...For as long as I can ever remember my Mother only bought Anchor butter,it was lovingly stored in a red plastic butter dish,and the `butter paper` was kept to line the cake tins! I have to agree that there is little that can equal the rich dairy taste,that solid yellow block of heaven is just scrummy spread onto toast or crumpets. It may need to be softened a little before use,but its worth waiting for,the new fangled spreads aren't even in the running! A great favourite with the chefs of the world and packed with nutrition. This is a free range product,rich,creamy and very pure. Butter made from the freshest milk and Anchor is held in the highest of regard. ANCHOR MADE BY HAPPY COWS

...I have recently purchased Anchor butter after many years of buying those healthy margarine spreads. Anchor butter was part of my childhood and can remember sitting by the fire eating toasted teacakes with Anchor on them and enjoying that lovely salty taste. Anchor butter comes from New Zealand from cows feed only on grass. They are not given any artifical feed or animal growth hormones which are not allowed in New Zealand. The butter is made from fresh milk not by reconsiituting milk powder and ankydrous milk fat..We are told that butter made from cows who eat grass alone is higher in omega3, beta caroteneand vitamin A. So from now on the only butter I will be speading is Anchor even through it can be difficult to spread...

Anchor Butter is the best

...One thing that you should remember about Anchor Butter is a few years ago it ran a series of adverts with singing cows, you must remember this because it was annoying, as most adverts are. Anchor butter is without a doubt the most creamy of all the butters that are available, also one distinguishing thing with Anchor is that it is a deeper yellow than all of the others which shows that it is creamier. The butter is from New Zealand, I think and according to their adverts, Anchor cows eat grass all year round. The packaging is, if I can remember, quite simple and it has a red anchor and green text and that is about it on the packet. It comes in 1/2lb and 1lb packs which are 250g and 500g for us young ones. ...Anchor butter from New Zealand has long been a big favourite with British housewives and,I should add,this reviewer as well. New Zealand is one of the least polluted coiuntries on the planet and dairy cows also have fine pasture to graze on. No wonder dairy products from the "land of the Kiwis" are held in such high esteem. Now the Anchor butter people have come up with Anchor Spreadable in nice containers. ...I love my food but one thing I also love is to have something served either on or with my food. I am more a savoury over sweet person which obviously means things like crisps, bread and toast but toast would not be complete without butter. I have tried lots of butter brands Flora, St Ivel etc but none beat Anchor in my opinion and for years now I have been a loyal Anchor spreader. When Anchor used to be advertised on TV it used to be a bright sunny background, green grass, blue background and cows. Not exactly the most normal advert but humerous and I like the image that Anchor butter brings. So the first impressions of Anchor butter well it is a beauty to stare at. But every now and again, I like to try something different and when I found a money off coupon in my wallet the other day for Anchor Spreadable, I decided to give it a try. Anchor Spreadable is a blend of real free range Anchor butter and vegetable oil. According to the label, it does not contain colourings, flavourings, preservatives, additives, e-numbers or emulsifiers. It is made up of 60% butter, 31% vegetable oil and 1.3% water and salt. You cannot fail to miss it as it comes in a bright plastic tub, with a picture showing a green meadow, a bright yellow sky and a big red anchor on the lid and around the sides.
