Chill Out Time In Tunisia

Advantages: Lovely hotel with great facilities
Disadvantages: Doesn't have it's own beach

...My boyfriend and I took a week long holiday to Port El Kantaoui in Tunisia in May 2008. The Occidental Allegro Riviera Hotel is a 4 star hotel. We mainly booked this holiday just to have a cheap, chilled out week in the sunshine. We also wanted a fairly short haul flight and we felt that Tunisia would be perfect for this. Travel Time from The UK We flew from London Gatwick and our flight took 2 and a half hours which was lovely as I am used to really long haul flights. The Occidental Allegro Riviera is located about a 40 minute bus journey from the airport, with a few other drop offs included on the way. Our transfers were included in the price of the holiday. Occidental Allegro , Playa Dorada

Advantages: All inclusive , Beaches and People
Disadvantages: Annoying beach sellers

...As a couple we had been recommended the Dominican Republic as a lively and friendly place to visit for our August 2003 hols. We choose carefully through several travel agents and First Choice won out as being the friendliest and least pushy! The resort of Occidental Allegro is one of many beach side resorts in Playa Dorada along the atlantic sea front ; Don't let this put you off as sea was warm and calm every day ( well it was august) AIRLINE: Travelled on an AIR 2000 plane and this was the only let down of the whole holiday as stewartdesess were very un helpful and seemed to positively un-friendly .Not what you want on an 10 hour flight! Worth a Visit!

Advantages: All inclusive, plenty to keep you occupied, or just for chilling out.

Familiar concertos by Vivaldi

Advantages: Classic Concertos for Everybody
Disadvantages: Strings only!!!no woodwind...boo!

Antigua

Advantages: Beaches are georgous; plenty to do; friendly locals
Disadvantages: Avoid hurricane season, sand flies and mosquitos

...Apparently Antigua has a beach for every day of the year - somehow I onoly got round to using the two at our resort - Allegro Pineapple. Allegro is on the west side of the island and is within walking distance of Devils Bridge - a natural phenoninom but play safe and keep away from the edge of the water. The locals were polite and friendly and the beach hawkers took no for an answer if you were not interested in what they were selling. Antigua has a warm tropical climate and our main bugbear (pardon the pun) was with the sand flies and mosquitos - a good insect repellant will do well - the bottoms of the ankles seemed their favourite place to bite. An expession of feelings

becoming a classic

...When do things move from being old and past it to become a classic, such as tha vauxhall viva or the allegro. In digital camera world I think that the time frame is much shorter as I think that the Kodak 210 has sort of moved to that status. I have had mine for 18 months now and although I have newer more compact models now the DC210 has a slight nostalgic feel to it or retro feel. It always has been a comfortable fit but it is bulky by todays standards. The photo quality is good and the capacity is still there with its newer brothers. Its computer grey colour is somewhat refreshing in todays world of Mac coloured monstrosities and its simple functions still make this childs play to use. The software it comes with is truly awful and I will cover picture easy elsewhere. Altogether a trustworthy old friend as a camera and well loved....
