Alcatel OT-S319- Good value, simple phone
Advantages: Good value, attractive design, robust, battery life
Disadvantages: texting process, perhaps too basic
...When my mobile inexplicably and frustratingly stopped working a few months ago, I decided to purchase the Alcatel OT-S319 as a budget -buy replacement . The Alcatel phone was one of the cheapest on offer, priced at just £15 in my local argos. The handset is a small, compact and modern looking "clam-shell" design and is available in either pink or black. This is a very basic ohone with only the 'essentials' in terms of features. It provides predictive texting, 2 games, 10 ringtones, a 300 capacity address book and good range of embedded images and animations for wallpaper/screen saver displays.
Having used the phone for a while I have found to be easy to use, with good battery talktime (I usually only need to charge it twice a week) and excellent reception. It is also suprisingly robust and the hard outer case shows no signs...

Alcatel 511
Advantages: 511 - unsusual Design, durable, reliable
Disadvantages: Poor memory, and no number book
...Alcatel OneTouch 511
Popular model Alcatel One Touch 511 has a good image within the phone market. This phone also has polyphonic capabilities, and hands-free, so it is not all ordinary... at the same time it does not have an in-built phone book, which is a shame for the phone with such reputation. The front covers are made out of special aluminium, which allows the phone to be light in weight and impact-resistant.
Highly Competitive with similar models of Panasonic GD75.

Finally, Alcatel does it right on OT535
Advantages: Large color screen, complete MMS including Voice MMS, loud speakerphone
Disadvantages: Not tri-band, can't send ringtones via IR
...If Alcatel decides to put its mind and effort in creating good quality cellphone products, it can deliver the goods. Proof of these are their latest offerings, the OT535 and OT735. Both have the same look and features except that the latter has an integrated camera. Gone are the user-unfriendly days, I assure you.
I decided to buy the OT535 as a replacement to my old but reliable Nokia 8210. I chose this model after carefully comparing and actually trying it with other competitor products in its class: Nokia 3100, Samsung C100 and Siemens M55. I'm not saying that these 3 products are inferior to OT535. It's just that I find this Alcatel phone better fit to my needs. Now to my review. I will not go to the technical details and specifications as you can find them in other sites. I will just tell you the features I like on this phone...

My Supermarket Mobile
Advantages: Cheap, easy to get started, good coverage, clubcard points
Disadvantages: None so far
...So here we go again another review brought about by the fact I had to move to keep my job (long story and will be covered when I write the review of my employers when and if Ciao list them). Sadly for Orange their network doesn't cover Lydd camp - just the area outside it but no signal penerates the camp fence oddly enough.
So while on my hunt for a working network I checked the O2 website and found they claim to have full coverage across the camp, not long after this I remembered the handset and SIM I was given by the nightclub I used to work for but was on Tesco mobile. Dont worry I've not lost it, Tesco mobile and O2 are pretty much the same thing because Tesco buy the 'spare' satellite time from O2 to operate their network. Which means that while the Tesco sell the SIM's and the handsets its O2 that owns and operates...

Tesco are now Mobile...
Advantages: Reasonable cost and a straightforward range of tariffs
Disadvantages: Some underlying network problems
...Want to buy your mobile while picking up your beans? Why not go one better and have the supermarket BE the mobile network with Tesco Mobile (well almost? see below!).
When did Tesco build a mobile network?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The answer, of course, is that they didn't. The Tesco Mobile network is a 'virtual' network, similar to Virgin Mobile, in this case being carried on the O2 network. It is a joint venture between Tesco and O2. Why do these virtual networks exist? On the (physical) network operator's side they use up spare capacity while someone else picks up the marketing bill. On the (virtual) network operator's side they gain the ability to offer mobile telephony services without the need to spend (many) millions and years building a network. Here O2 effectively get access to Tesco's undoubted marketing ability...
Bob's mobile
Advantages: learns numbers
Disadvantages: noisy
...Hello!
My son has been great fan of bob the builder for quiet sometime. But as time goes - he is 6 now- he grow up from some of his baby toys. And just few days ago I have cleared his bedroom from his old and baby toys. And there was quiet some of them and in good condition so I thought that I will take them to the charity shop.
But as I was packing them his younger sister was sort of helping me. As I was putting the toys in the bag she was taking them out. And she has find bob mobile phone and started to play with it. So I can say that I have clear my boy bedroom to his sister bedroom. And I just clean it up with only few toys going to the charity shop.
Since them my little girl is waking the phone and saying: ?bob on the phone?.
I do like vetch toys but my kids love them.
the toy
The phone is shape of bob...
Alcatel 501 WAP phone
Advantages: Conctacts synchronisation, big screen, easy navigation, unique looks
Disadvantages: Build quality, unknown brand in UK (especially for higher end phones)
...Now available directly from Alcatel's web site this phone is fantastic value. Not only does it look great and is quite light, it performs like a much more expensive phone.
The five-way joystick right below the screen makes navigating around the many options a doddle. The screen is large and high definition and is superb for viewing WAP sites (yes, I am a fan despite all the detractors) as well as composing text messages.
The whole thing oozes character and is ideal for anyone looking for something a little bit different without having to pay through the nose. The ringers are a little mad but fun and you can even record your own short voice memos.
To get the best out of the phone though you really have to get the optional PC connectivity kit. OK, so it is a serial connection and thus a bit slow, but you only download your Outlook...
mobile magic
Advantages: great fun for scarlett, stimulating, visually bright, aids development
Disadvantages: the novelty will wear of, a little flimsy
...For Scarlett?s first Christmas one of the presents we got her was a mobile. She?s too young for a mobile I hear you say, yes we?ve heard that one before! Her first Christmas has coincided with us finally moving her from her moses basket to her cot, so the mobile was a good buy
DESIGN
I always thought that baby?s mobiles were quite unsophisticated things that just blew around a little, I was wrong! The mobile is a very bright eye catching concoction. It has three different animals hanging from a bright green pole that crooks at the top. Each animal is hung from a bit of string that is attached to a something that looks like a lampshade. Each of the three lampshades are the same colour as the animal and have black stripes on the underneath of the lampshade.
There is a bright green frog with big bulgy eyes and black striped legs...
Virgin Mobile
Advantages: Everything is an Advantage
Disadvantages: Naaa
...After being with virgin mobile since it first was set up in 1999 and still at this present day, I have had no problems with them at all. I first started with the Philips Savvy and then moved on to a Nokia 3310 cause I dropped water on the damn thing, but other than that I have had no problem with the operator itself.
The thing that drew me towards the idea of Virgin mobile was:
1) Cheap calls
2) Free voice mail (which you have to pay for on other operators)
3) Great savings and deals (when you buy a phone and during the time you are with them)
4) Friendly staff to help you out if some thing goes wrong or when you register.
5) Great COVERAGE (for once)
6) Different way to pay
1) Cheap calls:
The phone prices are cheap than other operators, which are always a big thing for the public, and over the last couple of years...
My first mobile, now obsolete
Advantages: ease to use
Disadvantages: too big and heavy. Obsolete.
...Hello:
I want to talk today about this mobile, not because I want to recommend a good one, but this was my first mobile and the truth is that It was one of the best mobiles by the time I got It, a few years ago now (4 or 5 years ago).
Of course this mobile is not a good one if we compared it with the nowadays ones. This mobile is not a colourful screen (I´m not sure about this word...), has no special logos or music, and the thing is that this mobile is good for calling or sending sms, but nothing more. But this is not because this mobile is a bad one, is just because is very very old (one of the firsts cheap mobiles, at least in Spain).
All this means that this alcatel mobile is really ease to use. It has, as you can see looking at the photograph above, the 0 to 9 numbers (to the phone numbers...
