...people occur in the UK and not abroad on holiday so it is definitely something that needs looking at. I have been using Garnier Ambre Solaire for quite a while now and there are some things I like about it and others I don't. It has both UVA and UVB protection which we are told is a great benefit and we should always look for both of these in our sun screen lotion. They both react towards the body differently as so both need to be protected from. UBV rays can cause sunburn and some forms of skin cancer. In the past UVA was considered less harmful, but today it is known, that it can contribute to skin cancer via the indirect DNA damage It penetrates deeply but it does not cause sunburn. Review of Garnier Ambre Solaire Ultra-Moisturising Protection Milk SPF30

Ambre Solaire No Streaks Bronzer = Brilliant!

Advantages: NO STREAKS!!! + super easy and quick to apply!
Disadvantages: tan is quite light so needs a couple of layers to build a nice colour

...This week I was feeling a little down about my appearance and decided on a fake tan pick me up! I've used lots of different kind of fake tans before and was going to try fake bake or st tropez this time but with times being hard finance wise I decided on Ambre Solaire £8 for the body one and £6 for the face. I am very pale and so went for the 'light' version. Before starting I exfoliated and moisturised well, then applied the tan. I applied as stated on the can, spraying from a distance of 30 cm in regular motions and didn't rub in. It's very easy to apply, it sprays at every angle and took less than 5 minutes to apply. The scent of the tan is quite pleasant at first and not as chemical smelling as some of the others. Although this does give way to the usual fake tan smell as the night goes on!! I really didn't feel the need to rub...

Good protection spray butneeds frequent application and is greasy

...Garnier Ambre Solaire UV Sensitive 50+ SPF This product is designed for very fair, sun intolerant or sensitive skin that needs a very high protection against UVA and UVB rays. I personally use high SPF products also as protection against strap marks on my shoulders or feet or watch marks on my wrist in summer, as my skin tans very quickly. '"Price"' This is probably not the cheapest product on earth but also not the most expensive. I bought mine at Boots for £12.99 but it was on offer Buy 1 get 1 free so it calculates for about £6.50 each, which isn?t bad. My advice is to buy the summer products out of season because you can always find a good bargain. Self-tanning made easy with Ambre Solaire No Streaks

Advantages: Easy to use, dries quickly, nice colour
Disadvantages: Inexperienced users may end up with some slightly darker patches

...I recently bought this after hours spent scouring beauty retailers online, asking a colleague who regularly uses self tanning products and then some more time spent dithering about in stores look at own brands and insanelyt expensive brands. I mainly bought this because it's easy to use, not messy and it was on offer. I bought the light skin version as I have very very pale skin. I used Garnier Sugar Scrub beforehand to make sure I was suitably exfoliated before application. It was fairly quick and easy to mist myself (at all angles as promised by Garnier!) with the bronzer spray and it doesn't smell bad and is quick to dry. Within an hour you have developed a lovely glow and after a night's sleep it has now developed to a mediumy/dark (or maybe just what I'd consider dark) tan. Some parts are lighter than others but it's not...

Get all creamed up for the sun with Ambre Solaire.

Advantages: It works.
Disadvantages: Cant think of any.

...If you have fair skin and catch the sun easily like me then you need to try Ambre Solaire After sun Tan Maintainer. Normally I tend to go red and sometimes I burn. I have found over the past few years that Ambre Solaire after sun tan maintainer has not only given me a good looking tan over the redness but, it has also moisturised and soothed the areas that have been burned and dried out too. Before I started using this product did not really use any other sun cream so when I went looking for one I did not really have a clue as to what brand was the best to use. I basically looked at the packing and picked the best looking one off the shelf and to tell you the truth I am really glad I picked this one. The cream is fairly runny and will run out of the bottle if you leave it on its side and you must be careful not to squeeze too...

The quick way to BRONZE

Advantages: Easy to use with a pleasant smell and good colour
Disadvantages: Hard to see where you have applied it as it absorbs so well!

Sun Protection Spray

Advantages: easy to use, and good protection from burning
Disadvantages: can't use on face, pump stoped working when bottle was nearly empty

...I've always used more traditional creams as sun protection, and was a little sceptical as to how much protection would be given by a spray such as this, but was plesantly surprised. Despite being in 35 degree heat, I did not burn, nor did I peel. The product was easy to use, in particular it was much easier to re-apply during the day (after swimming etc, or just out and about) than a cream would have been. It wasn't greasy, and didn't cause any skin irritations. One negative is the pump kept breaking, particularly when the bottle was nearly empty, so we had to decant the remainder of the first bottle into a second to avoid wasting the product.
