...As a child who loved all things soft and cuddly, I was a huge fan of the TY beanie babies. My friends and I were obsessed, always buying them with our pocket money. Between us I think we would have had every single one! There are all sorts of animals to collect in the TY range, and quite a selection of Beanie Baby Bears. Needless to say, these are a wide variety of bears of all sorts. Not the grizzly or polar type, but the teddy bear type! One of these bears I had was America the bear. He was the bear that, well, represented America! There were various country bears and this was one of my favourites. Sitting down, he looks quite cute. He is a sky blue colour, with the american flag on the right of his chest. Around his next he has a little bow the colours of the American flag: blue, red, white. His little face is so adorable...

Disadvantages: On MTV - so if you haven't got Satellite you can't watch it

Advantages: Entertaining and educational
Disadvantages: Some bits are more interesting than others

...It?s hard to define a book that incorporates etymology, history, culture, sociology and a huge amount of humour; the best I can do is to rather vaguely term it ?a complete success and a pleasure to read?. Literary Review puts it a little more succinctly as ?a triumph?, but I don?t think that even that high praise describes exactly how much information and entertainment Bill Bryson has managed to pack into this book. On the surface, it is an investigation of American English and how it?s been shaped through America?s relatively short history, but (as I hope you will see by reading this review) Made In America is so much more than that...   My Camp America experience

Angels in America-a gay fantasia?

Advantages: Fabulous acting and beautiful cinematography
Disadvantages: possibly length

Whilst Angels in America is compelling in dealing with the relationships of the main characters and the subtlities involved in human interaction, it also has a whole other level when Prior possibly sinks into insanity and believes he is visited by the 'Angel of America' and is given a mission to halt human progress which has driven God away from earth leaving only the angels. It is left to the viewer to decide whether the fantastical element is real or imagined but regardless each time the angel appears it adds to the understanding of the characters and raises important questions about the difficulties they are experiencing. America's Sickly Sweetness

Advantages: Top notch cast
Disadvantages: Very weak script and plot

...America's Sweethearts is a 'satire' on the overhyped 'Hollywood machine' and the emptiness, egotism and selfishness of its stars. The cast is led by Catherine Zeta Jones, John Cusack, Julia Roberts and Billy Crystal. It's a brilliant premise with a top-notch cast, but sadly it's a great disappointment. The plot: Zeta Jones and Cusack are a separated couple who have made a string of highly successful films together. Since their split at the end of making the movie, Cusack has been in a Buddhist/Yogic/New Age clinic trying to come to terms with losing her, while she's been shacked up with a muscled but empty-headed Spanish wannabe. Crystal is the studio publicist who has to get them both together at a media junket to resurrect their careers and get the film from the director (Christopher Walken) who's been holding it back...

Elysees Opera/America Opera Hotel - Paris, France.

...I stayed in this hotel in August 2007 and the following is my view and opinion. I would also like to state that on Ciao, this hotel is listed as a 1 star hotel, whereas in fact the Elysees Opera is a 3 star hotel. The hotel is named America Opera and Elysees Opera, i stayed in the Elysees Opera. I'm not sure as to why there are 2 names? Location The road of Rue de Turin was very easy to find. We got the Metro to the nearest stop, Rome, and we were provided with a small map illustrating the location. So we found the road and walked down it, only passing one hotel on the way down. This hotel was named The America Opera. However we had booked in to The Elysees Opera Hotel. So we kept walking until we got to the end of the road. ...Americas most smartest model For all those of you who have never seen this program before, Americas most smartest model is basically a show in which 16 models live together and compete in tasks deciding how good they are at modelling and also how smart they are too. it’s a pretty obvious show really and you could easily guess what its about just from the title. The loser each week gets the chop and also looses out on the potential prize of $100000 at the end of the competition. I stumbled across this show one night whilst just sat at home bored to pieces and thought it looked alright. A nice quiet night in front of the TV where I can put my feet up and settle down to watch a film, or so I thought. Many people seem to have forgotten the fact that November 5th is Bon Fire Night, not November 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and certainly not October. Sadly my relax and watch a film had to be delayed until the continuing bombardment of loud bangs and flashes had calmed down at least, which finally happened at 10pm. Hurray get out the flags peace and quiet at last, so feet up, grab controllers and scan the channels for something to watch.
