another great laptop from fujitsu
Advantages: design and very qucik
Disadvantages: no webcam on there
...This is yet another great laptop made by fujitsu siemens. Its basically great for having around the house, and mainly for keeping on a desk most of the time. In fact id describe this as a replacement desktop, it will run just as fast as one and is so much smaller so why not get one instead of a huge desktop pc.
This particular ones the Fujitsu Siemens AMILO Pro V3505 Edition, which is another spin off of the designs of the amilo’s. however this one does look a lot different to all the other amilos out there and is one of my favourite designs Fujitsu have done.
Its combination of the colours black and silver/grey make this laptop look a lot more stylish and cooler than if it was all in just one colour.
My favourite feature of this use of colour is how the grey keyboard stands out around the black bottom of the laptop...

fujitsu siemens amilo pro v2055
Advantages: slim design
Disadvantages: dim screen
...i bought this laptop as a replacement for my everyday desktop pc. overall i like the laptop but it has alot of downsides. for the price i would expect a slightly faster processor, but the celeron M that comes with it dose the job fine aslong as u dont open to many programs at any one time,
this laptop comes with 512MB of Ram memory. this is ok for a laptop of this price. also it come loaded with windows XP home edition.
for value for money this is a generally good piece of equipment but for gamers and very heavy pc users a would save up and get a slighly more upgraded model with maybee a duel core prossesor.
the V2055 come complete with restore and a drivers disk which was a great help to me.
another up point about this laptop is it comes with built in wirless, wich is great for surfing the internet anywhere around...

fab laptop
Advantages: great speeds
Disadvantages: not alot of extra features
...Fujitsu runs under the siemens brand name. it's a brand that has been around for ages, mainly making TV, DVD players and other electrical goods. Now you've probably all heard about siemens but not really about fujitsu and that's what could put some people off getting there laptops by thinking there a new brand and therefore not reliable.
However, recently they have been making more laptops, all of which I think are very good, and its only just now that people are starting to respect them as a good laptop manufacturer too, and are now up to the likes of Acer and sony in the laptop business, however there still nowhere near as well recognised as dell are.
This Fujitsu Siemens is an AMILO Pro V3515 Edition. There are many editions of amilos out now so its best having a good look at them all to see which one you'll want.

Advantages: Large screen, simple to use, quick to charge up, quick to start up, relatively cheap
Disadvantages: Pale coloured keyboard likely to eventually get grubby

Since I got my first laptop almost 2 years ago I've been hooked. My desktop computer stands redundant in the spare room whilst I sit in front of the TV using my wireless network to surf the net or get on with my work. Lazy maybe, convenient definitely. Entry-level Notebooks for Small and Medium Enterprise Users
Advantages: Affordable price, great for basic needs
Disadvantages: poor graphic support
...can still manage to carry it arround without much problems.
The connection betwen the screen and the body is firm as the screen stays where it is no matter how much the angle you rotate it, and the angle can go as far as 180 degree comfortably. This is very important as many laptop screens stoped working because the connection with the mainboard is damaged due to long-term rotation of the screen. For this laptop, I haven't had any trouble with the screen so far and I've had it for 2 years now.
The Amilo Pro V3525 also has 4 USB 2.0 ports, which allows you to work with many external devices that uses USB connection, without having to buy an external USB hub.
The speakers are at the two top corner of the keyboard. The sound produced is in very low quality, not even stereo sound so I would recomend you use a headphone. This would also...

jujitsus best laptop yet!!
Advantages: great all rounder
Disadvantages: games
...I really love this laptop, previously siemens haven't really made good computers or laptops but they are now starting to come out with really good products from their Fujitsu ranges.
This is a amilo pro V3515, its looks stylish and is quite compact too.
It features Intel Pentium Dual Core T2080 / 1.73 GHz processor which runs the 1gb of installed ram like a dream. Also if you use demanding programs and need more ram then this can be upgraded to a maximum of 2gb. This however if quite dear to do and could cost around £50.
This laptop has a great 120 GB hard drive to store all your data on, also it runs at 5400 rpm which is rather quick.
A criticism to fujitsu would be that this laptop doesn't have a card reader built into it, this is something a lot of people need so i was disappointed to see it didn't contain one.

Budget priced laptop...but with a serious fault
Advantages: Reasonably good spec for the price, but not amazing. Quite good looking
Disadvantages: Some small faults and one major fault with freezing/locking up.
...you've got a few programs installed and a few running, the memory soon gets eaten up, particularly if you use an arts
program like Adobe Photoshop to edit digital photographs like I do sometimes.
So, I decided to upgrade and bought an extra 1GB of RAM for £45 (generic unbranded RAM), and boosting upto 1.5GB RAM has definately made things faster and the laptop more a more capable machine overall, even if you want it for only basic purposes, extra RAM makes programs load faster and there are less delays in processes.

- The battery life is quoted at 2.5 hours, but even with a fully charged battery, it wouldn't run a full 2 hour film, and I had to watch the ending the next day when I got home! I think it lasted around 1h40mins before dying. Maybe it would last longer if you're just typing a document, but...
