...This review is about my time at the magnificent and luxury hotel the Burj Al Arab. I was lucky enough to spend two nights at this hotel during New Years Eve and New Years day 2008/2009. I had a friend who?s dad did a tone of import export business and thus I even managed to stay their for free, yes that?s right for free, under the condition that I paid for all my own food, and drink, which I was more than happy to at the time. Now everyone has either heard about this hotel, been their or at least seen the pictures of what it looks like, and let me tell you its even more breathtaking in real life. Total relaxation

Advantages: New resort, great place to relax

...During the August holidays, we spent a week at the Mirimar Al Aqah resort. It was a really great holiday. The staff are friendly & polite with a sense of humour. The grounds although still young, a very pretty. The pool area was always clean, as was the pool, with ample loungers, towels & shade. There is a lifeguard on duty during the day at the pool as well as on the beach. Refreshments are easy to get, as there are always waiters milling about. The rooms are comfortable and well furnished with ample wardrobe space and good sized bathrooms. Mini bar, safe, tv are all standard. A can of coke out the mini bar will cost 16 dirhams (just over £2), which is expensive, considering that it is 22 dirhams (just over £3) for a case of 24 in the supermarket. If you buy a can of coke from the bar it will cost you 14 dirhams (about £2). The heat...

...reason not to purchase it. If you havn't heard any Al Green then check him out on the youtube link at the bottom of this review, i would be surpsrised to hear from anyone that doesn't enjoy it. ...We just returned from a 5 day holiday in Marrakech. Al Moussika was our base to explore the medina and for trips to the coast and to the Atlas mountains. The riyad is a carefully and tastefully restored historical building which offers a quiet retreat after a busy day in the pulsating city. There are only 6 bedrooms and many additional sitting rooms including a well stocked library and a room with a grand piano. The weather in january was too cold to use the pool in the beautiful courtyard but we thoroughly enjoyed to relax in the hamam. Breakfast is of very good quality and the lunches were among the best meals we had in Marrakech. The personel is competent and very helpful and offers a friendly, personalized service. ...I had this monitor sent to me by Acer after my previous monitor, the AL1914 was deemed beyond repair. My first thoughts were of excitement as the 1951 was of a considderably higher spec than the old monitor. My excitement became a reality when I got the monitor set up. On opening the box, I found the monitor itself, the power supply, and both a VGA and DVI cable. The stand was already pre-fixed to the monitor and this also doubles up as a wall mounting bracket, should you wish to attach the monitor to the wall. On the back of the base there are sockets for the mains power supply, one for the VGA cable, one for the DVI cable and one for an audio feed, should you wish to make use of the monitors internal speaker. Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa, Dubai

...Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa is located approximately 60 minutes drive from Dubai International Airport. Transfers can be organised with your tour operator, but will be in two stages. The first stage is a transfer from the airport down the highway and into the desert and onto the perimeter fence of the resort - this should take no more than 45-50 minutes. Once at the perimeter of the Al Maha estate, you will pass through security and await the arrival of the hotels jeeps, who will then transport you up to the main resort, which will usually take another 15 mins or so. Despite the transfer time, particualrly after a 7 1/2 hour flight from the UK, this was not uncomfortable or irritating like some transfers can be, so I hardly noticed the time.
