...I recently went on a cultural girlie trip with a friend to Paris. I was left to do all the booking. I was looking for a reasonable hotel, near a metro stop, which included breakfast. I came across the Hotel International on various travel sites and it seemed fairly highly rated so I booked us in for three nights. LOCATION: The hotel is located 6 Rue Auguste Barbier in the 11th Arrondissement. The nearest Metro stop is Garcourt which was a two minute walk away and it was a five minute walk to Republique which gives good links to other lines. It's not really central enough to avoid the Metro and walk to the attractions but it was located so close to a stop that it seemed ideal. PRICE: Prices vary depending on size of room and season. There are singles, doubles and triples available. We paid Euro254 for the whole time...

Review of Hotel International, Paris

All this from a Hotel?!

Advantages: Everything you need under one roof.
Disadvantages: Can prove to be very expensive.

...I apologise in advance for the length of this review but the Hilton at Coylumbridge really has so much to offer I didn't want to leave anything out!! Having heard a lot of good reports about the Hilton Coylumbridge just outside Aviemore, we have been trying for a few years now to stay there. The Hilton at Coylumbridge is well known for being a very good hotel for families, with lots to offer the kids. When our kids were younger we often tried to stay there but we either couldn?t get the dates we were looking for, as it is usually fully booked, or we just couldn?t get a price package to suit. This year however we were lucky. We managed to get the dates we were looking for (having learned my lesson I booked 5 months in advance) and we also managed to pay for almost all of our weekend stay with our Tesco Clubcard vouchers...

All stars, no service!

Advantages: Staying on the Disney estate
Disadvantages: Pricey and Crouded

...Every year millions of people decide to travel to the sunny state of Florida with the primary reason to visit the mouse! So naturally there are many hotels to choose from and the Disney company offer a wide range of hotels with prices ranging from budget (their word not mine) to ridiculously expensive (my words!) The cheapest option of the Disney hotels is the all star hotels. They are three hotels set on the outskirts of the Disney estate near animal kingdom and Blizzard Beach and provide a convenient point to rest your head after a long day pounding the pavements of the theme parks. You will have seen the pictures with giant guitars, footballs and film characters outside portraying the All Star Movies, Sport and Music. The prices range from around $70 a night upwards and as anyone knows you can get much cheaper outside...

Norbreck Castle Hotel

Advantages: Out of the town
Disadvantages: Too many people!

...I'm glad that I did not get to read any of the reviews before I went to this hotel, or see the Holidays from Hell programme the night before! The hotel can be found along the seafront, about three miles from the main centre of Blackpool, heading out towards Fleetwood. It is now under the Britannia hotels group and it is easily accessible by tram and bus. We used the trams the whole time instead of me driving all the time. My husband, my two youngest children and myself went last week for a couple of nights, after finding an advert which gave a special price of £35 per person dinner bed and breakfast per night. The two children were included free of charge, including their meals. The advert did state that the hotel was ungoing a £7million pound upgrade, and that some services may not be available. ...Me and my girlfriend (she's 23 & loves disney more than me!) went for a 2 week holiday in January 2007. Now we were on a budget so to find that there was a Disney budget hotel was a great find. We booked our holiday, including flights, transfers & hotel for around £500 each I think. We stayed in the Disney All Star Music Hotel. Now the whole Disney area in Orlando would cover the size of Greater Manchester, so you get an idea how big the whole place is. All the parks and hotels are surrounded by spacious, open land. Now our hotel was part of 3 all-star resorts the other two being All-Star Movies and All-Star Sports. All three hotels are 3 floors, decorated colourfully and uniquely with huge figures relating to the theme (i.e. we had a 40ft drum set outside our little hotel buiding). Eat like an elephant, feel like an All Star

Advantages: Disney branding entertains the kids, staff very helpful, immaculately clean.
Disadvantages: Food is dreadful, complex prices are extortionate. Minimal room facilities.

With all the forced staff joviality (although in Disney they are "Cast Members") and their "The customer is always right" stance you will find yourself swinging between intense irritation at the incessant "Have a Nice Day" attitude and elation at a willing staff who will do anything to make you happy. The All Star Complex is split into three sections, Sports, Music and Movies. Each complex is entirely separate from the other yet has the same array of facilities. On our first trip we stayed at the Movies complex. Our reason for this is that All Star Movies is the most distinctively Disney branded of the three hotels on offer. Great hotel

Advantages: lovely rooms, nice food and fab facilities

...I recently stayed overnight at the chine hotel in Bournemouth whilst in the area for a friends wedding. It is currently rated as a three star hotel, but I cannot for the life of me see why as I found it to be of at least four star standard. There are 86 rooms, all of which incorporate an en suite bathroom and are decorated to a decent standard. All rooms include a hair dryer, trouser press, direct dial telephone, satellite television (selected channels only) and the complementary tray of tea, coffee and biscuits. There are four types of rooms available in relation to the view they offer the guests. The basic room is an inland room, then there is a garden facing room and finally the sea views and sea views with balcony (the prices are slightly higher for these). Fantastic Hotel

Advantages: Fantastic Food
Disadvantages: Lifts are quite small

...When we decided to make a return trip to Benalmedina we opted to go to the four star Hotel Las Arenas as it was recommended by friends. It is slightly further out just opposite the Castle Bill Bill and when you cross the road it?s a flat walk all the way to the marina which is away from the large hills on which many of the other hotels are located. Reception On arrival check in was swift and at this time we opted to pay for a safety deposit box we were then handed the safe key and card key to room 524 and pointed in the direction of the lifts. On looking round reception it was laid out with tables and chairs and also had a grand piano, a small bar ,toilets and computers with internet access. There is a large board telling you about entertainment available during the day and at night. The whole area was laid out for wheelchair access...

...****Sachas hotel- Manchester**** I booked this hotel last minute as i had a job interview in Manchester and needed somewhere quite cheap ,that was also near the centre. **Location/Getting there** This hotel is located in Tibb street which is a 2 minute walk from Piccadily Gardens or 10 minutes away from Chorlton street bus station.The Train station is a little bit further away say maybe a twenty minute walk but i don't think that this is that bad .You can also get a tram from Piccadily gardens and this goes to quite a few places.You could also get a taxi to the hotel but i am not sure what parking is like if you were to take your own car. **Reception/staff** Since i had never been to Manchester before i phoned and asked the staff for directions -they were very nice and helped me out.When i got there i think i got the same...
