...After my Sennheiser CX 300's snapped a friend gave me his Altec Lansings. At first they did take some getting used to as they are bigger than the CX 300s, I would prefer them slightly smaller. Background noise isn't a problem but initially you may find the silicone tips take a bit of wiggling about to get them to fit exactly if you want them to block out all background noise.
