Honda CRF250r Review
Advantages: Reliable, Fast, Easy to work on
Disadvantages: Price, Common
...Hello, My name is Sam Brown, I have been riding off road since the young age of 6, I am now 16 and I ride every weekend and am an experienced rider.
I started off riding quad bikes but very soon made my way onto motorbikes, and now I currently own a Honda CRF250r and I love it! I've rode big road bikes and I can honestly say the CRF will keep up with them on the corners fairly easily and it will accelerate past any road 250 on the straight. Honda are well know for their reliability and the CRF250r is no exception, I have owned mine for just over 1year and I can say its probably not had the easiest life screaming at the start gate of a race or slamming to the ground off a jump, but it has never gone wrong, I change the oil every three rides and the same with the oil filter and air filter and she's never missed a beat.
I stepped up...

Honda 250 K4 1972
Advantages: Euphoria of 70's feelings + the250 K4
Disadvantages: Being put in hospital from crashing it !!
...My old man bought it brand spanking new in 1972, at the time I was 12 years old. I used to stare at it and dribble, I loved the thing, he used to take me on the back, and I thought it was the fastest thing on earth.
After finnishing with school in 76 I got my first legal moped, (that was a hot year !) and learned a bit about driving on the road. At 17 I was finaly old enough to ride a 250. (the law was a bit easier in them days) . The only 250 I wanted was the K4, and my tight old man (like me now) sold it to me for £200 , a fortune then , but what the hell "it was mine".
The first day I had it I did about 150 miles of pure heavenly riding, The riding position was good, it had 32 BHP between your legs and was a pure pleasure to ride. Any excuse for a ride out was good enough for me. (had relatives in yorkshire... can I visit...

Honda CMX 250 Rebel
Advantages: CMX 250 Rebel has a hard working well proven economical engine.
Disadvantages: Check for broken or loose wheel spokes and suspension joints.
...Hey, this is a great little bike ! The Honda CMX250 Rebel.
Maybe I am a bit of a rebel myself, but I bought it new and kept ;it in lovely condition and enjoyed many 'retired miles' clearing over 100 miles per gallon; obviously not driving the air-cooled engine at it's maximum of 70, but at 60 it put up a good road holding performance.
The CMX250 is a strong engine and has been around for a long time.
On longer runs (over 150 miles) my legs could have done with forward pegs, so I raised the seat 3 inches to make a more comfortable position for my frame. With no centre stand, the side stand made cleaning a little hard to get at on that side, but a purpose full wood block raised the bike for cleaning and detail work.
The only trouble in two and a half years of ownership was breaking rear wheel spokes during a long run to the north...

Honda Hornet 250-The Original Hornet
Advantages: Cheap to insure, pretty nippy, rarity value
Disadvantages: Rare! Parts hard to find, costly if you find them!
...What can I say? The 250cc Honda Hornet was the first of the Hornet range although nobody seems to know it! Many have never heard of it, or say "Sorry, 250? Never knew they made one." when you tell them as it's a Japanese domestic model, and never imported to the UK officially. It was demand for these 250 models that made Honda think there was a market in the rest of the World for these funky streetfighter bikes with their fat tyres (even on the 250 it's a 180x55/17 back tyre)and they decided to produce the 600cc version, and then the 900cc one, but they're different stories!
The thing that appealed to me most was that the insurance was so much cheaper than for the 600cc version, and the bikes are virtually identical apart from the engine. Many parts are shared by the two bikes but it's the ones that aren't shared that are hard to...

ATS - Exhaustingly Good
Advantages: Fast Service, Courteous Service
Disadvantages: Garages will differ around the UK
...**Please note the following ATS-Euromaster review is based around the service and products received from the ATS Garage in Newbury, Berkshire.**
*Personal Background*
Earlier on this week I noticed my exhaust was producing a rather unique sounding boy racer noise, complete with a slight rattling of my exhaust box, so decided immediate action was required as I was due in Cardiff the following day. I decided to take my Citroen Saxo (51 reg.) to the local Kick Fit dealers as they had always provided a reputable service in the past, however after an initial free inspection they advised me that I required 3 new parts for my exhaust, an Intermediate Pipe, an Intermediate Silencer Box and a Rear Silencer Box.
However after consulting their catalogue of parts I was told the intermediate parts I needed were not obtainable from their...

More power than you'd expect from a 250
Advantages: Economic on petrol, handled well on and off road, lots of power!
Disadvantages: You'll have to look to find one
...In the history of Honda, I'd say 1972 was a very good year. In the old gold/black colour scheme, Honda brought out a 250 K4, a bike that packed quite a lot of power for it's cc's. My ex-husband and I had one.
It was no lightweight, being equally as heavy as some other makers 650's and 750's, but was excellent on manouverability and it had some power.
In my youth (she says) ... we managed to get 104mph going down the Kings Lynn bypass, with two up. That bike sure had more power than you would have expected!
It was excellent on petrol, and we did most of the mechanics on it ourselves - guided by one of those manuals with the step-by-step instructions.
There are some of these still about, old "L" reg dinosaurs now but I wouldn't mind betting that with a bit of tlc they could once more be a king of the road.

cr250r track supremacy !!!
Advantages: great fun.very fast.easy to maintain.
Disadvantages: regular top end rebuilds.
...this bike is a really good machine personally this is all i have to say about this great bike !! In stock form the bike is geared way too tall. The fix is to change the rear sprocket to a 50 tooth which tightens the gearing making the bike hit with a ferocious punch. Other than that I have no squawks about the bike. I have ridden YZ, RM, KX, 250's on track and they all are almost identical on lap times but with the CR I was 2 to 3 seconds faster from the great handling and suspension. The other brands are alright but i have always put my trust in honda and it has never let me down yet !! this bike can get you into some scary positions for an inexperienced rider but that also makes it a lot of fun for the experienced rider like me ! i wouldnt advise a learner or fresh rider to buy one of these bikes they can require a lot of maintenance...

#250? - Overrated!
Advantages: Acknowledge I've overrated, at ease, I use a strong range of scores
Disadvantages: GameFAQS top ten list quality filler - I'm only really doing this for 30CP
...I'm not a fan of top whatever lists, and I loathe the term "overrated" as I find it to be overused (although it springs to mind when I am on sites like this). For my 250th review (or not-really-a-review) however, I decided to compile a top ten list of products that I've reviewed which I felt I have overrated, and contemplated taking a star off the rating. There have been reviews that I've gone back to and changed the rating - these would be next in line, though my laziness means I might never get round to these.
10. Metallica - Ride The Lightning.
Production values aside, the second half of this album is average compared to the first - I wouldn't classify Ride The Lightning as a consistent, and thus not a classic, album.
****
9. Valkyrie Profile for PlayStation.
More from the dungeons and towns (and maybe even the endings) would not...

Honda CRX
Advantages: The whole car
Disadvantages: None
...Just to clear a few things up from previous review.
MK II Honda CRX is NOT a boy racer car at all. The majority of UK owned MK II's are owned by enthusiasts from the owners club and are taken complete care of regardless of cost . I spent £500 on mine just last month, no not on neon lights and a body kit. New clutch, new discs and calipers, new exhaust (Standard), CV boots and Tax. I fitted all the parts myself as Honda's labour charges are ridiculous and I don't trust anybody else
It's an excellent car though. Once you drive one you will never feel 100% driving any other car there's no experience like it. It feels like you are sat on the floor , everything is angled towards the driver. Being the first honda with independant dual wishbone point to point suspension it handles like a go-kart and was the inspiration for the entire...

HONDA JAZZ 1.4 SE CVT-7. AUTOMATICALLY BETTER?
Advantages: Great Transmission. Smooth Engine. Low Running Costs. Hugely Spacious Interior. Build Quality.
Disadvantages: Messy Dashboard Styling. Uninspiring Exterior Styling.
...range of body styles and engine options.
Having said that, the little Honda Jazz has one terrific ace up its' exhaust pipe - it consistently heads all of the customer satisfaction surveys, primarily the well respected J.D. Power one, which concentrates on reliability and owner satisfaction. This is no mean feat and an achievement of which Honda are justifiably proud.
WHICH SPECIFIC MODEL?
I have driven all three models of Jazz, the basic 1.2, the manual 1.4 and the car that I am reviewing here the 1.4 SE CVT-7. I have chosen to review, this the most expensive, top of the range Jazz, as I spent a day behind the wheel of one only last week.
The most interesting thing about this specific model is its automatic transmission. As any of you who have read my car reviews in the past will know, I have driven just about everything...
