...I bought the Alphabet fun desk for my daughter for Christmas. She had had the Vtech phonics toy but had outgrown it – time to upgrade! The alphabet fun desk is big and chunky and is sturdy enough to withstand the kind of treatment 4 year olds subject them to! It has a carry handle in the back so that your child can carry it easily as it is quite large. It has a keyboard with large buttons that are easy for a child to press; this goes in the order of the alphabet with 4 shape buttons at the end. Each key has the letter plus two words beginning with the letter plus a picture of each word. For example – a, ant, ape. Advantages: Many function, educational but fun
Disadvantages: You think its off and its not!

...there is a button shaped as a flower with a fly on it. On the end section of the body the name of the toy, Alphabet Pal, is printed on the body. This toy has 4 main functions, the letters, phonics, colours and songs. When you slide the switch to a function the caterpillar says "Hi I'm Alphabet Pal". According to what function you have set the toy on varies what happens when you press one of the caterpillar's feet. You get the corresponding letter, phonic, colour or one of 26 song melodies, like London Bridge and Old MacDonald had a farm. Also the antennas flash red when he makes a noise. If you pull the caterpillar by the cord along it triggers the song ABC. If you press the button on the top it says "Hi I'm Edison lets sing along with alphabet pal" and if you press it again it plays the alphabet melody. The only two thing that annoys me... Read review

...thing is they enjoy it yet it is giving the basic teaching they need ,with various alphabet tasks through sight and sound ,spelling ,missing words and so much more .Also number tasks as well adding ,subtracting ,shapes and ordering to name but a few !!
