well with professional software, certainly for beginners to digital photography. The price, which has been dropping since its launch, has always meant good value. But of course, that value, at current prices, is second to none. An added advantage is that all of my old Canon lenses can also be used. Add a good flash gun and you will have all you need for great photography. The best camera I have ever owned....

AKG K77 Wired Headphones

Advantages: Great sound quality and very comfortable.
Disadvantages: Fairly loose if you have a small head!

...I recieved these headphones for christmas this year and was very pleased. I have owned other AKG products before so I was hoping they would live up to my expectations. The quality of these headphones was very good and I was very pleased with the look of them. The sound quality was also very good as the bass realy comes through welland the sound is crystal clear. They are very comfortable and can be adjusted perfectly. My only complaint would be that they feel a little loose and fall of quite easily if you shake your head too much. Being closed back, while you are listening to music or something, there is virtualy no sound escaping for other people to hear. The support that you get from the company is very good as you can ask them anything via email. Overall, the headphones are very good for the ammount you will pay in most shops...

Review of AKG K77

AKG Hearo 787 headphones

Advantages: signal quality, logic 7 decoder, comfortable and fairly nice to look at too
Disadvantages: cost

.... Of course you don't have to use logic 7, theres also prologic and stereo decoders too, but who would when you have logic 7!! They're also very comfortable, with an auto adjusting headband they don't slip off as you walk around. The battery life is excellent, easily coping with a couple of movies and more; its very easy to keep them topped up as they charge when you place them back in the cradle. In todays world of wireless this and wireless that, its easy to find 2 devices that interfere with each others signals; the AKG easily copes with this, with a convenient channel selector button on the headphones themselves. Perhaps the only real disadvantage of this system is that it is on the pricey side, so you would have to be a complete audio-obsessive to get them....

SRM450 - Right on the money

Advantages: Very versitile, sounds good
Disadvantages: Some may find it heavy

...The Mackie SRM450 is an extremely versatile speaker. It has the advantage of built in amplifiers, together with thermal and overload protection. I run a hire firm, pa2hire.co.uk, and we like these for several reasons - for one, they are difficult to damage, you can't overdrive them very easily as the limiter kicks in. Secondly, they have excellent sonic characteristics. We also use d&b Q7 and HK concert touring (contour) speakers, these are far more expensive, but the Mackie SRM450's stand up surprisingly well - especially at moderate volumes. The more expensive speakers sound a little more hi fidelity, but you certainly pay for this. The dispersion pattern is wide, and very even. There is no tendency for beaming (high directionality at high frequencies). Of course the other nice thing is you can use these as powered monitors...

After owning the Samsung LE22B450 for just under 6 months if now presented with the choice between any other manufacturer I would automatically seek out the Samsung equivalent due to my experiences with this television. Needing a small television that could sit comfortably on my dressing table I opted for the 22 inch LCD, the deciding factor being price at only £199.99 for a high specification LCD screen that has a plethora of features and the ability via the HDMI port to act as a larger screen for my computer.
