Amandas Wedding
Advantages: Frothy, light, funny, witty, easy to read
Disadvantages: A bit too shallow for some?
...Mel is a likeable, unambitious twenty-something who works for a stationary company, who's life has been slightly a mess since her commitment-phobic boyfriend upped and left for America a year ago.
She lives with a dumpy recluse called Linda who she knows nothing about, and her best friend is Fran, a sarcastic man-eater aspiring actress. The two of them have a vague 'friend' called Amanda, who announces she's getting married. To Mel's old university crush, Fraser, who owns a pile of rubble (unknown to Amanda, who is busily an at home feature deal with OK), inherited from his father.
Amanda is a petite blonde PR girl, all sports cars and leather trousers. She's snobby, gorgeous and all the men love her. She also happens to be filthy rich, thanks to her father who spoils her mercilessly. It is obvious that Amanda is marrying Fraser...

a very amazing singer named mandy moore aka amanda leigh
Advantages: some really great songs like mermac river and very different from competition
Disadvantages: not enough tracks
...Amanda Leigh the tittle name of the album is actually Mandy Moores real name.
She's not your typical Pop artist and she does not try to be.In fact in this album she tries not to have you r typical Pop sound most of the songs are acoustic with the exception of Track number three called I could break yopur heart any day of the week.I have had mixed feelings about her album and for me its been 50/50 some of it I have liked and some of the song I think will slowly Grow on me. My favorite song off the album is Merrimack River which is an acoustic song which I could listen to unlimited amount of times. It is very sad that she has not done a lot better with her albums Her album sales are not in the same league as Britney Spears or Christina Agulera. Her album is very hard to find in music stores so my advice is That you order it from amazon...

FREE DVDs
Advantages: Free trial, large choice, post included, new realeases
Disadvantages: see review
...I like movies and I like freebies, so when you get offered both in one swoop you?re bound to accept! I used my two week free trial with this company and remained with them for a couple of monthsbefore moving on to try many other companies free trials (and winning a new DVD player on Tesco DVD rental site on their free trial offer). I then had an email from DVDs 365 asking me to go back, and offering me a free DVD if I did so. I had just left Tesco (with my new DVD player) so I chose to go back with them.
∆◊◊ THE SERVICE THEY OFFER ∆◊◊
Basically it?s like going to a video shop and hiring films on DVD, except you don?t pay for each film you chose ? rather a monthly fee for which you can watch as many movies as you can fit in, for us this is usually around 8 a month (2 a week usually weekends...

Surprising Picture Quality - Panasonic DVD-S54
Advantages: Incredible picture quality when compared to my old non-upscaling player with a scart lead
Disadvantages: Sometimes disc drive can be really noisy when DVD's initially load.
...At first I wasn't convinced by up-scaling DVD player technology but was persuaded after reading an article in "What Hi-Fi? Sound and Vision" magazine. Unable to afford a Blu-Ray player my sister and I bought the Panasonic DVD-S54 to match our parents brand new Panasonic TX-32LZD80 LCD television as their Christmas 2008 present. Admittedly it was a slightly selfish purchase as we both live at home and wanted to watch DVDs on the big new TV ourselves! We bought the player from the electrical retailer Comet for about £100 just before Christmas so there were no discounts applied.
On Christmas day when opened we found a relatively small box tightly packed with the player in polystyrene packaging. All the components such as cables, remote and manuals were well presented in their own protective plastic bags, to keep them protected. The player...

Matt Redman's Heart of Worship
Advantages: Brilliant Worship Music with meaning behind the lyrics.
Disadvantages: None
...This CD is brilliant. Every song is quality. All the songs have been recorded live from his US tour.
Below is a review of all the tracks:
1 - Blessed Be Your Name - Great track. Won a Dove Award in America for Best Song. 5/5
2 - Holy Moment - A worship track praising God. 3.5/5
3 - Once Again - Beautiful song which really sticks in your mind. Unfortunately, in my opinion, there is better versions of this song on other Matt Redman CD's because it is quite quick on this album. But it is still very decent. 4/5
4 - Heart Of Worship - This is what Matt is all about, he has the heart of worship and really tries to spread that to others and he is succeeding. He may not be the best singer or guitarist but he has the heart of worship which many Christian bands/singers miss and that is what makes him so good. Brilliant...

Missing Amanda
Advantages: Good story, nice twist
Disadvantages: Could have been better
...When little Amanda goes missing, there is a great deal of concern for her safety, although her addict mother doesn't initially seem all that upset. A pair of private investigators, Patrick Kenzie and Angie Gennaro, are called in by relatives to help with the case - the idea being that they know the local 'hood better than the police. All investigations seem to lead to a brick wall, however, and eventually Patrick and Angie are forced to concede that Amanda is probably dead. Having become personally involved, however, they cannot stay away from the case for too long. Will they ever find Amanda? And if they do, will she be dead or alive?
As the film is directed by Ben Affleck and the lead character, Patrick is played by Casey Affleck, it would be fair to presume there was a little bit of nepotism involved in the casting. That aside...

Amanda's A to Z
Advantages: you might find out something that I haven't let slip before.
Disadvantages: You might not like what you hear.
...Well, I finally finished it and I must just thank Georgina aka Purebitch, for challenging everybody to write an A-Z opinion. Here goes nothing,
A is for Amanda
My name which I have absolutely hated forever. I was going to be called Catherine or had I been a boy Steven which is my brothers name. Amanda is a silly name that is very difficult to type fast without spelling incorrectly.
B is for Booze
I love alcohol of all types but favourites are Vodka, wine (any sort), Martini, Tequila, Archers, Guinness and lager
C is for Cadbury
She was my chocolate coloured cat. She died four days before Callum was born and I still miss her.
D is for daughter
My Lucy who is gorgeous and very hot headed at 2 ½ (boy am I in for trouble). She has the most gorgeous blonde curls and as I have straight mousy coloured (when not dyed red) hair I...

Facing up to Forty!
Advantages: interesting story
Disadvantages: hard to get in to
...Amanda Brookfield is one of my favourite authors and I tend to anticipate her new books with relish. She tends to write about normal everyday people who seem to have more than their fair share of ups and downs in life. This is exactly the case with her latest offering 'Life Begins' which centres on an almost forty year old divorced woman and her rather unpredictable life!
The central chaaracter is Charlotte Turner who is recently divorced from Martin with whom she has a somewhat acrimonious relationship. They do however have to keep communicating with each other because of their thirteen year old son Sam. Added to this Charlotte has a difficult relationship with her own mother but she does have a good support network of friends.
As the story progresses her complicated life becomes even more complicated due to Sam getting into...

Mr Darcy.....the book with bite!
Advantages: A twist on the original.
Disadvantages: The idea is outrageous!
...After reviewing a book that I state as being a relief from the endless vampire books that I have to read, I know I shouldn?t really moan, they are my favourite, I am now reviewing the newest vampire book to cross my path, thanks entirely to my darling husband!
The book I will now review is - ?Mr Darcy - vampire, by Amanda Grange?
I have to be honest, after my husband presented this to me the other week, looking extremely pleased with his find I might add, I was gob smacked that someone had had the audacity to mess with a classic, that was until read it that is!
The story, if you hadn?t twigged yet, is centred around the two main characters of the original story ?Pride and Prejudice?, these being Elizabeth Bennet and Fitzwilliam Darcy.
The story begins pretty much where the original finished, albeit by a few pages!
It is...

Capri Crime
Advantages: thrilling, brill twist at the end
Disadvantages: none
...which tourists rarely discover, this book lets us have a glimpse, according to Lola there?s a sinister undercurrent to all the Mediterranean beauty.
The characters are well drawn, new facets come to light all the time, even after seven years of marriage Lola and her husband don?t seem to really know each other. Her mother-in-law, who she calls ?the cobra? in her emails, is given only small room but she?s nevertheless a decisive factor in the end, at least in my reading.
About the author: wherever you look, you always find the same information about her, namely: ?Amanda Prantera was born and brought up in East Anglia. She went to Italy for a brief holiday when she was twenty and has lived there ever since.? She?s written ten previous novels, the only other one I?ve read is ?Letters to Lorenzo? (see my review), also highly recommendable...
