Alexi Murdoch - Time Without Consequence I've deviated from my normal title style this time: I haven't tried to make it long and complicated (with the intention of being funny, of course) but kept it simple. I've done this to reflect the music which I'll be talking about, and I hope you'll agree this brilliant artist, and his amazing album, deserve nothing less. From what I've read about Alexi Murdoch, he has an interesting history. A Scot, born in London but emigrated to America to attend University to study philosophy, he hasn't taken the obvious route of a musician. His accent sounds mostly English but of course this is quite hard to tell as most songs are now sung with an American accent anyway. Alexis Taverna - poor service

...With the rave reviews I had read and being the consummate 'foodie', I planned on including a dinner at Alexis Taverna during my recent trip to Greece. I emailed them one month prior to my visit to Rhodes to make a reservation, however I never received a reply. That should have been my first warning? Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54

Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.

Beegu - An Adorable Yellow Alien Lost on Earth

A true classic artist

Advantages: The best album I have listened to in years. Music that gives rise to emotion.

...Alexi Murdoch is someone I have only stumbled across in the past year or two. A couple of his tracks featured on Season 2 of Prison Break in some of the most moving scenes I have ever watched on television. Indeed, his music stayed with me that day although I didn't know who he was. In a very reflective time, I managed to track down this unknown artist and subsequently obtained his album. I don't think I have listened to any other album the same way in years. Murdoch's work is as a singer/songwriter/musician - a clear melodious voice with guitar playing. His work is thoughtful, even meloncholic in approach - easy listening yet soulful. His lyrics are insightful, the guitar playing precise. Now call me tight (no that wasn?t an invite), but I like bargains and freebies and am not ashamed to say so. My quest took me to enough sites to hire DVDs for about four months so far (with plenty to come too). My latest free DVD site also happens to be the best I have tried for several reasons (see rest of op); the site in question is Blockbuster.co.uk. Other sites that I have had free rentals from and then cancelled have all been similar, two weeks free trial with two DVD?s per time ? which in effect gives you about four free DVD?s. ...Before I bought this DVD player Id never really owned a DVD player before. I had however had and still do have a ps2 on which I used to play my DVDs. I never really went and still don’t go on this so much so I was going to sell it and buy a DVD player. In the end I decided to just keep the ps2 and to get a cheaper DVD player than I was looking for in the first place. The main reason why I wanted a new DVD instead of the one in the ps2 was so I could play divx format DVDs on it. The DVD player in a ps2 doesn’t recognise this format and scene as I have several divx movies already on disk and on my laptop to put onto disk then I wanted a DVD player that would recognise and play this format.
