Estella Hotel and Apartments Did NOT Disappoint!

Advantages: Excellent location, superb customer service levels and lovely rooms
Disadvantages: No real facilities for the disabled

...Estella Hotel Apartments is based in Limassol in Southern Cyprus where I stayed for 6 nights in late April/early May of 2009 with my cousin. The booking was made via Expedia.co.uk and worked out at approximately £200 for 2 of us sharing a twin apartment (just £100 each basically). Before I confirmed the booking through Expedia I went off and did a bit of research on the hotel to make sure I wasn?t getting something that was cockroach infested. The hotel?s website, although fairly basic in appearance, made the hotel look pleasant enough and I sent an email to the hotel asking what amenities were included in the rooms/apartments. SIESTA 1 HOTEL, ALCUDIA - 'If you like food with heads on ....'

Advantages: Family friendly, great kids club and lots of things for children to do.
Disadvantages: little food to choose from at meal times and rooms were basic

...The one and in my opinion, only main downfall to the Siesta 1 hotel as a whole was the food! There was only one restaurant to go to and it was in a pokey, tiny little room, which could only seat around 30 people at a time, meaning you were left queuing for sometimes up to fifteen minutes with hungry kids before you got to sit down and have your meal. Not to mention the choice of food to pick from was horrendous, most nights it was a choice of seafood stew or seafood paella, which on one hand is fantastic traditional food, but with small children with us ? trying to get them to eat something with heads still on it was a no-go! This was probably the only thing not catered for children as there was almost nothing fussy children, or in normal cases, any children would eat. ...offering this package on teletext, and to our surprise they had a fully inclusive holiday to Alcudia for 7 nights at the Hotel Jupiter/Saturno for £315 per person??..If a hand had appeared magically out of the telephone me and Sarah would have bitten it off, but lets just say we accepted the holiday graciously. Lagomonte Hotel, Alcudia................

Advantages: A brill place for kids and familys.............
Disadvantages: none......

...This hotel is very nice, set at the back of Alcudia away from the hustle bustle of the pubs in the centre. They have there own boating lake with an island in the middle where you can sunbathe in peace, it also has a bar on the island, this is across the road from the Hotel. There is a bridge across the lake to it. They have an outside bar and where you can get food aswell as a stage where entertainment goes on, and nearby is the outside swimming pool. There is plenty of dry and wet entertainment through the day and night. There is a very good childrens club that interacts with the self catering complex down the road The Bellvue apartments. Olivaer Apart Hotel - A good base to explore from

Advantages: Excellent value for money
Disadvantages: Basic range of facilities

...The Olivaer Apart Hotel is very reasonably priced and there are some excellent off-peak offers available. It is located just off Olivaer Platz, literally across the road from a bus stop that takes you up the Kurfurstendamm (or you can walk up) and about 5 minutes from the U-bahn at Adenaur. If you are happy getting round the city on public transport this is an excellent hotel. There are a few cafes, bars and restaurants close though not a huge selection (there is no dedicated night life area in West Berlin, you will need to try different areas each night). There is also a supermarket two doors away for water and other snacks. The rooms are quite large but had a small bathroom and are simply furnished with beds, desk, table, chairs and a wardrobe. There is also a satellite TV and mini bar and hairdryers etc can be borrowed...

...A few years back we where undecided as to where we should go for our summer hols. So I drew the short straw and off I set to the travel agents. The girl in Thomas Cook was very helpful, and suggested Majorca, we had never been there before and she made it sound so nice I decided this was to be our destination. She recommended the Bellevue apartments in Alcudia, from the brochure these apartments sounded very appealing, 3 star, up to eight swimming pools to chose from, plenty of entertainment they sounded right for a family of four. Our flight from Belfast was at midnight, which really gets the hols of to a good start (I don't think so!) especially after a 2 hour delay, but anyway. ...Lagotel Hotel- Alcudia, Majorca Flight 2 hours from Cardiff to Palma, with first choice passed by quickly thank-goodness not a flyer! Transfer This took approx 50 minutes. Resort On arrival check-in was efficient and staff polite but a little stern looking. The hotel is outside Alcudia in Playa De Muro but the buses are regular and cheap to the strip. The hotel as a courtesy bus to the beach, which is lovely, shallow and white sand and ample sun beds and umbrellas. Hotel On arrival check-in was efficient and staff polite but a little stern looking. Lobby was quite spacious with ample seating and also Internet facilities, with Reps desks at the end. Alcudia the holiday resort!

Advantages: Good weather, nice beach
Disadvantages: smells bad at night, quite crowded

...at the beach from peddle boats (with slides on the back) to banana boating. They had other boat trips too. The beach is full of sunbeds with straw parasols over them. If you take one men come round trying to sell coconuts. On another day we were told there was a market in the town which was a 45 minute walk from our hotel (lagamonte), or a 10 minute bus journey. The bus however is always packed on market days, so we decided to walk. The town has a little more majorca culture than Alcudia resort. A wall goes around it, which we walked along. Inside the town the market was huge, it mainly sells leather goods, like handbags and belts. We also found the local supermarket here and the prices were a lot cheaper than on the resort. To one side of the town we found the local bull ring, which is free to enter when there are no events. Events...

Bellevue apartments

...I have to be honest when me and and my boyfriend booked to stay at the bellevue apartments on the 26th of august 02 (selfcatering), located in pueto de alcudia, it sonded to good to be true. We wanted a place that provided lots of things for children because we were taking my then five year old son and my ten year old niece. Between what the brochures said, the travel agents and friends who had been there,this place sounded amazing. When we arrived at the bellevue the first thing we noticed was the loverly gardens, our apartment (lida 1) had 3 floors. We requested before we went an apartment on a high floor so we would have a better view, so they put us on the third floor as requested. The apartment had one bedroom with a double bed, there was a single bed and double sofa bed in the living area A kitchen with a fridge...
