Salou, Hotel Los Angeles

Advantages: Beach, Scenery, Monday Salou Market, Close to Barcelona, Cheap (there and presents to bring back)
Disadvantages: Some people - don't go if you don't like being pushed out of the way by locals!

...What a wonderful holiday! We searched the Internet for ages for information on our hotel prior to our holiday and found nothing - so here you are for anyone else interested in going! Hotel Los Angeles is 5 minutes from the beach, less than one minute to the bars (across the road!) and less than one minute to the restaurants and shops. It is very commercialised - you don't feel like you're seeing much of Spain, but the cheap prices for everything including our holiday and beautiful scenary and beaches make up for it. The hotel itself is a bit more than basic - it has 2 twins and either a single or bunks in the two rooms we had between the four of us (myself, my boyfriend and two friends, all early 20s). A bath and shower and TV (only CNN English speaking). The walls are paper thin. I would not recommend it as a hotel for light...

The Angel Hotel-Glittering Elegance

Advantages: Central location. Beautiful. Lavish. Great food
Disadvantages: Difficult to find any

...In August 1999 my daughter visited Cardiff and had a two night stay in The Angel Hotel,which is opposite Cardiff Castle and close to the city centre and the sparkling new Millennium Stadium.This hotel is steeped in history for its origins go back to 1666,which makes it the oldest and most famous hotel in town. The place has been skilfully modernised but managed to retain its gracious decor and furnishings to make for a very relaxing stay. The elegant,well equipped,en suite guest rooms have all the modern creature comforts : satellite TV,tea/coffee making facilities, a spacious bathroom,bath robes,bathroom slippers and there was even a bowl of fruit awaiting us. Now, being a lad from Manchester I thought the only Bury was situated in Lancashire and was famous for its black puddings. What a wonderful hotel

Advantages: Luxury, spotlessly clean, wonderful food
Disadvantages: Full price would be too expensive for me!

Last week he had to travel to Cardiff and whilst looking for a suitable hotel I suddenly remembered that, as members of the Leisure Break Club, we would have the chance to take two nights for the price of one at The Angel Hotel owned by the Paramount Group. Leisure Break members always have the chance of this offer during January, February and March each year. I found the brochure and discovered that two nights for the two of us at The Angel Hotel Cardiff, which is a four star hotel, would cost £102 for bed, breakfast and evening meal! But, in the one week which I have been wearing it, I have had about 5 people stop me and ask me what kind of fragrance I am wearing. Angel isn't by all means a new fragrance. ...Angels and Demons was released May this year, I watched the Da Vinci Code and therefore felt it a responsibility to watch Angels and Demons. I thoroughly enjoyed the last movie and even though I personally view sequels to be less exciting than the first films, I went to see this on one of the first showings as I?m a sucker for any mystery thrillers and this was definately one which I had anticipated for some time. I took a girlfriend with me to see it and she had not previously seen the Da Vinci Code, nor was she entirely sure of the storyline behind Angels and Demons.
