AKG K240 Studio Headphones
Review of AKG K 240 DF by
Gumbeh
Advantages: Typical AKG bulid quality - sturdy, comfortable and brilliant sounding
Disadvantages: None that i can think of...
...Essentially the same as the old K240 DF's that I replaced, these are another high quality example of AKG's offerings. Sound quality is as excellent as ever.
...Sound...
These are very versatile headphones as the sound reproduction is very good - as useful at home as they are in the studio. They have a good MF and HF range, good LF but can be a bit lacking sometimes - compared to the old 240DF's I had anyway. I use them at work sometimes for sound checks and they have always been pretty reliable.
...Durability...
They've been dropped, contorted and ran over; they still work as well as ever. Reasonably thick, sturdy cable which not only avoids getting tangled up with itself unlike smaller cables, but also helps to prevent damage from twisting, cutting etc.
...Comfort...
This was one of the main reasons I bought the newer...

Comfortable, Cheap, Does the Job.
Review of AKG K 44 by
cs94njw
Advantages: Comfortable, long lead, self-adjusting head band. NOT Earphones.
Disadvantages: Not sound-proof - can sometimes hear sound around you.
...Technical details:
Type: closed-back, supraaural dynamic headphones
Sensitivity: 115 dB SPL/V
Frequency range: 18 to 20,000 Hz
Rated impedance: 32 ohms
THD: <1 %
Max. input power: 200 mW
Cable: single cable, approx. 2.5 m (8 ft. 3 in.)
Connector: stereo mini jack
Adapter: mini to 1/4" adapter jack
Net weight (without cable): 190 g (6.7 oz)
Opinion:
I hate earphones. I hate the way you have to wedge them into your ear, you're constantly worried whether they'll fall out, and they're about as comfortable as sticking gravel in your ear.
I wanted a cheap pair of *head*phones, that were comfortable, stereo, and if possible from a good manufacturer.
The AKG-44s have been exactly what I'm after. The speaker bits are surrounded by a soft leathery cushion - no rough edges, comfortable, and I feel...

Sony Ericsson K800i... UPDATED 10/01/07!!!
Review of Sony Ericsson K800i Cyber-shot by
ultrafrosty
Advantages: SUPERB 3 MEGA PIXEL CAMERA, MP3 PLAYER AND LOTS MORE!!!
Disadvantages: THAT BLOODY PIECE OF SH*T ANNOYING INTERNET BUTTON!!!
...*** PLEASE NOTE: This review first appeared on www.dooyoo.co.uk under my dooyoo alias of dlb74 ***
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Having recently renewed my contract with Orange (who I was going to leave following a pretty shoddy first year of contract until they went all Marlon Brando in 'The Godfather' on me… No… They didn't have me wake up to a horse's head in my bed! They simply gave me an offer I couldn't refuse…) upgraded my mobile phone from the Sony Ericsson W800i which had been fairly problematic at times to the Sony Ericsson K800i.
It's a phone that I quite liked the look of but the fact that it features a 3.2 mega pixel digital camera was something that I loved the thought of - having had a 2 mega pixel camera on the W800i that gave some pretty good results, I thought moving up...

A good pair of decent headphones
Review of AKG K55 by
kittens1980
Advantages: Great price, good quality
Disadvantages: Not quite as detailed as a professional pair - although this is to be expected!
...I consider these headphones to be excellent value for money. While not quite as good quality as AKG's high-end headphones, these are nevertheless an excellent pair of basic decent headphones for what you pay for them.
I bought these for both listening for pleasure and for recording rough demos in the studio, and have found them very suitable for both.
The closed back means they are suitable for studio recording - I have experienced very little leakage - and I find the sound quality is very good - although as you might expect, not as detailed as the more expensive headphones - with an even balance across treble and bass.
They are lightweight and fit comfortably [again, not quite as closely and snugly as a pair that you might pay £90 for, but very well considering the price].
All in all, a useful pair of everyday headphones...

Sony Ericsson K800i - Almost perfect
Review of Sony Ericsson K800i Cyber-shot by
davross_uk
Advantages: Great Camera, Very good screen, MP3 support
Disadvantages: Stability issues
...tuner which works using the headphones as an antenna.
- Memory Card Slot. The K800i has a card slot for Sony Memory Stick Micro M2 Cards (not included). If you planning to take loads of photos and have a large MP3 collection a 1GB card is a good addition to the 64mb of integrated storage. Especially handy for long trips.
- Screen. The phone has a QVGA (320x240 pixels) screen and it produces a very bright and sharp picture which is good for playing games and viewing your photo's.
- Games. There are loads of K800i games available and most that I have look and play great and the thumb control works very well with them. For anyone that likes space shootem-up/RPG games I highly recommend Galaxy On Fire.
- Video playback. I encoded a few movies to the 3gp format that the phone supports and was blown away by the video playback...

Advantages: It has just about all features you could want a phone to have
Disadvantages: bigger than your average phone, internet quick link button on the front
...and it should take you to that section of the review.
a1.3 - Introduction to K800i
The K800i, released by Sony Ericsson in 2006 is one of the best camera phones out there, it has just about every feature possible to a phone, from infrared, to blue tooth, to video messaging, the phone is very exciting and a good all rounder. It is stylish, comes in 1 of 3 different colours and has a very good battery life, as for the ins and outs? I go more into depth about the phone below =)

The IBM ThinkPad 240 - A sub-£200 gem?
Review of ThinkPad 240 C 300 MHz - 10.4" TFT by
mattyprice4004
Advantages: Small size, Lights, Looks smart!
Disadvantages: Some say it looks bland, Small size limits functionality
...Watching the ICT market depresses me. Only a couple of short years ago I invested in the biggest desktop hard disk drive I could ever find - A roomy 120GB Seagate. Now we are up to 750GB, yet these cost only half of what I paid for my drive.
The same is the story with the ThinkPad 240 - I remember when these were £1,699 brand new. Luckily I never bought one new, but I did receive one second hand a few months ago.
This is probably my first review where I have a few serious issues with a product, as the 240 did leave a lot to be desired.
But let's start with what's good. The first thing that will attract a lot of potential buyers to this laptop is it's diminutive size. It truly is amazing how IBM have managed to squeeze a full laptop into such a small case. The screen has a resolution of 800x600 pixels, which is enough for office...

K800i - A new wonder of the world?
Review of Sony Ericsson K800i Cyber-shot by
hes_quadraphonic
Advantages: 3.2mp Camera with autofocus, quality feel, looks, battery
Disadvantages: Not Smartphone, No Memory card
...), simply by falling out of the poket and has succesfully survived the drop test, not even the back cover came off. I think the first thing to break will be the navigation joystick, simply because it feels the cheapest thing on the phone. I think they could have made that better, perhaps coated it in the textured plastic stuff the rest of the phone has, as the joystick does have a rough feel to it.
----------Screen----------
This is one of the best features about this phone. Its a 262K colour display, working with a resolution of 240x320. It's incredibly bright and clear, one of the clearest i've seen, and adequetly displays everything it needs too. It makes photo viewing and indeed photo taking(the camera uses the screen as a view finder) a pleasure. The backlight is excellent, and theres no shining light along the bottom of the screen like...
