arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrANBESOL
Review of Anbesol Liquid by  Deenar

Advantages: Better than a gel for staying power
Disadvantages: Bottle very small, can get lost in handbag!!!!

...I have recently been besieged with a mouthful of ulcers(nothing to do with my baby who has been waking 4 times a night, then getting me up at 6am every morning) And normally i just get on with my life and not use anything and just moan about the fact that my mouth hurts..NOT this time...My tongue was covered,so i decided to scour the medicine cupboard to find hubbys ANBESOL...only to find it was about 6 months out of date...but i was desperate...even 6 months out of date it was still potent.. I bought my own bottle the next day..as i thought i was in for a long haul... so THE PRODUCT... Is a small bottle of Orangey(disinfectant colour)liquid, just over 5 mls to be precise. basically it is a antiseptic and anaesthetic, which will releive pain from mouth ulcers, denture irritation and teething in babies. The application is simple... Read review

Anbesol liquid
Review of Anbesol Liquid Antiseptic and Anaesthetic by  SamanthaPerry

Advantages: Numbs the area very quickly
Disadvantages: Tastes awful!

...Liquid Anbesol is another product on the market to ease the pain in teething babies, my friend recommended this product as she has been using it on her daughter ever since she started teething. You have to ask the chemist for it as it isnt stocked on the shelves, it is behind the counter and a small 6.5ml bottle cost me £2.99. The box is white and it has the word Anbesol on the front in big blue letters. It has a green box underneath this which contains white writing that states 'rapid relief from mouth ulcers, teething pains and denture irritation. So this liquid is not only for teething in babies but also cures a bigger variety of mouth problems, therefore is a handy treatment to have in your medicine cabinet for all the family. I haven't yet tested if this does actually help to treat any of the other ailments yet. The bottle... Read review

i love anbesol
Review of Anbesol Liquid by  marcos123

Advantages: the quick soothing effect it has on babys gums
Disadvantages: my little man screaming in the first place

...when my mother first told me to try anbesol i told her not to be so silly that was only for adults. i was at my wits end with my little boy nothing seemed to dull the pain for ant amount of time and he was constantly crying with pain. Then one day i decided to go out and buy it. the pain seemed to dissapear in second s and he would settle and sleep for a nap no bother. i have a bottle in my bag and in the car and the house i would not be without it and would highly recommend it to any mum who is having teething nightmares like i was it is amazing and you are not filling your child with paracetamol. which i find a good thing not that i am against it, its just at that age you tend to watch what you like to give them if you can help it.... No Pain, All Gain.
Review of Anbesol Liquid by  Aussieme1106

Advantages: Numbs pain almost instantly.
Disadvantages: Not available at all chemists or in supermarkets.

...As a Mother of a young child, I am always on the look-out for things that will be good for her. Her being Georgia Grace. She is 16 months old, and has been cutting teeth since she was just over 4 months old. She began with the usual drooling, and then the chewing on anything she could get a grip on. Now she is much older, she chews (much to my chagrin), the end of her cot-bed. I tried to find teething rings for her, had all the ones you put in the fridge, hard ones, pretty-patterned ones, you name it, I got it for her. Throughout all this, I have never failed to give her something for the pain of teething. The Product. = Anbesol Liquid. This comes in two size bottles, according to the Patient Information Leaflet inside the small white box. 6.5ml, and 15ml. I have only ever seen the 6.5ml bottle though. Whats... Read review

Not just for babies
Review of Anbesol Liquid by  mjbarkley

Advantages: It works
Disadvantages: Some babys do not like it

...The cheeks are rosy, the nappies are ugh, fingers are going into the mouth, and all sorts of hard objects are going into the mouth and do not forget the dribbles. Nothing seems to soothe your baby. TEETH ARE COMING!!!!!!!!! Some children sail through the onset of teeth while others have a terrible time of it. What can you do when you are woken up in the night by an uncomfortable child? I have the solution. ANBESOL. My saviour. This little bottle of yellowish brown liquid does not appear much to look at but its power is wonderful. A small amount of this liquid applied to the gums of a teething baby and peace reigns. The wonder of this liquid is the speed it works it is almost instantaneous. The Anbesol liquid is absorbed immediately into the gums and soothes the pain. Gels can be hard to apply and are easily licked... Read review

No more pain - Thank You
Review of Anbesol Liquid by  averagepunter

Advantages: Fast pain relief, easy to carry around.
Disadvantages: The pain in the first place

...If I was a good little boy, I would probably go to the dentist every six months, brush twice a day and have perfect teeth. Unfortunately, I am not. My experience of trips to the dentist tells me that I am quite likely to be in more pain when I leave the chair than I was when I got into it. As such, my attitude now is that I need to be in severe pain before I go to the dentist – that way, there is at least some chance that I will feel better afterwards. It is probably as a result of this attitude that I discovered Anbesol. A few weeks before Christmas, I began to experience a dull, toothache pain. No problem, I thought, I’ve had these before – it’ll go away in few days. Except this time it didn’t go away. I became aware of a lump on my gum, and the pain grew in intensity until one morning I had to make the dreaded call to the dentist... Read review

Powerful Pain Relief
Review of Anbesol Liquid by  RClure

Advantages: lasts ages, reliefs pain immediately
Disadvantages: contains some colourings

...Fantastic pain relief for sore gums for all ages, that's how I'd sum up Liquid Anbesol. I remember using this when I was little so it must have been when my second lot of teeth were coming through. I remember it always got rid of the pain but never considered using it for my baby as I thought it was too severe for little ones. So fast forward 25 years (ish) and it was time for me to have my first child. If you're like me, you will read a lot around different topics on babies but will always appreciate someone's own experience more from knowing that they've been there and got the t-shirt. I was told that you can't go wrong with Calgel for teething, it's far better than Bongela. Wanting to save a few pennies, we first ignored this advice and bought Boot's own teething gel. The day had arrived and our son was seriously... Read review

I Have Not Been To A Dentist In 12 Years!!
Review of Anbesol Liquid Antiseptic and Anaesthetic by  amberlevi267

Advantages: Fantastic product in every way possible
Disadvantages: none

.... This was a complete joke, I was having to pay this money out because I worked and no NHS dentist would touch me. My husband was registered at a dental practice a few miles away so I have now been placed on their list, I have had to wait 18 months for my appointment but at least I can say I now have a dentist and I am trying to overcome my fear. While I was suffering from the bad tooth ache, I discovered anbesol liquid. This was found after trying many other teething remedies. ANBESOL Anbesol liquid is the only product I have ever found that actually worked, it seemed to numb the pain and I was able to eat and carry on as normal. The liquid comes in a small 6.5ml glass bottle with a small push down to release cap, it is bright yellow in colour and the smell can only be described as a mouthwash smell. I have found this to give me rapid... Read review

Pain Relief
Review of Anbesol Liquid Antiseptic and Anaesthetic by  ajaybie

Advantages: Relieves pain
Disadvantages: Tricky to apply

...No, it's not for piles. The name sounds like it might be though. Liquid Anbesol is actually used for relief from mouth ulcers, teething pains and denture irritation. I have used it occasionally for mouth ulcers, and also when my wisdom teeth were coming through and causing me a lot of pain. You can get it from Boots, and probably most chemists. In Boots it costs £2.99. I got mine from the pharmacy-bit of Boots, and had to ask for it behind the counter, as it wasn't available on the shelf. I'm not sure if this is always the case, but if you can't find it on the shelf it would be worth asking. I think you can now get an Anbesol gel as well, I don't know what that's like. It comes very simply packaged in a little white box with red, blue and green writing on it. There are instructions on one side of the box, as well as a more detailed... Read review

Not to be confused with Anusol.....
Review of Anbesol Liquid by  LostWitness

Advantages: See review
Disadvantages: See review

...tongue. I have been a great sufferer with mouth ulcers for many years - something I seem to have inherited from my father (bless him for his benevolent gift). They come in fits and starts - some months I have been reduced to tears with three or four festering little critters, and I have tried all sorts of treatments and remedies. The local chemist was keen to recommend Anbesol liquid. Although designed primarily for teething babies, this liquid is also suitable for soothing mouth ulcer pain. The little bottle of liquid costs around £2.00, so it's not very expensive stuff, but you do have to ask the pharmacist for it. The liquid acts primarily as an anaesthetic, deadening the affected area, which effectively sooths the pain. The liquid also contains "stuff" to prevent infection. The first thing you will notice about Anbesol... Read review
