...The benefits of this alarm clock I personally believe will vary from person to person. It basically is an alarm clock doubled up with a bedside lamp. The main feature of this device is it will switch its lamp on 30 mins before the alarm goes off and slowly glow to full brightness.   Forget the alarm clock!

A Ray of Sunshine.

.... The Classic Bodyclock. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * You can see by the photo that the clock has a traditional clock face. It has one of those small hands to set the alarm. I could never understand how to set the time with one hand but basically you put the hand between the two numbers ie. half past 6 would be between the 6 and the 7 hand. I have never thought that it would be stricltly accurate but it seems to be. You can see that there is a glass dome (it is actually plastic) which the light shines through. There are slits in the back which helps even more to simulate the sunlight. There is also a radio function. The clocks from outsidein on line which sells lots of Lumie products are £79. I did manage to get it a fair bit cheaper from Ebay. I bought my first one from outsidein and the postage is free from them...

Do I HAVE to get up in the morning.

Advantages: Makes me feel less like hibernating.
Disadvantages: A bit difficult to set time initially (or can`t I follow instructions?).

...I am one of these people who would be quite happy to hibernate in winter. I am not lazy, I pack a lot into my day, but come 9.30, I am ready for bed and boy, do I have trouble getting out of it. Funnily enough, when I have to get up at 5am for work, my inbuilt alarm clock wakes me up before the pneumatic drill sounding alarm. The problem is though, I am often awake every hour! The trouble I have is mainly when I have to get up at 7am to get my little boy to school and my husband is already at work. I switch the pneumatic drill off at 7am and for some reason, I can`t switch on the lamp at the same time. I don`t want to get up because it is dark, 10 minutes later I am still there. Like Christmas shopping! Whilst wandering round ASDA in Telford for a number of Christmas presents my wife drew my attention to a small but very attractive silver-coloured radio. It boasted digital tuning (it is not a DAB radio, however) and three wave bands. One AM and 2 FM. It also has a built-in alarm clock function and a dial light of a rather nice amber/orange colour. I was amazed at the price. £6.95? Surely it can't be any good for that price? It was actually remarkably good! Cockadoodledoo! no need for an Alarm clock!

Advantages: Good hotel, close to Sheffield city centre in lovely grounds
Disadvantages: May be you don't want to be woken by a cockerol

The built in wardrobe had an iron, ironing board and fan. Also a hair drier was in one drawer. The bedside table in our room also had a clock/radio and a very clever lamp with two switches, allowing one person to turn off their side of the lamp whilst the other person could have their side on. The bathroom was a good size and had nice toiletries and large bath sheets. One thing I did find strange was there was only 1 hand towel and 1 bath towel in the bathroom, so I asked at reception if we could have another set but was told it would be in the wardrobe!
