I have been using them for many years - from Ni-cd's through ordinary NiMH (more of which soon!) and more recently, these Ansmann Mignon NiMH hybrid batteries which are said to provide the benefits of both ordinary 'NON rechargeable' batteries and NiMH rechargeables. Well, do they? The older Ni-cd's were our only choice for rechargeable batteries a decade or so ago and very good they were too. You charged them, plonked them into whatever you owned that was compatible, and used them until they were exhausted. ...I rarely buy Energizer batteries; although they are cheaper than Duracell they don't last as long. I put four AA Energizers into my digital camera and took 100 pictures and then downloaded them. I then did the same with Duracells and found that the Energizers were almost dead but the Duracells were only about half depleted. Duracells can be recharged, somewhat, in an appropriate charger (packaging says they can't); Energisers can?t. On Ebay a 4-pack of AA Energizer E2 cost £4.69, but Duracell Plus cost £4.99 but for 30p less money you'll get 40-50% less usage. Recommendation: Use Energizer batteries only in things like clocks and remote control units, but buy Duracells for things like digital cameras and CD players. ...Duracell batteries do last a very, very long time. This is probably a somewhat rare example of a product doing what the advert says it does! Last for ages longer than any normal battery! But that is, of course, a point to consider. Duracell lasts much longer than an ordinary battery, but does it last much longer than other Alkaline batteries made by other equally reputable firms for a little less money? Perhaps not. However, for the jobs that I need good, dependable batteries for, I tend to only use Duracell, because it is not worth taking the chance of embarrassing battery failure, is it? And I have to say that I have never had premature battery failure with a set of Duracells. And for some applications, rechargeable batteries are unsuitable. ...I bought a pack of these four AA Duracell Long Lasting Power batteries from Asda, and they set me back £2.85. I thought that this was a reasonable prce for batteries that will work many appliances around the home. The most I have seen these batteries for is around £3.60. I do think I got a deal for these four batteries. I have seen batteries from other manufacturers, and supermarket's own brands. I think that Duracell are a good brand and I have noticed that these batteries have longer life than other brands that I have used like supermarket brands, to see if there was any difference. ...Hi today I will be reviewing Energizer AA 2500 mAh Rechargeable Batteries. Price You can buy these from Amazon for cheapest £7.05 I got them for £10 from B&Q and I got a charger as well. Life I recommend fully charging these for first time use. I put them on for a day. From the full charge I managed to get a week use out of them. I use them in my Xbox 360 Controllers which are used by me and my brothers so they were on for most of the week. Charge While using the official charger for this product it takes around 6 hours to charge fully (Overnight).
