Advantages: A great place to sell goods

...I'm sure many of you out there have spent a fair bit of your internet time browsing somewhere such as eBay for unnecessary products to spend your hard earned cash on. Well, here's an alternative that in my view at least, is better than eBay... I'm sure you're all aware of the concept of Amazon.co.uk and the service it provides, allowing you to buy any kind of electrical goods/DVD/CD amongst the greater selection of goods it now sells. But you can also sell things on Amazon, and buy material from third-parties rather than just through Amazon...that's where it's Marketplace comes in. When clicking on a product, take a DVD for example, you will be given the price, but also an option to buy "Used & New", which will take you to third party sellers which are not associated with Amazon, just merely members of the site. ...Recently, I've started to use Amazon regularly and find that their service is excellent, although it does depend on the buyer you purchase your product from. I have encountered two problems recently which was disappointing. First of all, I ordered a Nintendo DS from their website. Although the product didn't come directly from Amazon, but from Piximania who were selling the product through Amazon. The product did not state that the Nintendo DS was only compatible for use in the EU and not in the UK as it did not come with a UK adaptor. Obviously, I was disappointed as I was concerned it would not work the same. However, it does, thankfully. Of course I had to go and buy a UK adaptor though. Although it was cheap, I feel that there should have been something in the item description to say that it was suitable for the EU and not UK...

I have used Amazon a lot in the past year as I use it to buy DVDs for some of my favourite TV series which are not readily available in the UK, or if they are available they are rather expensive. On Amazon, you can buy them straight from the distributors in the US at a reasonable price and you have a good range of prices to choose from depending on the condition of the item, you can buy second hand if you want to.. BUYING: My experience as a buyer at Amazon has been pleasant. ...the comfort of my home. 2 Days later my items turned up well packaged (especially those gift wrapped) and exactly as described and everyone was happy. One of the great things Amazon offer are those who create their own music, books and art to list on their site, they offer a good rate and you can even get money off some of Amazon's similar items. The only bad thing I can think about Amazon is that some have been scammed when buying off others on Amazon Marketplace through fake emails asking the customer to purchase through an unsecure website; also it was possible to buy on Amazon Germany dangerous items like pepper spray and tear gas all advertised under the Amazon banner. While I would advise though looking to do some easy shopping to check out Amazon I would also similarly advise you to be slightly wearier if buying off Amazon...
