...Well, this review is on the new product of the week, which is actually one of my favourite shampoos, "American Crew Peppermint Shampoo". Now like most people I have to be honest I hadn't really heard of the product, although it has been around for some 35 years. My first encounter with this product was when my cousin visited us from Chicago; I must have been 2001 if im not wrong. He usually comes every 2 or 3 years and the best thing about his visits is that he brings so many American goodies with him, shampoos, crisps, Twinkies, aftershave you name it and he's bought it for us. ...w0O0O0O0Ow! My first ever ciao review. Oh where was I? Oh yes, My review on American Crew Peppermint Cleanse. Well most people (especially in England) may not be too familiar with this product. You probably think 'whats makes this shampoo stand out from the hundreds out there? Like Head And Shoulders, Loreal, Elvive, Dove, Sunsilk, Body Shop etc. Well, my encounter with this little beauty started off when the girls went off in a wild tangent in their brains and decided to throw a house party in the student house they live in. Believe me I would not recommend it, especially at 2 in the morning! Any way my hair was in such a state. I had not washed my hair in days which pretty much explains why I tend to where a bandanna. ...as they do in the near future then the future looks good for American Crew. How I got it. Before this Christmas however, American Crew was a brand I was unfamiliar with. Not only had I never used there products before, but id never even heard of the brand before. Upon getting the gift of a bottle of this peppermint cleanse, a bottle of there daily conditioner, a bottle of there texture cream and a pot of there classic wax the first thing I noticed, not knowing anything about the brand is how good it looked just from the packaging. ...I was desperate and in search of a new shampoo that would thicken my only 30 strands of hair i have remaining, I needed to slow down the emigration of my hair follicles. I have been using wash and go up to this point and by shear; chance. I had stumbled across a swell shampoo. I was informed of a new product called American crew shampoo. I was told it adds maximum body and fullness to your hair and adds moisture and shine. The shine bit bothered me, maybe not. ...The hairdressing salon that I go to promote the full American Crew brand ranging from wax to shampoo`s, conditioner`s, etc. Whenever I was in having my hair styled this was the brand of product they used so I decided to give American Crew a try. I have a short to medium length hair cut which has various spiky bits which require products which can provide good hold. Lots of the styling gels I had previously used tended to make the hair rock hard and matt it together. American Crew fibre gives a matt texture look without shine, designed for use on contemporary chopped and textured styles to get a natural look. You only have to use a small fingertip amount to hold you hair strongly in place all day so a small tub will last you quite a while. ...American Crew Daily Moisturising Shampoo My son brought this product online from buyamericancewe.co.uk on the recommendation of his hairdresser. He has over the years added lots of colours and chemicals to his hair, as a lot of students do, but it was beginning to take its toll on the quality of his hair, as it was starting to dry out and become brittle, giving quite an unruly effect to his hair. After spending a short time on line, he soon learned of American Crewe products and was impressed by what he had read and initially brought the 250ml bottle, and is now a regular purchaser of many of their other male grooming products as well. ...OK, i admit I am far too stingey to actually buy this stuff, and yes, I admit I have never even heard of it, but when my hairdresser offered me a jar, free gratis, I am not one to look a gift horse in any part of it's anatomy. American Crew is a Company that was not formed until 1994, they sell shampoos, shower gels, shaving accessories, and of course hair gel, or as they call it, wax. I am never sure what the difference is really both seem to do the same job, perhaps wax is stiffer, or dries harder. AllI know is that this is very good, bearing in mind that it did not actually cost me a Penny. It is advertised as a Pliable styling wax, giving medium hold, and medium shine. ...I was given mine by a hairdresser friend, she got it among dozens of others as samples from a rep, and although she recommends it, she uses another make in the shop. (I believe you ladies call it a saloon). American Crew is a firm which was not formed until 1994, they sell shower gel, and yes shaving accessories, hair gel, plus of course shampoo. I am not doing the traditional thing of listing the ingredients, but the top one is water. Is it easy to use? Yes, it washes well, and rinses out OK too. It comes in a user friendly bottle. Does it smell nice? Not really, smelly toiletries are very much a matter of personal taste, and this one smells like all the rest to me, but that is just my own opinion. Does it do the job? ...I spent months trying to find the right product for my hair. I'm not a poser, I'm not a hairdresser, I'm just someone that likes to make an effort with their appearance. Many of the 'off the shelf' products available in the supermarkets and even some salons are all the same and produce dissapointing effects. I got bored with products all under different names, making different claims which all turned out to be some sort of slimey goo and never offered me the hold or style that I wanted, despite what it said on the packaging! I then came across American Crew Fibre. In short, this product is exactly what I've been searching for, and this is why. Unlike the others, Crew Fibre is a unique product. ...American Crew, Peppermint Cleanse, It Gives Good Head (of hair) Intro: I first tried products from the American Crew range, when my friend from America came over to stay a while ago. I then happened to notice that my hair salon also sold their products and have since ended up using the product whenever I go and stay in the states and go to the hair salon. One of the key selling features of the products and brand, is that it is 'for men'. With a market pretty much saturated with hair styling products for ladies, they occupy a nice slice of the male grooming market. My Experience: The Peppermint Cleanse drew my attention particularly when I came over to the states last year as it claims to be 'deep cleansing' and can get rid of any styling product residue in your hair…which appealed to me and my mild obsession...
