alpine ida x200

Advantages: good sound nice to look at
Disadvantages: skips in middle of songs, no clock!!!!!, pay £160.00 for great sound

...Ok bought alpine ida x200 as it did nearly all the things x100 does but was a £100 cheaper. after installing i noticed the clock would not display, so i contacted alpine u.k. and they gave me instructions on how to display. I followed instructions but these did not work so again i contacted alpine u.k. The response came back he had given wrong instructins and the x200 does not have a clock. The sound is nice on system but if you want to have great sound you have to buy an imprint sound manager system about £49.00. Then you will need the sound chip aruond £120.00. If you want bluetooth phone connection add another £80.00.if you want a clock add £100 and upgrade to the x100, i have never bought alpine before and never will again. I will say this though if you buy American x200 you do get a clock and a calender. Amazing how we the British...

BRUIN ALPINE - great if your baby isn't nosey!

At the time I needed a lightweight stroller due to my 6 month old daughter having grown out of her travel system car seat and the Graco buggy being too heavy to drag in and out of the boot every day during the school run. Whilst in Babies R Us we saw the Bruin Alpine Stroller. Its style appealed to me and I was even more impressed when I saw the price. HOW MUCH? I love my twin alpine.

Advantages: Easy to push and steer, appears comfortable.
Disadvantages: Heavy to lift when folded, shopping basket awkward to get to.

...I bought my Mothercare urban detour twin alpine three wheeler pushchair 2 1/2 years ago after having twins. I needed a pushchair that was suitable for 2 newborns, easy to push and strong enough to last until my children were walking. We had looked at many before deciding on this one. The twin alpine is suitable from birth, has a lockable front swivel wheel, quick release rear tyres, pneumatic tyres with a pump, and comes with removable cosytoes, a raincover and a shopping basket. It is from Mothercare and is priced at £230. There has been has change in the fold mechanism since I bought mine. It is now one-handed but i can't comment on how easy that is. ...The 12 disc CD player was perfect for me because I like allot of different music and I never know what I want to listen to different music when I'm in different moods. I fitted the changer myself which was quite easy, it's quite a new car. Usually this would cost £80 at Halfords and can I just say that they pay their fitting guys about £5 hourly rate. halfords rake it in. this is a bit of a hint but you can ask the halfords assistant to come round out of work hours and fit the stereo at a reduced price this benefits you and them! Anyway, the front face comes off which is good for security but never leave it in the car. About 80% of people leave theirs somewhere in the car for example under the seat or mat. And car criminal know this! Always take the face with you. This comes with a carry case so its good and doest get scratched...

SPR694A, Do they deserve their Alpine badge??

Advantages: These speakers will handle large amounts of power and are more than willing to do so for long periods of time. They have rather punchy bass so I find that they work very well along side a sub and they have great midrange sound.
Disadvantages: Quite weighty so if you're planning on installing them into a standard parcel shelf be prepared to stregthen it, better still would be to replace the shelf with a wooden one.

...I reluctently purchased these 6x9's about 6 months ago after becoming sympathetic with passangers in the rear of my car only being able to hear the constant drowning of sub bass. Having not run any speakers in the rear for quite some time because I rather spend money on SQ upfront (the place your ears point to) and on sub bass, I was very dubious as to how this would affect the overall sound of the system. I already had the Alpine SPR176A components up front and was more than happy with them so I thought that I'd give their 6x9 cousins a try. I think it would be fair to say that we are not exactly regulars at this fine establishment as do I believe the last time any of us went was actually over 18 years ago, when we had an 18th birthday party for my sister. Well, if you go to a place too often, it spoils it doesn't it? Geographically speaking, Denshaw is close to Junction 21 of the M62 and forms part of the district of Saddleworth. Pounding bass for your pound

Advantages: Great Bass, Very Compact, only £100
Disadvantages: None that I have found so far

...Alpine have always held a high position of regard for in car entertainment since I first installed a complete 1250w sound system back in 1990. I own a Peugeot 206cc and have installed an Alpine DVD head unit and although more than impressed with the standard speakers (which I hope to upgrade at some stage with a set of JBL's) when the roof is down it hard for any standard set of speakers to provide the bass required. There is also a severe limitation to available space, I had seen an installation wich would have completely filled my boot but I was after a more practical solution. Enter the Alpine SWD 1600's, although only 6.5" this 150w active sub on paper at least met my requirements.
