...Despite not initially intending to do so, the Brooklyn-raised rapper Saigon constructed (wrote and recorded) his second album in just 24 hours, and so appropriately named the project "All In A Day's Work". With it starting off as a normal studio session, it features the production of only one producer, Statik Selektah, who pushes this 2009 album as something which fits in with what the New York rapper represents. 1. "So Cruel" To get this thing underway properly you have Statik Selektah coming with come fresh beats which appear to have taking inspiration from the diversity found in the music of the eighties. It Works for me....sometimes....!

Advantages: Cheap. Good for buying presents.
Disadvantages: Sell a lot of titles you've never heard of....

.... I love the childrens books here - there are some really good 'fun' educational books, & it's always a great place to pick a few up as presents. But there?s more to The Works than just books. They stock a good range of arts & crafts materials, from paints & canvasses to card-making paraphernalia. Both adults & kids are catered for with regards to arts & crafts. There are also quite a few toys for children, mainly smaller cheap novelty items?for when you need a ?little something? to keep them quiet, without spending too much! They do also stock more expensive branded name toys which (as with all of the stock) vary each time you visit. On my last shopping trip to The Works, I picked up a Brio babies first train set at the bargain price of £9.99 (£31.99 on Amazon!), & a Dr Seuss floor puzzle for £4.99. ...I have worked for myself now for over 18 years, and to be honest I wouldn't want to go back to a regular 9 to 5, but it certainly isn't easy earning a regular income. Those of you who have read my other reviews will know that I lost my youngest daughter a while back, and for me that was a huge reminder that life is very short, and for some, hardly any time at all. ...? hardback ? was £16.99, Works price £2.99. These kind of discounts are quite common, and sometimes I wonder how they do them (especially when books bear previous higher prices from other shops). The books are often those that haven?t sold well or are now out in paperback, so The Works seems to do a lot of overstock clearout, rather than ?fell off the back of a lorry? or second hand books. Big sellers like Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings and the like are all present and correct (generally retailing at a slight reduction, e.g. £4.99 or £5.99). I was able to pick up ?About A Boy? for £3.99 for my mum?s birthday last year, and there?s also a regular supply of unheard of paperbacks for £1.99 each ? a bit pot-luck I guess, but maybe worth taking a chance for a cheap holiday read when you know you haven?t lost much, and might be able to get your...

...This review is on that good old British shop, known only to those of us who for some reason admit to going in there as The Works. It is one of those shops that you just like to either love and/ or hate, but sadly I hate it. The Works is one of those shops that sells off all the old 'rejects' from other places, and they stock everything from books to music to craft things. They sell everything at stupidly low prices, just really for the simple reason that no-one will buy them otherwise. Take foro example an encyclopaedia of the Royal Family that would normally retail at £20 or more in one shop, but take it and put it in the works - and you are looking at probably £3 or £4 for exactly the same thing. However, in order to keep pace with current trends, this topic ought really to be re-titled, “Parents who work outside the home vs Stay-at-home parents vs Telecommuting parents”. And why shouldn’t we bring fathers into the equation? After all, it is becoming increasingly popular for fathers to stay at home and raise the children whilst the mother becomes the breadwinner, or for fathers to gain custody of the children and therefore find themselves in the situation that many single mothers have been in for decades. ...The Works is a very nice, cheap and with great variety of books shop. I have been in several around Britain. I liked the one in Newport S. Wales but I?m shopping mainly from the one in Preston or the one in Chorley, Lancashire. The layout and the presentation of the shops are almost the same wherever I have been. They differ only in size and quantity. Why To Go There. You can go there if you want buy books really cheap. That?s a great reason to visit a shop isn?t it?
